Fern was the daughter of the late Katherine and Walter KAISER and sister of deceased brothers, Harvey and Bruce. Predeceased by her husband and best friend Bill (September 20, 2004). Every day he told his wife Rita that he loved her, and his children were his pride and joy whom he adored. Ric was an avid golfer, but he only golfed on days that ended with a "y". Rita has lost the love of her life, and David and Nicole their much loved Dad. son of the late Amy and Joe OSTER, dear brother of Terry OSTER (Pat) and Peggy MARCUS (Dave;) brother-in-law ot Mary VEITCH (Archie) and Rose LEWIS (Ray.) Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Thursday, June 2, 2005, Frances Evelyn (COCHRANE) MARDLIN of London and formerly of London Twp. in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late John Wesley MARDLIN (1989) for 50 years. Cherished mother of Evelyn and Bill CROSSAN of British Columbia, Hazel and Wayne MATTHEWS of London, Marlene and John BARNES of Florida, Jack and Wilda MARDLIN of London. Loving and proud grandmother of Brad and Donna, Bart and Linnea; Kelly, Christopher and Robin, Kevin; Sean; John and Martina. Great grandmother of Kelsey and Jared; Erica and Noah. Predeceased by her parents William and Isabelle COCHRANE, her brother Mervin COCHRANE and sisters Grace OLIVER and Mary PRINGLE. Frances will be sadly missed by her dear friend Marianne HOARE.
Early in her career she taught in rural schools in Middlesex County and later on, in special education for the London Board of Education. After retirement, she spent many years as a volunteer at Lucan Public School. She was also a lifetime member of Bryanston United Church. Frances was passionate about her faith, family, Friends and all children. She always had time to spend with a child. She will be sadly missed and remembered by many Friends for her strength and generosity, passionate convictions, sense of humour and abiding love. Friends may call to the C. SWIST, Daniel J. passed away on January 13, 2005 in Henderson, Nevada. Daniel was born on August 19, 1919 in Manchester, New Hampshire to the late Emilia and Jacob SWIST. He graduated the University of Alabama where he earned a B. S. degree in Business Administration and Accounting. His entire Business School senior class enlisted in the military after Pearl Harbor and he served in the combat infantry in France, Germany and Holland, receiving several commendations. Later, he graduated from the Boston University Law School and began a career in government. He worked in Washington, D.C. for the State Department, the Department of Labor and the Treasury Department's Internal Revenue Service. Daniel married the love of his life, Wilda Ethel GALLOWAY on November 27, 1963. In 1976, he and Wilda retired to Clearwater, Florida and later moved to Phoenix, Arizona. His beloved wife Wilda died on September 1, 1998 and the light went out of his life. He is also predeceased by his sister, Wanda PIEKOS. He is survived by a host of nieces: Sonia-Kay KEIRSTEAD of Tallahassee, Florida; Janie M. RAY of Lowell, Massachusetts; Sheila HATT, Helen SAWCHUK, Edith GALLOWAY, Virginia WYLDE, Wilda MARDLIN, June EDWARDS, Mary Lou DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS, Cathy GALLOWAY, and Dr. Susan Burgess NESBITT, all of Canada, and two nephews also of Canada, Charles BURGESS and Thomas GALLOWAY. A military and memorial service will take place for both Daniel and Wilda SWIST at the National Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona on March 10, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m.

Passed away peacefully on September 14th, 2005, in her 82nd year, with her family present, in the Intensive Care Unit unit of the Trillium Health Centre (Mississauga), following complications from a recent series of strokes. Born in Dubno, Ukraine, Maria survived the displacement of populations that occurred during and following World War 2 in Europe, and immigrated with her husband to Belgium in 1947, and then to Canada in 1949. She retired from Ontario Hydro in 1983. Predeceased by her husband Andry (in 1977), she is survived by her children George, Helen and son-in-law Stephen, Anne and son-in-law Peter. She was a loving grandmother to Mark and Andrew (Mizzi) and Philip (Sochan). Maria was multilingual and a fervent supporter of religious, cultural and educational activities in Canada and her native Ukraine. She will be missed, but not forgotten. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit unit for the kindness and care they showed Maria and all those who visited her during her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to your favourite charity. Survived by her sister Gloria MARREN, her niece Anne Marie KERSEY, nephews Bob and Patrick RONDOT and her community, the Sisters of St. Joseph. Her parents, Denis MARENETTE and Ida (BONDY) and her sister Juliette (RONDOT) died some years ago.
Sister Mary Denis, native of Windsor, Ontario, was a graduate of Saint Mary's Academy and of the University of Windsor, pursued post graduate work in French at Laval University. Her contribution to education from 1943 to 1973 was Primary School to Senior Secondary and Principalship. At the end of her teaching ministry, she gave her life to a wide variety of jobs; homemaking and pastoral work in Leamington, serving at Marion Villa, London and hospitality and tutoring of students at Mount St. Joseph. Although Sister Mary Denis engaged in so many works of our community, her most profound work was her patient enduring blindness and total inaction for fourteen years in our infirmary, Ignatia Hall. (Resident of Seven Oaks Residence in Scarborough, Ontario) Passed away suddenly in Scarborough General Hospital after a brief illness, in her 89th year. Loving and supportive wife of the late Ladislav (Leslie) RADA (1977.) She will be sadly missed by her children Otto P. RADA (Margaret) of Toronto and Sonia RADA of Port Perry three loving grandchildren Steven, Mark and Melissa as well as many Friends in Canada and Slovakia. She was born in Slovakia on April 29th, 1916 to Jan HUDAK and Anna HUDAKOVA (SIPOSOVA,) both deceased. She will be lovingly remembered for her generosity by her surviving sister Margita GALGANKOVA (Ferdinand) and her brother Vojtech HUDAK (Libena - deceased) as well as her many nieces and nephews in Slovakia. Her endless generosity, kindness and charity will also be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Greta MARES (Eugene MARES - deceased) and Ann ROSENZWEIG (William ROSENZWEIG - deceased) as well as their children and grandchildren in the United States.
