on Monday, April 4, 2005. She was born in Wilmot Township, Waterloo
County on February 4, 1918 a daughter of the late Christian E.
SCHWARTZENTRUBER and the former Mary
JANTZI/YANTZI.
She married LeRoy
"Roy" SCHLEGEL in Wilmot Township on June 3, 1936. He predeceased
her on December 26, 1983. Mother was a beautiful hostess and
was known for her generous hospitality and her cooking abilities
in summer camps and nursing homes. Following their marriage she
and Roy farmed in Wilmot Township until they founded the PeopleCare
Tavistock Nursing Center in 1968. She was a member of Wilmot
Mennonite
Church.
She was lovingly cared for by Myrna

in Markdale Cemetery.
Memorial donations were directed to the Centre Grey Hospital
Health Services Foundation - Building Fund and the charity of
choice. Following the service the Friends and relatives joined
the family for refreshments and fellowship in Annesley United
Church Fellowship Hall.

Pilot found dead inside ultralight plane

The search for an ultralight airplane and its pilot, missing
since Thursday, ended tragically late yesterday. A civilian spotted
the plane near a residential property about 50 kilometres north
of London.
The body of the pilot, Emil
JANUSIEWICZ, 41, of Waterdown, was
found in the plane. Earlier yesterday, planes, snowmobiles and
searchers on foot had scoured the heavily wooded area.
Transport Canada will conduct an investigation into the cause
of the crash.

April 26, 2005 after a protracted struggle with Progressive Supra
Nuclear Palsy. Born in Sandwich, Ontario on November 2, 1920,
Bill grew up in Queensborough and operated a large poultry farm
in Port Coquitlam until he entered the army. During the war,
he served as a drill sergeant stationed in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
In 1947 he moved to Vancouver Island and was planer mill foreman
at Western Forest Industries in Honeymoon Bay from 1947 to 1963.
He also served as Chief of the Honeymoon Bay Volunteer Fire Department.
After a brief term as western sales rep for P.B. Yates Equipment
in Vancouver, Bill created Marwil Services Ltd., helping to build
the sawmill industry in the Pacific Northwest. He retired to
Mayne Island in 1984 where he built his dream home at Village
Bay. His pleasant retirement was spent between Mayne Island and
Palm Desert, California. In his latter years, Bill lived in White
Rock, eventually settling at Brock Fahrni veterans' pavilion
in Vancouver where he passed away peacefully on the evening of
April 26. Bill exemplified the ethics of hard work and fairness.
He valued honesty and integrity in others and was respected for
those fine qualities himself. Bill will be especially missed
by his three sons, Bill Jr. of Whistler, Robert of Bellingham,
Washington, and Barry of Gibsons, by his seven grandchildren,
his first wife Beatrice, his two brothers Alec and Mitchell and
his sisters Nellie

October 16th, 2005. She will be dearly missed by both Friends

at Princess Margaret and S.R.T. nursing staff who were so kind.

February 26, 2005 in her 91st year.
Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, talented homemaker, gardener,
arts enthusiast, antique collector and hostess extraordinaire,
she went silently and very gently into that good night. Born
in Vienna in the early months of World War I, she lived in Austria
and former Czechoslovakia until she emigrated to Canada in 1951
with her husband and four (soon to be five) young daughters.
From her mother, Matilde
BOUKAL, an opera singer, and her father
Richard WALDEK, owner of the Grand Hotel Waldek in Pilsen, she
interited a love of opera and a remarkable sense of style. Friends
and family have witnessed with sadness more than a decade of
dramatically declining health. Her daughters are very grateful
to caregivers Francine
BARIT and more recently Brenda
SYLVESTER
together with the dedicated staff of the 6th floor at Leisureworld
Scarboro.
Predeceased in 2002 by her husband of 63 years, Jaro, she is

away at the age of 69 in his home at Paint Lake, Manitoba, surrounded
by his loving family. Arnold is survived by his wife Gail and

Raynie, Max, Carl and Paige. Arnold with his wife Gail, the founders
and creators of Calm Air International Ltd., lead a dynamic and
challenging life building one of Canada's largest privately owned
regional airlines. His soft smile and witty charm will be missed
by the many people he captivated each day. Today Calm Air serves
communities throughout Manitoba and the Kivalliq region of the
Nunavut. *Among his innumerable accomplishments, Arnold served
a term as Mayor of Lynn Lake in the late 70's. He sat on the
Board of Directors for Manitoba Telephone System from 1994-2001
CDEF - lending arm of the provincial government; Director of
Airline Transportation Association of Canada; Northern Cancer

Arnold's life will be remembered
