Of Chesley, passed away at Elgin Abbey, Chesley on Wednesday, December 21st, 2005 in her 100th year. She will be missed by her nephew George ROSS and his wife Carol, of Toronto and nieces, Mary HICKLING, of London and Evelyn and her husband Ken CARTER, of Ennismore. Very dear friend of Tracy MacDOUGALL, of Chesley. Fanny will be fondly remembered by twelve grandnieces and nephews and many great-grandnieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Glenn and James; sisters, Helen, Blanche and Edith; niece, Gwen Kaufman and her parents, William and Mary (GLENN) ROSS. Visitation will be held at Cameron Funeral Home, Chesley on Thursday from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 where the funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23rd, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. Spring Interment in Chesley Cemetery. Harold Bruce GLENN died suddenly in Cypress, California on Monday, February▼ 7, 2005. Dear husband and best friend of Jessie BUYERS, beloved father of John and Norma, Mark and Carolyn, Jeff and Carol, Scott and Kris; loved grandpa of Mackenzie, Bobby, Riley, Everett, Madeleine and Shannon. Brother-in-law of John and Doreen BUYERS, Donna▼ and Jack CALDWELL, Beverley and Dan BAILEY of the Alliston area. Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bruce leaves a sister Margaret HAYTER of Varna, Ontario and predeceased by a brother Gerald GLENN of Hensall, Ontario. Bruce was a graduate of the University of Guelph's illustrious class of '51 and former head Cattle Buyer for Canada Packers. A service in celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at 3 p.m. at Humbervale United Church, 1447 Royal York Road, Toronto. Dear sister of Mary PEARSON and her husband Chris of Springfield and Janet WOOD of London. Loving wife and partner for over 56 years to Christopher (Chris) Ellis PEARSON. Beloved mother to Rosemary and husband George KENNEDY, Janice and husband Doug McCALLUM, and Kelly PEARSON, all of the Springfield area. Treasured "grammy" to Marcie and husband Matthew TENK, Tillsonburg, Erin and husband Justin CHUTE, London, and Christopher McCALLUM and friend Heather RICKARD of Lyons. Cherished sister to Janet WOOD, London. Also survived by her brothers-in-law Gerald PEARSON and Ronald PEARSON and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Springfield on April 30, 1925 to the late Earl and Mary (GLENN) BAGNALL. Predeceased by her sister Kay (Bruce) MATTHEWS (March 2, 2005,) her brothers-in-law Clarence BRUCE (1982) and Gordon MATTHEWS (1997,) sister-in-law Marie PEARSON (2002) and nephew Kevin PEARSON (2000.) She lived all of her life in the Springfield area and was an active community supporter. She was a former telephone operator and school teacher. Member for over 50 years of Carnation Chapter #135, Springfield and McDonald Chapter #167, Tillsonburg, Order of the Eastern Star; Charter member of the Springfield Lioness Club (1981); former member of the Springfield Women's Institute and long time leader of Springfield 4-H homemaking clubs. She was the caterer for over 30 years at the Springfield Lions Club Hall, long time Springfield news correspondent for the Aylmer Express, and an Avon Representative for over 25 years. She was a member of Saint John's United Church, Springfield. Special thanks to the Red Cross home care workers, Care Partner nursing staff as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital for their excellent care. Beloved father of Doug and his wife Louise and John and his wife Linda. Dearest grandfather of John, Matthew, Andrew, Patrick and Alec, Craig and Erin. Born in Saint Thomas, Ontario to the late Percy and Margaret (BLAIR) DAWDY. Dear sister of Barbara and her husband John POWER of Kincardine and sister of Caroline GLENN of Toronto, Brian POPP of Dutton, Martin POPP of London, Sandra FARRELL of Toronto, Mark EBEL of Wiarton, Jeff EBEL of Midland. Bonnie was born in Saint Thomas on September 20, 1955, the daughter of Fred ZIMMER and his wife Keitha of Wiarton and Betty POPP and her husband Herman of Dutton. Daughter-in-law of Doreen O'NEILL of Saint Thomas. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Bonnie worked over 30 years at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, 25 years as a nurse and the past 5 years in housekeeping. She was a member of Saint Anne's Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Thursday morning and then to Saint Anne's Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital, George Hees Veterans Wing in his 98th year. He will be lovingly remembered by his son John (Carmelita) GLENN and daughter Catherine Ann and Jim COLLIN; grandchildren William, Jeremy and Johnny GLENN, Glenn (Tracey,) Derek and Catherine Sarah COLLINS; great-grandchildren Meaghan and Branden COLLINS. Missed by many nieces and nephews in Northern Ireland. William is predeceased by his parents John and Sarah GLENN, his wife Catherine Ellen and daughter Jean Ellen. William is the last of 11 brothers and sisters. William was born in Kircubbin, Northern Ireland. He immigrated to Canada at the age of 19. William had a career in the army as a Sergeant Major in the R.E.M.E.C. for 25 years and is a World War 2 Veteran. Much thanks to the Nursing Staff 2nd floor L wing. Peacefully on Saturday March 19, 2005 we said good-bye to a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and a special lady. Beloved wife of the late James Vaux FINDLAY. Cherished by her children Rob and his wife Chamaine, Jane SMITH and her husband Glenn, John and his wife Margaret and James and his wife Maria. She was a delighted grandmother to Ryan, Eric, Laura, Emma, James, Joshua, Joseph, Virginia, Meg and Jacob. Dear sister to Gloria GLENNEY, Jack FREEBORN and his wife Marnie and Mary Ellen HOWIE and her husband Earl. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Kathleen FREEBORN.
