This gentleman and soldier left us as he lived, quietly, with pride and dignity at Parkwood Hospital on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005, in his 85th year. "Ted" is predeceased by his parents George Alfred ROE (Evelyn Alice) of Victoria, British Columbia, his brother Dr. John A. ROE (Kae) also of Victoria, British Columbia his loving wife of fifty years - Eleanor "June" ROE (1992,) 2nd wife Dorothy FEENEY (2003.) He is survived by daughter Sheila LENAERTS (George) with their four children Benjamin VARTY, Michael VARTY, Tara CRAIG (Pete) and Georgina PERCIVAL (Michael). Also survived by son John "Vincent" ROE (Jan) of Red Bay, Ontario and daughter Patricia ROE- FLAHIFF (Robert) with their three daughters Kamilla, Alanna and Natalie of Montreal, Quebec. A tribute to "Ted" will take place on Thursday, August 25th, in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Parkwood Hospital with visitation from 10: 00 a.m. until time of Service at 11: 00 a.m, Reverend Jose SEMINATI officiating. Private interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Peter joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1949, graduated from Toronto Teacher's College in 1956, and earned his B.A. from the University of Waterloo in 1975. His teaching career of 33 years was mainly in the Oxford County Catholic Schools. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish, the Knights of Columbus, and the Retired Teachers of Ontario. A proud Newfoundlander by birth, a Torontonian for 34 and a Victorian for 50 years, Doug embraced the Victoria Community with executive service on the boards of the Symphony Musical Arts Society, Parking Commission, Chamber of Commerce, Young Men's-Young Men's Christian Association, J.R. Pearks Clinic, Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Christ Church Cathedral he was a driving force in the move of the University of Victoria to the Gordon head Campus.
For 22 years he was Victoria branch Manager of Canada Trust, subsequently an Investment Counsellor for RBC Dominion Securities.
For over 45 years Doug was an active member of the Union Club (B.C.) and Victoria Golf Club. His Toronto life reflects a singing career with late wife Margaret - in Mendelssohn Choir and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
Three musician-children-Norman, Vivienne, Jocelyn, son-in-law Rudolf LENHART, grand_son Doug, two great-grandchildren, the extended Abbott family in greater Toronto/Niagara area, Saint John's (Newfoundland), Williamsburg (Virginia), and Naples (Florida), and a network of close Friends and caregivers all celebrate his radiant life.

Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jennifer and her fiance Jeremy LENK of Toronto, Jeffrey of London, by his sister-in-law Hazel GARNISS of Hamilton and by many nieces and nephews. Al was predeceased by his siblings Glen GARNISS, Helen Scott HOLLAND and Margaret BALLANTYNE. Al was raised in Bluevale, Ontario, then made his home in London for 62 years. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway where he made many good Friends and later enjoyed three decades of retirement. Her passing marks the last of her generation in the family of the late Isabella and George KERR.
Dorothy was raised in Wingham, Ontario. After marriage in 1939, she and Al shared the challenges and joys of life for the next 62 years in London, Ontario. "Heaven has just become richer as Dorothy "Dot" LENNAN has been received into Heaven with love, after a long, courageous battle with cancer". Dorothy died at Bluewater Health Norman Street Site, Sarnia on December 5, 2005 at the age of 84. Dorothy was an Audit Supervisor at Sears for 25 years, was president of the Sarnia Pilot Club and was a volunteer at Bluewater Health, Norman Street Site, for 12 years. She was also involved in the Relay for Life, was a valued member of the Women's Missionary Society, volunteered with Community Living at Wawanosh Enterprises and was an active member of Laurel Lea-St. Matthews Church. Dorothy met the challenges of her illness with much love and altruism. God sent angels to care for Dorothy in the persons of the very caring and concerned nurses of Palliative Care, until God was ready for her. Loving and devoted wife for 63 years of Roy E. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. at Laurel Lea-St. Mathews Church, 837 Exmouth Street, Sarnia. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
