Anne MAGOVERN (PITT) died May 12th at the age of 102, at St. Joseph's Home in Richmond, Virginia with family and the Little Sisters of the Poor at her side. Anne was born in London, Ontario in 1902, the daughter of Sylvester and Mary Jane PITT. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing in London, Ontario. Predeceased by her loving husband Dr. Malcolm MAGOVERN in Saratoga Springs, New York. She was the beloved mother of Dr. Tom and Bruni MAGOVERN of Chevy Chase, Maryland, Dr. Malcolm and Linda MAGOVERN of Ashland, Virginia, Mary Anne and Dr. James O'NEILL of Naragansett, R.I. and Jane and Sam HANFORD of Brookline, Massachusetts. Anne is the sister of Fred and Mona PITT of London, Ontario. She was predeceased by her sister Helen and Dr. E. LOUGHLIN of London, sister Connie and Andy McGUIRE and Luke BRODERICK of Windsor, Ontario, Margaret and Roger DES ROSIERS of Windsor and London. Sister of Syl and Madeline PITT of London, Ontario. Sister of Jack and Mickey PITT of Windsor, Ontario. A funeral mass was celebrated in the chapel of St. Joseph's Home in Richmond with the family and the Little Sisters of the Poor in attendance. The Little Sisters of the Poor operate many nursing homes in the U.S.A. and Canada. Burial will take place at a later date in Saratoga Springs, New York.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving father, Burrell, at his home in London on March 20, 2005. He will be forever missed by his five children Patricia SHEARER of Orillia, Brian and wife Linda of Burlington, Allan and wife Janine of California, Kelvin and wife Glynis of Calgary, and Ian and fiancee Mary Jane of Aylmer; and by 8 grandchildren. He will also be missed by dear friend Alma KUNDER, her son Brian KUNDER and his wife Lisa. Burrell was a strong supporter of the London Branch of the Diabetes Association and a life long member of the Masonic Lodge, Sudbury Ontario. At his request his remains went to University of Western Ontario Anatomy Department for medical study. Cremation and family memorial service will take place at a later date. Peacefully on December 4, 2005 at Belmont House in her 84th year. Reunited with her beloved husband Richard (Dick) who died in 1999, Jane will be missed by her children Linda, David (Marie-Noël), Alan (Martha), John, and Margot (Bruce). She was a very special "Manna" to grandchildren Caitlin (Fulvio), Robin (Ryan), Alice and John, and to great granddaughter Isabella. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Marguerite WHEELER and sister Betty ETHERINGTON.
Educated▼ at Havergal College, Jane married Dick MAGUIRE in 1942. During their 57 years together they created a strong, loving family life at their home in Thorncrest Village and at "The Farm" where Jane loved to garden and find bargains at country auctions. Jane was able to use her knowledge of antiques and collectibles to help others as a long-time volunteer with Goodwill. A lover of art, architecture and design, she accumulated a garage full of treasures that "just need a little work." Jane had a sparkling personality, steely determination, and fierce loyalty. She also had an unusual talent for finding four-leafed clovers that amazed her children and grandchildren.
Thank you to the staff of Belmont House for their compassion and care for Jane and her family during her final days. Cremation has taken place at a private family gathering. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

After a long, courageous and faith-filled battle with cancer, Pat died Christmas Eve, December 24, 2005 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in her 69th year surrounded by the love and support of her husband, four children and eleven grandchildren. Beloved wife of Paul and beloved mother of Elizabeth Jane, Kathryn Ellen, Sarah Ann Dadgar (Esfan) and Jonathan Roy Edward (Laure). Beloved sister of Tom MAGUIRE (Donna) of Indian Harbour, Nova Scotia. Loving grandmother to Bill and Samantha; Zahra, Alysha, Nadia and Tameera; Kayla, Laura and Kavan; Alexandra and Colin. Predeceased by parents Loftus and Betty MAGUIRE (née MORRIS) and grandchild Melissa. Sadly missed by many family, Friends and colleagues. Pat was retired from her position as an English as a Second Language teacher at Brock University. Peacefully, at Meadowcroft Place, Mississauga, on the morning of June 7, 2005. Born January 23, 1911. Predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Velma (née GRASS,) his father Albert Edward BELYEA and mother Chloe Ella NEWLOVE, and sister Ella TEASDALE. He will be sadly missed by dear wife Vail, loving daughter and son-in-law Carol and Wally HEGGUM, and grandchildren Greg and Susan MAGUIRE, and his many Friends and relatives. Graduate of Humberside Collegiate Institute, and the University of Toronto (Civil Engineering). Employed by the Province of Ontario in fire prevention and medical engineering, and later was Director of the first air pollution control authority of Metropolitan Toronto. As president of the Air and Waste Management Association he influenced the U.S. government to create the Environmental Pollution Association. An avid bridge player, he won several Ontario and international tournaments. Enjoyed tennis, and took up flying of small aircraft at the age of 81. Our family would like to thank Dr. Michael GITTERMAN, and the kind staff at Meadowcroft Place (Constitution) for their wonderful care. Our dear mother and friend passed away quickly and peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2005 in Burlington. She was 87 and had been suffering from debilitating strokes for several months. Her life was marked by commitment and devotion - to us, her loving daughters Donna (GOODFELLOW) and Bonnie (MORGAN;) to her devoted sons-in-law Fred GOODFELLOW and John DUNCAN; to her cherished grandchildren, Ryan and his wife Joanna and Lindsay and her husband Danny BROWN; to our late father Tommy (BROWN) and our late stepfather Maurice. A long time and loyal employee of Campbell's Soup Company, as private Secretary to nine presidents. She leaves with fond memory, her brothers Don DALY and Carl DALY, her sisters Elma COCHRANE and Velma ORR, and their families in Timmins; her dear Friends Dene MALOTT, Connie MORRIS, Roz MAGUIRE and so many others that she touched in her sweet way. We have been truly blessed to have had her in our lives to show us what quiet, gentle strength is. Reunited with her beloved husband Richard (Dick) who died in 1999, Jane will be missed by her children Linda, David (Marie-Noël), Alan (Martha), John, and Margot (Bruce). She was a very special "Manna" to grandchildren Caitlin (Fulvio), Robin (Ryan), Alice and John, and to great-granddaughter Isabella. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Marguerite WHEELER and sister Betty ETHERINGTON. Educated▲ at Havergal College, Jane married Dick MAGUIRE in 1942. During their 57 years together they created a strong, loving family life at their home in Thorncrest Village and at "The Farm" where Jane loved to garden and find bargains at country auctions. Jane was able to use her knowledge of antiques and collectibles to help others as a long-time volunteer with Goodwill. A lover of art, architecture and design, she accumulated a garage full of treasures that "just need a little work." Jane had a sparkling personality, steely determination, and fierce loyalty. She also had an unusual talent for finding four-leafed clovers that amazed her children and grandchildren. Thank you to the staff of Belmont House for their compassion and care for Jane and her family during her final days. Cremation has taken place at a private family gathering.
