Grandfather of Sara BROOKS, Joel AHRENS, Justin AHRENS, and Abbie KEIRSTEAD. Albert enlisted in the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps. in 1941 and served until 1945. He farmed all his life in Orford Township. He was a member of Erie Street United Church. God saw you were getting tired,

John REID, born in Dutton, Ontario, passed away in London on April 15, 2005 in his 75th year. John is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Myrtle Helen REID (née WHYTOCK.) He will be dearly missed by his four sons and their wives, Rob and Barb REID of Princeton; Scott and Sandy REID of London; Greg and Marianne REID of London; and Chris and Pam REID of London. "Grandpa" will remain in the hearts of his 7 grandchildren, Heather, Liz, Kayla, Jake, Bryce, Allison and Adam. He will also be missed by his siblings, George and Isabel REID, Jeanette HILLS, Mary and Tom DOWNIE, Leonard and Dani REID, and sister-in-law Sandy REID, and his brothers/sisters-in-laws Jim and Joan WHYTOCK, and Muriel and Claire EVERITT. John is predeceased by his parents Clifford and Bella Maria (ENABELLE) REID, his sister Beverly ZOLLER, and brother Jim REID.
John lived a full life, spending most of his working life in the foundry business, with George White and Gudgeon Brothers. He was a member of the Masonic Temple for almost 50 years. John will be remembered for working with his hands and willingly helping others fix and repair things - there wasn't much that he couldn't take apart and put back together. He had a love for being outdoors and took great solace in gardening. John also received much joy from his parrot, Hawkeye. Having battled with lung cancer, John and his family would like to extend a special thanks to all of his caregivers who did so many things to help. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), London. The world lost a wonderful man suddenly, Thursday, December 22nd, 2005 in his 80th year at Nanaimo Regional Hospital in British Columbia. Loving father to Jim (Robbin) GOULD of Brampton, Ontario, also to Jean, Sue and Annie GOULD of Toronto, Ontario and Ronald GOULD of Florida. Beloved Grandfather to Matt, Phillip, Meggan and Mitchell GOULD of Brampton, Ontario. We love you Grandpa GOULD! Beloved and loving companion to Hazel WHITTINGHAM of Parksville, British Columbia. He will be greatly missed by Hazel and her children Brenda SEELENMAYER (Paul ROUSE) and her children Sean and Clayton, also Corinne HILLSDEN (Glen) and their furry children Amber, Bailey and Cheena. He will also be missed by his step-children Sue SHERLOCK (Barry), Tom SHERLOCK (Sue) and Mary SHERLOCK. Arnold is survived by his brother Ross GOULD (Jeannette) of Scarborough, Ontario and by his sister Shirley GAUVREAU of Islington, Ontario. Beloved brother to the late Jack and Ken GOULD of Toronto, Ontario. He was a beloved son to the late Philip and Beatrice GOULD of Etobicoke, Ontario. Arnold retired after a 43-year employment at Canada Post, including Regional Director and President of Toronto Local Canadian Union of Postal Workers. He finished his career in Parksville, British Columbia. He was also a World War 2 Veteran, serving overseas with The Royal Canadian Air Force 419 and 429 Squadrons. Arnold was a loving and generous man and always had a smile or was willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbours, Friends and family. A service is to be held in Parksville, British Columbia, Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the Parksville Funeral Home. There will also be a memorial held in Brampton, Ontario in January. Born in England and came to Canada in 1924. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Maude HILTON, sister-in-law Doreen DAUBERGER (2004) and William and wife Martha FAZACKERLEY. Survived by 6 nieces and several great and great great nephews and nieces in California and Canada. Rupert was employed at London Typesetting Co. until his retirement in 1969. He was a member of Saint John's 209A Masonic Lodge having recently received his 75 year membership pin and was a member for many years of the Scottish Rite. Rupert was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Middlesex, a past Lt. Governor and Legion of Honour Member (25 years) of Kiwanis International and a Mel Osborne Fellow. Ken taught at W.C.I. and is still fondly remembered by numerous students, he then went into business and was involved with McLellan and Hilts Real Estate Ltd. and Jamieson-Hilts Insurance Agency Ltd. Ken was the last founding life member of Craigowan Golf and Country Club, and a longtime member at Central United Church. After a courageous battle with illness, Bill NICHOLLS passed away peacefully into God's arms at Humber River Regional Hospital on February 26, 2005 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Cora Jane (CLINE,) married over 58 years. Loving and caring father of Nancy and Ekkehard HEIDEBRECHT, Cora Lee FORGIE and Harry PEAK (predeceased,) and Trevor and Heather-Anne NICHOLLS. Adored by his grandchildren, Wendy and Jeff SELLARS, Ryan and Kamilla HEIDEBRECHT, and Natalie and Ian VAILLANCOURT. Proud great-grandfather of Samantha, Cody, Holly, Mitchell, and Kameron. He will be lovingly missed by his "adopted" family, Larry and Joanne PERRY, Catherine, Adam, Michaela, Sarah Jean, and William STARK, and Darryl and Aurea PERRY. He is remembered for his gregarious nature, his love of people, and his determination to live life to the fullest. His love of God gave him strength throughout his life and illness. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of the Humber River Regional Hospital, Church Street Site, and the caring homecare workers of Community Care Access Centre.
