HOWARD,
Harold
July 12, 2004
Beyond Integrity
At his place of residence, the Bobier Villa, with medical care
and family nearby Harold
HOWARD passed away Twelve July 04. His
passing initiated an ongoing period of sorrow. It also marked
the end of a life that was lived as much for others as for himself.
Perhaps starting as an obedient little boy it developed his way
of life. That way of life showed clearly through as he spent
years in the navy, spent years at his volunteering and municipal
duties in their village and in most directions of his life. Warm
relationship with his caring and attentive family would be his
reward. Any overshadowing of that characteristic would be the
dedicated care given him by his loving wife Winn during his declining
years and through his death. Hers was an unflagging and compassionate
performance. And now she walks alone. But in walking alone it
will be on their chosen path, a path with spiri tual guidel ines,
a path that bears the footprints of their children, a path drawn
with a moral compass, a path for all their years. So in remembering
we offer our grateful thanks, for we too number among for whom
that life was lived.
Closed is the door to that room in our hearts,
The one that was Harold's to share
Not just because he is gone from us now
But because of the memories in there,
And only should gray skies beset us
With a sorrow too heavy to bear,
Will we open the door to that room in our hearts,
For some of those memories we share.
Frank and Ruth
