Olivier, Marc-Andre, Benjamin, Samantha, Melanie and Marcus,
as well as his feline friend Lulu. Ben lived life to the fullest,
with no regrets. Coming to Canada with his wife and seven children
in 1970, from Trinidad. He worked various jobs in Toronto, always
finding time to entertain people with his beautiful, powerful
Baritone voice. He enjoyed 24 years working at the Athletic Field
House at Glendon Campus, and made many laugh. In his later years,
you could always find him tending to his tomatoes, or telling
a tale of his many adventures in the West Indies, and England.

from the University of Alberta. Anna was a highly sensitive,
gifted, courageous and caring person. She loved dogs, horses
and hockey. Anna will be remembered with great affection by her

He was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Ottawa
for his work as the minister of what is now called Correctional
Services, but fought his greatest battle against his own government
by vigorously resisting the Spadina expressway. The highway was
slated to run through his riding and he fought hard against it.

December 21, 2005 in his 87th year, after dealing with cancer
with his usual strength and stubbornness, Laurie passed away
peacefully at Scarborough Grace Hospital. Predeceased by his
wife Audrey and brothers Aldwyn and David. An avid sportsman
since his youth, Laurie was a winning school, club and provincial
miler. He participated in football, hockey, golf and until recently,
baseball and curling. At the age of 60 he learned to windsurf
and at 80 he joined the computer generation. At 85 he was Toronto's
oldest first baseman and still winning bonspiels. Laurie enjoyed
his long and successful career and many Friends at Canada Metal
Co. The last few years he took great pleasure in being one of
a group of veterans who listened to young readers. Laurie will
be missed by daughters Lynda and husband Wayne, Rene and husband
Ted, grandchildren Terri (Kerry), Jacqui (Rick), Jordin and Lindsay
(Adam) and great-grandchildren Tom, Chris, Max and Sabrina. His
passing is a great loss to dear friend Pearl. Our family thanks

On December 21, 2005, in his 87th year, after dealing with cancer
with his usual strength and stubbornness, Laurie passed away
peacefully at Scarborough Grace Hospital. Predeceased by his
wife Audrey, and brothers Aldwyn and David. An avid sportsman
since his youth, Laurie was a winning school, club and provincial
miler. He participated in football, hockey, golf and until recently,
baseball and curling. At age 60 he learned to windsurf and at
80 he joined the computer generation. At 85 he was Toronto's
oldest first baseman and still winning bonspiels. Laurie enjoyed
his long and successful career and many Friends at Canada Metal
Co. The last few years he took great pleasure in being one of
a group of veterans who listened to young readers. Laurie will
be missed by daughters Lynda and husband Wayne, Rene and husband
Ted, grandchildren Terri (Kerry), Jacqui (Rick), Jordin and Lindsay
(Adam) and great grandchildren Tom, Chris, Max and Sabrina. His
passing is a great loss to dear friend Pearl. Our family thanks
