Loved stepmother of Wayne and his wife Darcy HANEMAN of Kanata, and Joanne HANEMAN of Florida. Grandmother of Rick ERICKSON of Chelsea, Michigan, Lynn CHAUVEAU of France, Mark and Jamie GREEN of Saint Thomas, Tyler and Lucas HANEMAN of Kanata. Loved sister of Theresa ATKINSON of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, Geri and her husband Sidney KIRSH of Toronto, Olive and her husband George HILL of Victoria, British Columbia, Eva GALLEY of Halifax, Donald and his wife Myrtle MacROBERTS of Porters Lake, Nova Scotia, Francis and his wife Karen MacROBERTS of Lawrence Town, Nova Scotia, Virginia and her husband Ian LAWTHER of Prince Edward Island, Thomas and his wife Norma MacROBERTS of Lake Echo, Nova Scotia, Louella and her husband Ian HART of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She will be sadly missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins and 9 great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by brothers Charles and Bernard MacROBERTS. She was born February 14, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Emily MacROBERTS of Nova Scotia. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas, until Monday morning and then to Holy Angels Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. Interment Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Sunday at 4: 00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the London Regional Cancer Clinic.

Mrs. Bertha Irene McCREARY a life long resident of the Wallaceburg area passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance "Sydenham Campus", in Wallaceburg in her 100th year. Bertha was born in the Wallaceburg area and was a daughter of the late Edward and Carrie (HUCKLE) SYKES. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wallaceburg. She was in the 1927 graduating class of R.N's from Public General Hospital. She was a member of the Nurses Alumni of Public General Hospital. Bertha was a Supervising Operating Registered Nurse with Public General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Edwin "Owen" McCREARY (1982.) Dear mother and mother-in-law of Helen and Glen LAWTON of Chatham and Howard and the late Beverley McCREARY (2004) of Wallaceburg. Loving grandmother of Laura and David LAWTON- WEAVER of South Carolina, Darryl and Leslie LAWTON of Virginia, Ross and Michele McCREARY, Lynn McCREARY, Lorne and Wendy McCREARY and Cherly McCREARY all of Wallaceburg. Great grandmother of Levi, Owen, Samantha and step-great grandmother of Mark and Renee. Also survived by a sister-in-law Dorothy SYKES, many nieces and nephews and two special care givers Deb CHARPANTIER and Heather SOUTHGATE. Predeceased by her brothers Gordon, Orval, Art, Ivan and Lavern, her sisters Helena, Laura, Hazel and Florence and a brother-in-law Franklin. The late Bertha McCREARY rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin Street, in Wallaceburg until Thursday, March 17, 2005 when the funeral service was held from the chapel of the funeral home at 2 p.m. Pastor Brian HORROBIN, officiating. Mrs. Barb MYERS presided at the organ and Lois MYERS sang "In The Garden," Lynn McCREARY offered the Eulogy. Pall Bearers were Ross McCREARY, Lorne McCREARY, Lynn McCREARY, Cheryl McCREARY, Deb CHARPANTIER and Heather SOUTHGATE. Flower Bearers were Levi, Owen and Mark. Interment has taken place in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg, Ontario. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Rosemarie Miller Doctor Recruitment Program may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Bertha McCREARY.

Of Saint Thomas, formerly of Union, passed away peacefully at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 9, 2005, in her 78th year. Wife of the late C. Max JAMIESON (1994.) Mother of Joan LAWTON and her husband Alex of R.R.#4, Saint Thomas, Patricia McPHERSON of Goderich, Linda GORDON and her husband Bill of R.R.#7, Saint Thomas, and Jacki FINNEY and her husband Larry of R.R.#4, Saint Thomas. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Born in Delaware Township, Ontario, December 23, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles and Luella (KELLEY) McLEAN. Mrs. JAMIESON was a former employee of the Sheridan Inn, Elgin Manor, Clevite and Bell Canada. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment in Union Cemetery. Peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family, at Bluewater Health - Palliative Care, on Monday, December 19, 2005. James (Jim) TODD, 65 years of Petrolia. Jim served his country for 10½ years with the Royal Canadian Navy, then worked as a process operator at Imperial Oil, farmed in Enniskillen Township, was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 216, Petrolia, and had a life-long enjoyment of music. Jim is survived by his wife, Marie (née BARKER,) his children, Michael of Petrolia, Janet and David MORAN of Sarnia and Robert and Sue Ann of Petrolia, his grandchildren, Brooke and Bradley MORAN and Cameron and Eric TODD, a brother of Douglas and Blanche TODD of Elora, a sister, Nancy and Allan LAWTON of London and a sister-in-law, Sandra STEEVES of London. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Delmer and Ada TODD (née REYNOLDS) and brothers, Robert, Edward and William TODD. Cremation has taken place. After a courageous battle with cancer we sadly announce the passing of Patrick Michael John LISTON on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 in Kingston, Ontario. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Sue. Cherished son of Ruth TURNER (Don WEST;) dear brother of Shelley McCOLL (Wilbert LOGAN) and lovingly remembered by Robina LAWTON (Richard) and his favourite aunt Lois GOUDIE. Patrick will be missed by the entire Couper clan and his extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, many Friends and Church family. A Memorial Service was held at Pine Grove Community Church, Seeley's Bay.

Died quickly of an aortic aneurysm in Muskoka in her 90th year with her usual grace and sweetness, surrounded by family and her dearest and best friend Syd JACKSON. Beloved wife, for 57 rich and wonderful years, of the late Stanley E. KERR, who died seven years ago. Cherished mother of Sheila (Dennis O'NEILL,) Kitty (Julian HAY,) and David. She adored her grandchildren: Carolyn O'NEILL (Lorne ROTHMAN), Kathleen O'NEILL Carter (Tony), Jennifer McCARTHY, Alex McCARTHY, Andrea, Roxanne and Austin KERR; and her great-grandchildren: Quinn and Arielle ROTHMAN, William Stanley CARTER and Annabel Viola CARTER. Dearly loved by her many nieces and nephews: Barbara (Bill LEACH/LEECH/LEITCH,) Jay BRADSHAW (Jinnie), Pat CROMIE (Ron), Stephen WILGAR (Judy), Jeremy WILGAR (Barbara,) Betsy PERKIN, as well as Patricia LIPTRAP (Bob,) Peter LAWTON (Pat), Peggy McISAAC, the late Joyce DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS (Bob), Ken SELBY (Anne.) A role-model for all of us, Vi knew how to live life to the fullest and right up until her very last breath. Friendly, sociable, kind, clever, funny, articulate, well-read, musical and glamorous. Thoughtful, charitable, forgiving, hopeful a quintessential Christian. Born in 1915 in Toronto, the daughter of Clarence and Maudie WILGAR, sister of Adelaide BRADSHAW, Alan WILGAR, Warren WILGAR, and Dorothy BELL, Viola is the last of her generation. She attended Brown School and Havergal College, became a nurse at the Toronto Central Hospital, and after staying home with her children, engaged in a 40-year successful career in real estate at Johnston and Daniel. She continued to be involved in her many activities right up until the day she died. Not only was she involved in organizations such as Lawrence Park Community Church and the Serenata Singers, but also, played excellent bridge, threw dinner parties for Friends and family at her house, enjoyed the Muskoka cottage and travelling. She always kept in touch with Friends in good times and bad. She left this message for us: "Let not your hearts be troubled. I have lived long and well and have had and given lots of fun and laughter." The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), on Tuesday between 6-8 p.m. Funeral services to be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Park Community Church, 2180 Bayview Avenue.
