On July 21, 2005 at age 78 after a long but valiant battle with
cancer.
The loss of our 'Omit's' generous and joyful spirit brings a
great sadness to her husband Atis, sons Edgar and Paul, daughter-in-law
Sandra and grandchildren Karina and Tomas, as well as to the
many family and Friends whose lives she touched.
A visitation (12: 00-1:00 p.m.) and a memorial service (1:00-2:00
p.m.) will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at York Cemetery Chapel,
160 Beecroft Rd., North York (N.W. of Yonge St. and Sheppard
Ave.) followed by a reception at the Latvian Canadian Cultural
Centre, 4 Credit Union Drive, Toronto (S.W. of Eglinton Ave.
and Victoria Park Ave.)
Having received so many beautiful flowers from Friends and family
over her lifetime, Resa suggested that in lieu of flowers, if
desired, donations be made to Saint John's Lutheran Latvian Church,
200 Balmoral Drive, Toronto, Ontario, M4V 1J6, or to charities
helping children in Latvia.
