BERRY, Dorothy L. (née HARPER)
Mrs. Dorothy L. (HARPER) BERRY, formerly of Saint Thomas, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Extendicare, Port Stanley, in her 86th year. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her husband, Donald W. BERRY of Metcalfe Gardens, Saint Thomas, son, Thomas BERRY and his wife Sue of Winnipeg, and her loving daughter, Wendy SLOTA and her husband Paul of Saint Thomas. Lovingly remembered by her surviving grandchildren, Laurie HARMER and her husband Steven, Jason SLOTA, all of Saint Thomas, and Dana BERRY of Winnipeg. Also survived by her only great grand_son, Brandyn CHILTON of Saint Thomas. Predeceased by a grand_son, David BERRY.
Born in Watford, Ontario, November 13, 1919, daughter of the late George and Annie (BRUSH) HARPER. At Mrs. BERRY's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Her cremated remains will be interred privately in Elmdale Memorial Park, Saint Thomas. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Elgin-St. Thomas gratefully acknowledged. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their deepest thanks and gratitude to Dr. Joel KEENLEYSIDE and the staff at Extendicare for their Tender Loving Care of Dorothy over these last years and a special thank you for your support to Dorothy and her entire family during these last few days. At the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, on Wednesday, June 1, 2005, surrounded by his loving family. John Frederick of Port Stanley, and formerly of London, in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Rosalind (TATTON) WOODS, and dearly loved father of John Martin WOODS, Cheryl Anne and her husband John TAKUS, Tracy Lois and her husband Glenn DURIE, and Nathan and his wife Deborah KILLBY- WOODS. Proud grandfather of Emily and her fiancé Gus, Ben and his wife Stacie, Matthew, Amelia and her fiancé Tony, Madison, Sydney, Jacob, and Joshua. Dear brother of Dick WOODS, and the late Bob WOODS.
John was born on May 7th, 1930 in Luton Bedfordshire, England, the son of the late Frank and Elsie Amanda (WREN) WOODS. John was a former employee at Ford Motor Company, and later sat on the Board of Directors and ran an activity group for the Canadian Mental Health Association, was on the Provincial Committee for the Ministry of Health, was a fundraiser for Prostate Cancer Research and Education L.H.S.C., was past President of the Schizophrenia Society, and also performed public speaking on education and family support, all as a volunteer. John was a man who concentrated his efforts towards helping the needy in the London community. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas in charge of arrangements. Remembrances may be made to the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation. The family would like to extend a sincere special thanks to Dr. KEENLEYSIDE, the Nurses on 4th Floor and the Nurses on the Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion. Passed away suddenly in Vancouver, British Columbia on August 19, 2005. She was born 30 years ago in London, Ontario. She was the cherished daughter of Janet and her husband James KEENLEYSIDE- RICHTER of London, and her father Shawn and his wife Deb HEWITT and family of Calgary, Alberta. She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Jeff and Allison HEWITT of Toronto, J.C. KEENLEYSIDE- RICHTER and Shantel of London, grandmothers Verna CRAWFORD of R.R.#1, Monkton, Margaret BOOTH of Brights Grove and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Brydges since he retired 36 years ago. He was a member of Mt. Brydges Royal Canadian Legion.

Predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters, Harvey, Gertrude, Robert, Arnold, Beatrice, Calvin, Ruth, and Reginald SNAZEL. Ken▲ had a life-long passion for auto racing in and around southern Ontario. Died peacefully on August 28, 2005 at Sunnybrook, K-Wing in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Mary, loving father of Mary Ann PEDLAR and her late husband Dick, Joan WILSON and her husband Dave, Benjamin and his wife Roselyne and the late Ken and his wife Pamela DIVER, proud grandfather of ten and great grandfather of ten. Carl volunteered in service of his country in 1942 and served on the destroyer H.M.C.S. Ottawa. He worked for American Optical for 43 years, was member of the Redmen singing group and of Glebe Road United Church.
