Departed this life on January 23, 2005, with her family by her side, at the age of 75, taken by an aggressive cancer. Cherished mother of Stephanie JENSEN, Derek SMITH and Scott SMITH; beloved mother-in-law to Cindy SMITH and Jocelyn SMITH; proud grandmother of James JENSEN and Kalyn SMITH; dear sister of Ruth TISDALL, Frank NUTSON and Dorothy REYNOLDS and the late Bill NUTSON, Marjorie HASTIE and Mary TROW. She is survived by her former husband Tony SMITH and many loving nieces and nephews. Terry was born October 3, 1929 in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario, grew up in Toronto and moved to San Francisco in her late twenties. She married Tony in San Francisco and they raised their family in Larkspur, California. She enjoyed tennis, golf and sewing and made many Friends in her communities due to her wonderful sense of humour and her young and fiery spirit. Terry was a lady who was easy to talk to as she was such a good listener and you knew she truly cared. She moved to Petaluma, California in the 1980's to be closer to her daughter Stephanie and was a dedicated supporter of her children and grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be truly missed. A memorial service will be held on February 12 at 11: 00 a.m. at her Parish of St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mt. Parkway, Petaluma, California with a "celebration of life" reception in her honour to follow at the Sheraton Hotel, 745 Baywood Drive, Petaluma. Flowers may be sent to the church or donations can be made to St. James Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Jeanne Maria JANSSENS a resident of Port Lambton passed away on Monday Juanuary 24, 2005 at C.K.H.A. Sydenham Campus, in Wallaceburg at the age of 92 years. She was born in Hoboken, Belgium and was a daughter of the late Jozef and Maria (PALMANS) SOMERS. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and the C.W.L. in Port Lambton. Jeanne immigrated to Canada in 1949 with her husband and children. They had resided in Blenhiem and Leamington until they farmed on the 5th concession of Sombra Township. Beloved wife of the late Edward H. JANSSENS (1979.) Loving mother and mother-in-law of Georgette and the late Roger Apers of Tupperville, Yvonne and Hector VAN DAMME of Wallaceburg, George and Marcia JANSSENS of Dresden, Frank and Nancy JANSSENS of Port Huron, Christine JANSSENS and her friend David FREED of Victoria, British Columbia and Margaret and Joe VERHOEVEN of Chatham. Sadly missed by 21 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Kind sister-in-law of Rosalia JANSSENS of Belgium and August and Josephine JANSSENS of Kerwood. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant daughter, one sister and two brothers. The late Mrs. JANSSENS rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin Street, in Wallaceburg, until Friday, January 28, 2005 when the funeral mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Port Lambton at 10: 30 a.m. with Fr. Greg BONIN, celebrant. Mr. Dennis MYERS presided at the organ and the church choir sang the mass. A eulogy was given by Jean ELLIOT/ELLIOTT. The readings were done by Eric VERHOEVEN, Ellen Jennen and Michelle ANJIMA. The pall was placed on the casket by her children. The gifts were brought up to the alter by Joanne JOHNSTON, Brian JOHNSTON, Linda STEFINA, Erika STEFINA and Lisa VERHOEVEN. Pall Beaerers were Rene APERS, David APERS, Ed JANSSENS, Gerry JANSSENS, Ron VAN DAMME and Michael VERHOEVEN. Flower Bearers were Kathleen VANDEVENNE, Jennifer HASTINGS, Donna JANSSENS and Jane McFADDEN. Interment was in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery. A 25-year-old London woman, critically injured in a car crash Saturday in Lambton County, died yesterday of her injuries, police said.
Magdalena IZAKOWSKI was a passenger in a car that collided with another at the intersection of Oil Heritage Road and Aberarder Line in Lambton, police said.
[The driver of the car IZAKOWSKI was riding in was Kurtis HASTINGS, 25, of London, and the driver of the silver Honda was Margaret LEGUE, 21, of Forest, Lambton Ontario Provincial Police said.]

Winifred Audrey McMURRAY of 140 Glendon Road, Stratford passed away suddenly at the Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, August 20, 2005, in her 82nd year. Born in West Nissouri Township, she was the daughter of the late Bristol and Elsie Phyllis MARKHAM) HOLDEN. Winifred was an active member of Saint John's United Church, Stratford, a long time member of the Conservative Party of Perth-Wellington and a member of the Brown's Women's Institute. She delivered meals for Meals on Wheels and Neighbourly Services and took Festival guests in her home for many years. Winifred was an enthusiastic golf, crib and euchre player.
