Age 93 of Chatham formerly of Dresden passed away Wednesday November 2, 2005 at Thamesview Lodge, Chatham. He was born in Camden Township son of the late George and Hattie (LYNCH) FORSHEE. He had farmed in the Tupperville area for many years. Austin was a member of Dresden Community Church, member and Past master of Sydenham Masonic Lodge # 255 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, Past Grand Steward of Grand Lodge, member of O.E.S. and a former member and treasurer of Zion United Church Tupperville. His wife Ethel (BIRD) FORSHEE predeceased in 2004. Surviving are two daughters: Nancy and Jim BLACKBURN of Wallaceburg, Rosemary NICHOLLS and Lorne JONES of Victoria, British Columbia; one son Robert FORSHEE of Chatham; five grandchildren: Brad and Diane BLACKBURN, Beth BLACKBURN and Shay REISE, Barbara BLACKBURN and Todd HOLMES, Robert FORSHEE and William FORSHEE. On Friday, February 18, 2005, Dorothy, in her 80th year died peacefully at home with her daughter, Diane and son, David at her side. Dorothy was born in Ottawa on January 1, 1926. She moved to Toronto with her first husband, Morris DUFF, in 1951. After raising her children, Dorothy worked at Ledbury Park Junior High, David S. Reid, and Curtis Mathes. After her retirement, she volunteered at Churchill Public School and received the Mayor's Volunteer of the Year Award. Dorothy was a long time supporter and Board member of Unicamp. She attended and served on the Boards of Willowdale and Don Heights Unitarian congregations. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, John LYNCH. A woman with a great passion for life, Dorothy will be sorely missed by her family and Friends. Loving mother of David DUFF and his wife Lorrie, and Diane DUFF and her husband Mike LONGLAND. Grandmother of Alix and Graeme LONGLAND and Kelsey and Hayley DUFF. Sister-in-law of Barbara DUFF. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carl LYNCH on Friday, October 14th, 2005 after a lengthy illness. Beloved husband of Anna (RUSH) for 49 years, and proud and loving father of Karen, Charles (deceased), Nancy, Sheila (Eric), David (Arden) and Colleen (Patrick). Much loved Granddad of Aidan (LE SAUSSE), Kelvin (LANGNER), Sean (LYNCH), John (LE SAUSSE), Kayla (LANGNER,) and Ryan and Colin (LYNCH.) Born in Marmora, Ontario, Carl was the eldest son of the late Vincent LYNCH and Anna (MALONEY.) He is survived by two sisters: Patricia (Barry) OLSON of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Anna (James) COSGROVE of Havelock, and four brothers: Morris (Bernadette) of Marmora, Doug (Eleanor) of Deloro, Keith (Yola) of Havelock, and Vincent (Joy) of Belleville. In 1952, Carl graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering. He began his career with General Motors Diesel in London, Ontario, moving to Deloro Stellite before joining the Aluminum Company of Canada (Alcan) in Kingston in 1957. In 1961, he transferred to Alcan's Montreal head Office, where, over the course of 30 years, Carl earned an international reputation as a leader in his field. On Monday, October 31, 2005, Muriel Eleanor FORREST (née PAPPLE,) died at Scarborough Grace Hospital. At her bedside were son Neil, his wife Sheila PROVAZZA and Muriel's companion John LYNCH. Muriel is survived by sister Marion PULHAM. She was sister to the late Doug PAPPLE. Born in Brantford, Muriel met and married the late George "Duke" FORREST and settled in Toronto. Muriel and Duke lived and worked in many parts of Canada and loved to travel. After retirement, both were active at 36th Ulster Division and Canadian Legion 345, enjoying close Friendships. Muriel was devoted to Neil and Sheila, making a special place for their Friends in her life. Ever young and convivial, Muriel will be deeply missed by her sister Marion, niece Sharon, nephews Gary and Don, sister-in-law Ethel, Jeanne LISTER and many loving family members and Friends. Peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, November 17, 2005 in her 83rd year, at Aurora Resthaven. Marie, loving mother of Jeanne and her husband Gary SCHNIEDER/SNIDER/SNYDER; Christine and her husband Marty KITTAKA; and predeceased by her son Jean Pierre LAVERGNE. Grandma Marie will be lovingly remembered by Jennifer and her husband Bill LYNCH, Pamela SCHNIEDER/SNIDER/SNYDER, and Max KITTAKA. Dear sister of Theresa DUGGAN, Adrienne HINDS, Patricia and Wayne FULFORD, Annette BODI, Michael and Marion DUGGAN, and special aunt and great aunt Marie to many nieces and nephew. LYNCH, Thomas Clark (September 12, 1912-November 29, 2005)
Beloved husband of Ellen for 63 years, cherished father of Leslie. He also leaves nieces Janice, Judy and Margaret and their children, and relatives and Friends in Scotland, the United States and Canada. Tom was born in Scotland and emigrated with his family to the Pittsburgh area as a teen, moved as a young adult to Hamilton, Ontario, and to Scarborough in 1953. He participated with devotion and energy as a member of the Christadelphian faith, in Toronto at the Church Street assembly. An accountant and business manager, he retired as controller of Parkin Architects. In the years when his eyesight permitted, he enjoyed the sport of curling. Funeral service will be held at Pine Hills Visitation, Chapel, and Reception Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough (north of St. Clair), 416-267-8229, on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Memorial donations made to the Scarborough Hospital Emergency Room Campaign would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
