BOWLES, David Thompson
With sadness, we announce the passing of David BOWLES on Friday, December 9, 2005, aged 69. Beloved husband of Shirley. Devoted son of Elizabeth (and the late William R. BOWLES) and loving brother of William (Lynne). David leaves behind to celebrate his life his children: Karen (Bill) HAMMOND, Lori (Paul) RIVEST, Shirley (Michael DARBY;) and cherished grandchildren Derek, Paul Michael, John, Martha and Michael.
David was president of Carton Trade Services for 20 years, and a respected business leader in the paper box industry. In his youth, he was a fierce defenseman for the Junior A Barrie Flyers. He continued to play hockey for many years afterward, enjoying the camaraderie of his teammates in old-timers' hockey leagues. He was a man of great strength, pride and generosity. He was happiest sharing a laugh with his family and Friends, especially when playing jokes on them. His sense of humour had become legendary in his neighbourhood.
Although David had wished to be floated down the Don River in a cardboard box wrapped in blazing Christmas lights, instead the family has arranged for visitation at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt, (416) 293-5211 on Monday from 7-9 and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held in the Ogden Chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
The family would like to convey their deepest gratitude to Dr. SHOGILEV, Durham Access-to-Care, and especially Lara Lemieux for their care and kindness throughout David's long illness.

BOWLES, David Thompson
With sadness, we announce the passing of David BOWLES on Friday, December 9, 2005, age 69. E., Agincourt, (416) 293-5211 on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held in the Ogden Chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The family would like to convey their deepest gratitude to Dr. SHOGILEV, Durham Access-to-Care, and especially Lara LEMIEUX for their care and kindness throughout David's long illness.