She was predeceased by her first husband James Norman KINKADE and her second husband Harry Webber McMURRAY. Peacefully, on Monday, October 31, 2005 at Trinity Village Care Centre, amidst the love of her family, in her 91st year. Predeceased by Lorne (2000), her loving husband of 57 years. Sadly missed and always remembered by her children; Anne Maria McKERRAL (Cal,) Rosemary GUERREIRO (Michael,) Virginia ANDERSON (Robert) and Mary Jane GUTOSKI (Donald) and her grandchildren, Steven, Angela, Andrew, Amy, Jocelyn and Graham. Also remembered by her sisters, Sister Leona TRAUTMAN, Rita HASTINGS and Kathleen MAYNARD, her brother Howard TRAUTMAN and many nieces and nephews. Raised in Formosa, Ontario, Elmina lived in Kitchener for over seventy years. She was first employed at Tony Day Knitters and later at Terry Williams Sweater Company for more than twenty years when she retired in 1981 to care for her grand_son. A 43 year breast cancer survivor, Elmina devoted much of her life to caring for others. She was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's League. 84, of Stratford passed away at University Hospital, London on Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Born in Stratford, September 4, 1921, a son of the late Frank H. and Nora CORRIE. Loved and loving husband of Alice Jean CORRIE. Loved and loving father of son Robert CORRIE. Also survived by his brother Maynard and wife Florence; niece Martha and husband Tom CRAIG and their daughters Andrea and Jennifer, Clinton; his sister Beryl and her sons Dana of Santa Clarita, California and Glen of Nevada; niece Norma and husband Craig DICKERSON and their sons Stephen and Tyler, Lindsay. Predeceased by his brother Glen, brothers-in-law Harry and Bill and sister-in-law Erie. Jack served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1942-1945 with the 419 Squadron. He later was employed by Prudential Insurance Company for 35 years as an agent and staff manager. He was Past President of the Festival City Senior Kiwanis Club, served on the Stratford Perth Housing Authority and was a board member of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Stratford, a former Elder and Clerk of Session and Sunday School Superintendent. Cremation has taken place with burial in Avondale Cemetery at a later date. Passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2005 to join his loving wife, Helen VACHA (2001.) They are survived by their daughter, Sandra Elizabeth. Predeceased by his mother Ina L. HICKS of Loyalist Heritage, South Bay, Prince Edward County, father William Johnston ORR of Kingston, younger brother Billy and older brother John Lewis (Jack 2003.) Survived by his loving sisters Mary HASTINGS (Lionel) of Regina and Dorothy QUINN (Bob-2004) of Grayslake, Illinois. An Honours student in the Faculty of Medicine at University of Toronto (1941-43), he joined the war effort in the Royal Canadian Navy Reserve, subsequently joining Canadian General Electric (1946-54) in Toronto and Vancouver. A brief stint as a Field Worker at the Department of Public Welfare in Toronto propelled him back to university for a B.A. and on to a career as a teacher/guidance counsellor at Parkdale Collegiate Institute (1959-76), Bloor Collegiate Institute (1976-80) and Parkview Secondary (1981-84). In retirement Douglas served his church and maintained the home in which he and his own family grew up. His fondest memories were of time spent with family in Prince Edward County where his Loyalist ancestors settled some five generations before him. 'Uncle Doug' will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews for his honesty, faithfulness, compassion, integrity and dedication to his family. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 18, at 1: 00 p.m. at The Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel, 2035 Weston Road, followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery. Lillian is survived by her brother Roy, of Calgary,▲ sister-in-law Velma CLAYTON and her cousin and dear friend Mary-Louise LAMONT, both of Toronto, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Clara CLAYTON, of Lambton Mills, brothers Robert and Lewis, and sister Helen HASTINGS, all of Toronto. Lillian was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Toronto and was also a longtime member of the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene. The family will receive Friends at the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene, 477 Manning Avenue, Toronto, on Thursday, November 17, 2005 from 12: 00 noon to 1:00 p.m. A service in celebration of Lillian's life will be held in the Church at 1: 00 p.m. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of the Wesburn Manor Home for the Aged for their excellent care during Lillian's time at that facility.
