Bob later moved to Peterborough, Ontario. He attended Royal Military
College and graduated with an engineering degree. After serving
with the Royal Canadian Navy he pursued his M.B.A. at Dalhousie
University. His business career began in banking in Nova Scotia
and Ontario. He entered the Canadian Tire Corporation in 1992
as a Dealer, beginning with a store in Ontario, and subsequent
stores in Newfoundland, New Brunswick, and British Columbia.
He was a devoted father and a role model to his children, instilling
strong work ethics and values. He set an example for his children
that with hard work and perseverance, they could achieve their
goals. Bob cherished family vacations and time spent at the cottage.
He will be remembered for his generosity, spirit of adventure,
and sense of humour. Bob had a special place in his heart for
Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and was also actively involved
in The Rotary Club. Bob's passion for flying began as a private
pilot at the age of 21 and continued throughout his life. He
was a member of the Duncan and Nanaimo Flying Clubs, Canadian
Owners and Pilots Association and Aircraft Owners and Pilots

A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music, she was an accomplished
musician and served as organist at Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church
for many years. Reta was loved by all who knew her and will be
