Peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family, at Bluewater Health - Palliative Care, on Monday, December 19, 2005. James (Jim) TODD, 65 years of Petrolia. Jim served his country for 10½ years with the Royal Canadian Navy, then worked as a process operator at Imperial Oil, farmed in Enniskillen Township, was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 216, Petrolia, and had a life-long enjoyment of music. Jim is survived by his wife, Marie (née BARKER,) his children, Michael of Petrolia, Janet and David MORAN of Sarnia and Robert and Sue Ann of Petrolia, his grandchildren, Brooke and Bradley MORAN and Cameron and Eric TODD, a brother of Douglas and Blanche TODD of Elora, a sister, Nancy and Allan LAWTON of London and a sister-in-law, Sandra STEEVES of London. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Delmer and Ada TODD (née REYNOLDS) and brothers, Robert, Edward and William TODD. Cremation has taken place. Wife, love and centre of the universe for more than 60 years to Walter PACHOLKA, Pamela passed away at Saint Anne's Veterans' Hospital. She leaves five devoted children - Jane McMAHON (Hartley,) Robin HARDMAN (Graham), Michael (Urszula), Anne, and James (Teresa) - seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pam was born in Croydon, England to Maurice and Dorothy MORAN. During World War 2 she was a nurse and then joined the Royal Air Force where she trained as a meteorologist and met Wally. They were married in December 1944 and arrived in Canada in May 1945. Pamela will be remembered by all who met her for her smile and graciousness, and for her many contributions to Canadian society. The cremation and burial service at the Field of Honour in Pointe Claire will be private. She will also be honoured during the Veterans' Memorial Service on June 5, 2005 in Pointe Claire. Donations to Saint Anne's Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated. We love you, Pam and will miss you dearly.

Sprucedale, Ontario -- A British Columbia businessman has been identified as the victim in a fatal snowmobile crash near this central Ontario community. Michael MORAN, 40, of White Rock, British Columbia, was driving a rented snowmobile when he collided with a tree on Monday morning and died. He was in Ontario on a business trip when he and several others decided to go snowmobiling, Ontario Provincial Police said yesterday.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Harold BARRETT on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at the age of 83. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, he was a clever, funny and kind man who lived a rich life. His adventures took him to Italy during World War 2. He was also stationed in London, England where he met and married his beautiful wife, Win, after which he worked for Bell Canada until retirement. In later years, he was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 11. Beloved husband of Winifred, brother to Robert, Elma ROUNDELL and Lillian GALLANT. Cherished father of Dennis, Lorraine (and Michael) MORAN, and Christine (and John) BODRUG. Peacefully at Hay Bay Retirement Home on Saturday, January 29, 2005 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband Ernest Edward CORNELL in 1981. Survived by daughter, Pamela Ann CORNELL, of Kingston, and granddaughter Anthea JACKSON (Matt WARD) of New York City. Born July 17, 1914, in London, England, she was the daughter of the late Sigmund and Rosalia (KISSLING) MORAND, from Nuglar-St. Pantaleon, Switzerland. Bertie came to Canada as a war bride in 1945 and lived most of her life in Morrisburg, Ontario, where she received a special award for her volunteer contributions as a Brownie and Girl Guide leader, a member of two choirs, a teaching assistant at Saint Mary's Separate School, and general all-round friendly, helpful person. She moved to Kingston to live with her daughter in 1993, and into a retirement home in 2000. A tree-planting and celebration of her life will take place in the spring. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children, on October 31, 2005 at the age of 87. Wife of 52 years to the late Hon. Mr. Justice Donald R. MORAND. Much loved mother of John, Raymond, Margaret, Katy and her husband Billy LEWIS and Paula and her husband David McGREGOR. Fondly called "Grandma Goodwitch" by her grandchildren Jacquie, Michael, Michele, Megan, Sarah, Riley, Carson and their spouses, and great-grandchildren Ashleigh, Sierra, Quinn, Rogan, Maxim, Kenna, Arwen, Veronica, Luca and Georgia. Survived by her sister Pat NANTAIS. A special thanks to Mom's caregivers Janice CLARKE and Maureen LINDSAY for the love, care and humour they shared with Mom. Mom was much more than a great Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was creative, funny and full of surprises. Mom will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