Her children will always remember her strength, unyielding support and limitless patience. Dorothy could be counted on for a smile when you entered the room, and a tear on her cheek when you left. She often spoke lovingly of her children and her husband, while happily taking us down memory lane to places and activities that she enjoyed while growing up.

BANKS, Irene L.M. (1951-2005)
Peacefully at Grace Hospice in Winnipeg, Irene BANKS died on November 10, 2005. Irene was born and raised in Oxbow, Saskatchewan, daughter of Evelyn and Roy BANKS and sister of Walter (Laura,) Sheila (Reg) Glennie, and Karen (Dick) McMURRAY. She was predeceased by her father, and is survived by her mother, brother, sisters, and niece and nephews, Katherine and Carleton BANKS, Kelsey, Kyall, Devin GLENNIE.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree and certificate with High Honours in Economics from the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus. Throughout her post-secondary education, which culminated in a Master's Degree in Economics from Queen's University, she received numerous scholarships and awards for academic achievement.
After receiving her degree from Queen's University, Irene worked for the Economic Council of Canada before moving to Winnipeg in 1977, where she began a distinguished career in the Government of Manitoba, serving under Premiers Schreyer, Lyon, Pawley, and Filmon. Initially, Irene was a member of the Cabinet's Planning Secretariat and then joined the Federal-Provincial Relations and Research Division of the Department of Finance, becoming the Department's chief economist, and earning widespread respect from colleagues across Canada and in international capital markets for the professionalism, rigour, candour, and brilliance of her analysis.
Despite a tragic and premature end to her professional career, Irene continued to enjoy what she could in life. She maintained her interest in social issues and supported many organizations dedicated to humanitarian goals. A gracious host, she welcomed many Friends into her home for fine food and stimulating conversation. She had a keen interest in dance, music, literature, and art. Irene also had a wonderful eye for design and had filled her home with small objects of beauty and whimsy from around the world. And most of all, she loved to travel. She took great pleasure in her annual trips to spend the winter months in Puerto Escondido, Mexico where she developed many long-term Friendships.
For the past fifteen years she fought a long and difficult battle. She used every ounce of her formidable intelligence and will to push back against the limitations of her illness, to broaden her options, to live life to the fullest. We are left to honour the memory of her immense courage and determination and to miss our friend, Irene.
At Irene's wish her remains were cremated. Also, at her wish, Friends, family and associates are invited to join together for a memorial service in celebration of her life on Saturday, November 26 at 3: 30 p.m. 3 - 544 Wardlaw Avenue in Winnipeg.
In recognition of the care provided to Irene over the past year, donations may be made to Grace Hospice, in care of Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3J 3M7.

Passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the age of 69 years. Ruth is survived by her three daughters, Kim BURROUGHES, Kathy SCHNEIDER, and Debbie BROWN; her four grandchildren, Kelly, Rochelle, Lee, and Cody, her great-granddaughter Samantha as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister JoAnne (George) McDONALD brothers, Frank (Sharon) GLEW, Ralph (Glenyce) GLEW, and Randal GLEW. Ruth was predeceased by her sisters Molly and Margaret Ann and her sister-in-law Mary Jean GLEW.
Ruth worked at Dasco Data in Toronto for more than 25 years prior to her retirement. She was a devoted mother and will be forever remembered as one who sacrificed much for her family as she raised her beloved daughters and her precious grandchildren. A private family memorial service and cremation will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. P. WURTELE and the nurses of Care Partners Team A for their exceptional care and compassion throughout Ruth's illness. LEVESQUE, Clara Isabelle " Peggy" (née GLEW)
Passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2005, at the age of 86. Predeceased by her beloved husband Emery. Loved by daughters Shirley CORRIVEAU and Mary DI CARO, and their husbands Luc and Paul, and son Dale Dee and his wife Barbara. Dear Grandma to Chris and his wife Rosalda, Nathan, Seth, Elizabeth, Ben, and Kim, Kevin and Kelly, and great-grandmother to Natalia. Peggy will be fondly remembered by all of her family and Friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 11: 30 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Church (150 St. Francis Avenue, Woodbridge). Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
