McCOY, Colonel T.R. "Tim" Retired (1918-2005)
Passed away peacefully Sunday, February 13, 2005 surrounded by his children Terry, Susan and Cathy and grandchildren Sofie, Tamira and Timo at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa. Predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth MUNROE and survived by his dear brother George. Fondly remembered by his niece Barb and nephews Larry and Doug in the Hamilton area and by his many Friends around the world.
Distinguished veteran of World War 2, Dieppe, survivor and career Army officer. His military career began with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry at the beginning of World War 2. He was wounded in action during World War 2 and after the war he joined the Royal Canadian Regiment in London and was subsequently appointed Commanding Officer of the First Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment. Later in his career he was appointed Commandant of the Canadian Infantry Training School in Camp Borden, Ontario and served as a Senior Staff Officer at Headquarters Northern Army Group (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) based in West Germany. Following his retirement from the military in 1971, he contributed for many years to international development, as Executive Director of the Canadian Hunger Foundation, as well as project director of Canadian International Development Agency in Dominica and as a volunteer. He was also an active member of the Royal Canadian Regiment Association (Ottawa Branch), the Royal Canadian Military Institute and other organizations. He is fondly remembered by the many people whose lives he touched as a person who loved life and lived it to the fullest with zest, generosity, a sense of humour and incredible determination. A Funeral Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 347 Richmond Road, Ottawa, on Friday, February 18 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Heart Institutie or the Intensive Care Unit at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus. Suddenly at home on Sunday, August 14, Blake HARRIS, age 63. Beloved father of Grant, Ryan (Lindsay CORSAUT.) Fondly remembered by wife Sharon HARRIS. Loving Poppa to Ben and Emma HARRIS all of London. Dear brother to Douglas (Jennifer) HARRIS of Sarnia, and sisters Carol SOUTHERN, Mildred BEHIE and Alma WITHEROW of Saint Thomas. Brother-in-law to Jackie MUNROE. Loved also by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by parents Grant and Wilhelmine, and brother Jerry. Blake was successful in the welding supply business for 30 years in Southwestern Ontario. He enjoyed country and western music, morning coffee club at A&W and spending time with his grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by daughters, Cynthia REID of Brookline, Massachusetts and Susan MARLEY (Jack) of Mississauga. Carmen was predeceased by two brothers and her dear sister Helen ADAM/ADAMS.
She leaves 8 grandchildren; Heather MUNROE and Leslie CARR (Brian) of British Columbia; Robert REID (Kathy) of Collingwood, Joanne WILSON (Nolan) of Kitchener, Cathy PATERSON (Kent) of Uxbridge Jennifer SMITH (Andy), John MARLEY (Tara O'BRIEN) and Patrick MARLEY (Jennifer NEWMAN) all from Toronto; as well as her 19 great grandchildren: Blake and Alison MUNROE: Natalie and Adian CARR; Evan, Kayley and Stewart REID; Aaron and Joel WILSON; Chelsea and Sarah PATERSON; Matthew and Kate SMITH; Noa, Lauren and Alexandra MARLEY; Samantha and Sara MARLEY. Born near San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1909, Carmen grew up in New York City. In 1938, Carmen married Arthur and moved to Toronto. Her happy life included summers with family and Friends at Thunder Beach, and golfing winters in Naples, Florida.

Loving mother of Stanley (Margaret) MUNSHAW, Carol Ann (Greg) GONDER and Donna SANDERSON. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Taylor and Kristen MUNSHAW and Samantha and Jordan SANDERSON.
