She will be deeply missed by her children, Eugenio (Adelina) FERRARO, Ida (Salvatore predeceased February 27, 2003) Cundari, Adamo (Virginia) FERRARO, Luigi (Rosa) FERRARO, Esterina (Giovanni) MOSCA, Mario (Caterina) FERRARO, Erminia (Bruno) ORRICO, Emilio FERRARO, Carmela (Frank) DILELLO, Otello FERRARO (Lina MIRANDOLA). Maria was the proud and loving "nonna" to 33 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister Rosaria, brothers and sisters-in-law Francesco (Anna) VERRE, Oresto (Sisa) VERRE, Enrico VERRE, Gaspero (Maria) VERRE. Surrounded by his family, Mario passed away peacefully at York Central Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, on November 22, 2005. He was a wonderful husband and devoted father. He will be missed by his wife Anna, his daughter Rosa PALMERI and Family, daughter Franca GISMONDI and Family, and daughter Mary POLSONI and Family. With▼ love we commemorate the passing of Dr. Rebeka (Reva) MOSCARELLO, at St. Michael's Hospital with her family at her side on Friday, February 11, 2005 at the age of 72 years. Reva was the beloved and devoted wife of Mario whose 50th anniversary would have been this June. She is treasured and will be very sadly missed by her son Raphael, daughter-in-law Rill and grandchildren Tia and Dominic; and daughter Carmen and grand_sons Matthew and Nathan. A beloved sister, Reva will be greatly missed by Saul and Sarah. She has touched the lives and will be fondly remembered by so many relatives, Friends, colleagues and patients.
Born in Calgary, Reva moved to Toronto to attend university. She graduated from University of Toronto medical school in 1959 and went on to specialize in psychiatry. In addition to her private practice, Reva was Psychiatrist at Women's College Hospital for 40 years and dedicated her professional life to the advancement of women's health. She was also Assistant Professor for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She loved to travel and to present her extensive research and publications.
However, the most important aspect of Reva's life was always her family. Her kindness, gentle nature, generosity and never ending support made her family's world a wonderful place to be. Reva loved the farm, the peace and tranquility of Prince Edward County and all the good times that were shared there. A fabulous cook and gracious hostess, she made all feel welcome in her home. Reva played the piano, loved music and appreciated and supported the Arts.
You will live in our hearts forever, our "Dearest Darling' Reva, Mom, Boba.

It is with great sadness that on the 10th anniversary of the death of his wife, Angela, we announce the passing of Giovanni STEA on Friday, September 16, 2005. Giovanni died at home peacefully, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by his nine children Maria (Vito) CHIECHI, Teresa (Nick) NOVIELLI, Raffaele (Tina) STEA, Donna (Ferdi) MOSCATTINI, Grace (Nick) SANDALUCK, Franca (Saverio) DIMITA, Mina (Joseph) PANZA, Vito (Rose) STEA and Nino (Trina) STEA. Giovanni was tenderly cared for at home and his life was extended by the care he received from his children and especially by the extraordinary care he received from his primary caregiver, his daughter, Teresa, for which the family will forever be grateful. Giovanni will be greatly missed by his sister. He leaves behind relatives in Canada and Italy. There will be a Mass to celebrate his life at St. Roch Roman Catholic Church (lslington Avenue south of Steeles Avenue) on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 10: 30 a.m. Giovanni will be buried next to his wife, Angela, in Sannicandro, Bari, Italy. Sylvia Marie "Mickey" (née RODGERS) MacKAY of London passed away at age 71 on Saturday, July 23rd, 2005. Mickey lost her battle with cancer and his gone to be with her parents Elaine and Stew RODGERS, and her sisters Anne NEWMAN and Barbara BIBBY. Her special son Kenny (The Light of her Life) and dedicated son Rodger (Cindy and Samantha) as well as her sister Jan SHUKER (Larry) were beside her along the way. Wife, mother, grandmother, . Born January 27, 1930, in Gasinci, Croatia. Died May 28, of liver failure, in London, Ontario, aged On December 23, 1953, Barbara SCHMOLL boarded a train to Woodstock, Ontario from Pier 21 in Halifax. She and her four-year-old daughter had arrived there from Austria on the ocean liner Arosa Kulm after a choppy Atlantic crossing. At age 23, Barbara was a widowed war refugee starting a new life for the second time in less than a decade.
Born into an affluent German farming family in Croatia, Barbara was the youngest of 13 children. Her idyllic childhood ended abruptly during the Second World War. Barbara's father packed what was left of their family and possessions into a horse-drawn cart one night and made their way to a refugee camp near Vienna, Austria -- a 29-day trip in a blustery November.
Three years later, at age 16, she lost her mother and became a foster mother to three orphaned nephews.
Barbara's life in the camp was transformed at age 18 when she met Walter SCHMOLL, a 24-year-old German refugee from a Serbian village no farther from her Croatian home than Kingston is from Toronto. They soon married and had a daughter. But her life was again shattered when, driving home from work one day on his Moped, Walter was killed by a truck. The baby was six months old.
With about a Grade 10 education, widow and single mom Barbara faced huge survival challenges. She had to buy food and clothing for herself, her child, her aging father and three nephews. They all lived in one room in the camp. Barbara sewed dresses and shirts from used parachutes. Eventually, her nephews were adopted by a family in the United States, her father moved to Germany and Barbara left for Canada. In Woodstock, she initially roomed with family, walking around town knocking on factory doors for work. Doing odd jobs, she cobbled together a living for herself and her daughter, made new Friends and became fluent in English. Over time, she moved to London, Ontario, and worked her way into a job as a mail clerk at London Life.
After settling down with her second husband, John MINOW, their two sons and her daughter, she finally had a complete family of her own. But in 1979, she was widowed again and faced with supporting her two teenaged boys alone.
Nevertheless, her formidable determination and spirit quashed all adversity and helped her survive yet again.
Never forgetting her ancestry and homeland, Barbara regaled her children and grandchildren with countless stories of their heritage. These ranged from tales about her father making wagon wheels to lessons about doing math in your head. To help her children feel that heritage, she took them to visit Europe, and never lost touch with Friends and relatives back home and elsewhere.
In 1988, Barbara accompanied Friends to a New Year's Eve party in Petrolia, Ontario, and danced her way into a new love and marriage with Stan YARC that lasted until she died almost 16 years later.
The couple made a pilgrimage to Central Europe, where they had grown up in neighbouring countries. They became snowbirds, bought a place in Florida and made countless new Friends. They continued to express their passion for music and life through social events at seniors' clubs and various German Clubs in Ontario and Florida. She also embraced Stan's family.
Barbara delighted in nature, sunshine and gardening. Grape arbours, fruit trees and flowering bushes provide shade and fragrance for her sunny backyards, while European lace curtains on her windows stir gently with the breezes.
All things beautiful to remind us of her.

She will be greatly missed by her 49 grandchildren and her 31 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Thursday, February 10 from 7-9 p.m. and also on Friday, February 11 from 5-9 p.m. The funeral will be held at Riverside Missionary Church located at 456 King St. E. on Saturday, February 12th at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
