East in Kingston on Friday, December 9th, 2005, leaving behind
his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Livingston. He is also survived

JEWELL was a member of The Canadian Army Radar
Training Centre during World War 2; is a Commander Retired of
the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons and a Past Master of Seymour
Lodge #272 A.F. and A.M. During his Engineering career with Marconi
and Westinghouse he was a prolific designer with some 28 patents
to his name and won the Engineering Medal for Engineering excellence.
Friends may call at the Robert J. Reid and Sons Funeral Home, "The
Chapel on the Corner", 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie St.), Kingston
on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will

sunny day surrounded by his family. He was in his 48th year.
He fought a courageous battle against cancer for the past six
years of his life. Those who know him would know not to cry for
him, but to smile and celebrate his life. Beloved husband of
Julia. Proud father of Peter and Katie. He will be missed by
brothers John (Luba) and Dave (Linda), and sisters Christine
(Dan) and Barb (Dave) and his many nieces and nephews. George
will also be missed by his extended family and many Friends.
George was an active member of the community, leaving his mark
on Unionville with the many homes he built with pride. George
was known for his unique and contagious sense of humour. He was
a man of endless integrity and generous spirit. He was fiercely
loyal to family and Friends. His grace and strength was such
an immense presence, it will continue to radiate on the lives
he touched. He will be sadly missed. Family and Friends will

CAPPON of Oakville, "the Litchfield Gang,"
and innumerable others across the country. Ken was born in Montreal
on February 17, 1924, was educated at Daniel O'Connell school,
and volunteered for service with the Royal Canadian Air Force
in 1943. He qualified as a Pilot Officer and survived some of
the most dangerous flying of the war on Wellington bombers in
Europe and later on air transport over "the hump" of the Hymalayas
in support of the British Army in Burma. He continued to fly
in the Reserves after the war until the advent of jet fighters
convinced him that accounting was his true calling. Ken and Emmy
lived in Montreal for many years, and built a beautiful vacation
home at Jay Peak in Vermont that they continued to retreat to
after moving to Toronto in 1980 and on to Oakville in 1989. Ken
was a man of tremendous charm and charisma, combined with a savvy
and determined mind. His personal talents seemed limitless, from
stained glass work through music and writing. His last days were
spent surrounded by the love of Friends and family, and concerned
and professional care from the staff of Three East at Oakville
Trafalgar. Funeral service on Saturday, December 10 at 11 a.m.,
at Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, Ontario
