grew up in "old Toronto", she went to Havergal on Jarvis Street,
and then the new Havergal on the Hill. The long hot summers were
spent swimming, and picking blueberries at Sans Souci. For a
short time she was secretary to the University of Toronto History
department, followed by marriage, children, dogs and the "cabin
" at Caledon. While Blondie struggled with the hydraulic ram,
Hope gardened, protected the birds from predators and welcomed
many Friends, kids and grandkids. Although her heart and soul
were in Toronto, she moved to Vancouver in 1999 to be near her
family. At Royal City Manor she was lovingly tended by the caregivers
there. A celebration of her life will be held June 2, 2: 30-4:30
at The Pen Café, 101-319 Governors Court, New Westminster, British
Columbia. A second celebration will be held in Toronto at a later
date. No flowers but, a donation to your favourite charity in
Hope's name would be appreciated.
