Beloved son of Kevin Andrew and Sandra RIDDELL, stepson to Deanne NOEL, Stephen GILLIGAN, son-in-law of Debra and Bill KEMP. Cherished brother of Shannon RIDDELL. Mr.▼ Michael▼ Gordon▼ "Mike" CHILDS a life long resident of Wallaceburg passed away suddenly on Monday, February 14, 2005 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance "Sydenham Campus", in Wallaceburg, at the age of 45 years. Mike was the owner of the Oaks Inn in Wallaceburg. He was a past president of Wallaceburg Minor Baseball and past president of the Kinsmen Club of Wallaceburg. He devoted much of his time to minor sports in Wallaceburg. Mike was also involved with many Wallaceburg community events. Loving husband of 21 years to Dianne (O'NEIL) CHILDS. Loving father of Tyler, Adam and Jason. Dear son of Gord and Fran CHILDS and son-in-law of Harry and Grace O'NEIL all of Wallaceburg. Kind brother of Michelle and Barry LAJOIE of Sombra, Mark and Theresa CHILDS of Wallaceburg. Kind brother-in-law of Gary and Janice O'NEIL of Wallaceburg, Shirl and Doug GILLILAND of Glencoe, Trish O'NEIL and her friend Andy BAART of Wallaceburg and Stephen and Kim O'NEIL of British Columbia. John JASICA and Fr. John PIRT celebrated the mass and the Life Teen Band offered the music. The readings were done by John VANHECKE, Paul BAERT and John SALISBURY. The gifts were brought to the altar by the Bujaki Family. Doug BABBITT and Harry COURTIS offered eulogy's. The Kinsmen Club formed the honour guard. Flower Bearers were Doug BABBITT and Harry COURTIS. The Pall Bearers were Kim MURRAY, Doug EGLIN, Brian WADSWORTH, Paul BILODEAU, Mike BATEMAN, John SALISBURY, John VANHECKE, Paul BAERT and Randy SMITH. Interment has taken place in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Children's Trust Fund may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Mike CHILDS.

91 years on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Late of the Albuna Townline, Cottam. Loving husband of the late Marion (DEWHIRST) 1983. Dear father of Roger GRIFFIN and Stanley GRIFFIN of Toronto, and the late Glen (2000) and his wife Pat GRIFFIN of Cottam. Beloved grandfather of Carly and Katie. Also survived by a sister Beulah LEFEVRE of Leamington, and a sister-in-law Evelyn GRIFFIN of Cottam. Predeceased by sisters Francis WHITE/WHYTE, Gladys McKENZIE, and brothers Bill, Murray, and Alvin. Ivan was born and raised on the very same farmland that is known as 'Home' to the Griffin Family today. Along with his wife and children, farming became a way of life that he enjoyed very much. He was a member of the Albuna United Church and most recently Cottam United Church. He was a member of the O.F.A., the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge, and the Leamington-Mersea Historical Society. Ivan could be found at the Pleasant Valley Community Center enjoying a game of cards with Friends or ten pin bowling at the Thunder Bowl in North Ridge. (Long time resident of Midhurst and retired from General Electric) After a short but valiant fight with cancer at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, on Tuesday, September 20th, 2005, in his 85th year. Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife Eleanor (McLEAN) BROOKS (1994.) Predeceased by his dear friend Elizabeth CRAIG. Jack will be dearly missed by his daughters Beverly GILLILAND (California) and Sherry BROOKS (Lindsay,) and his step-son Gerry McLEAN. Predeceased by step-sons Gordon and Gaynor McLEAN. Left to grieve his passing are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack leaves two sisters Joyce (Joseph) MORELL and Erva (and the late Sandy) CARTNER, and a brother Ken (Dorothy) BROOKS. GILLINGHAM, Reverend Ralph G.
Passed away suddenly March 27, 2005 at age 84. He was predeceased by his dearly beloved wife of 52 years Vera, with who he is now forever re-united, sisters Hilda, Sybil, Beatrice and Annette, brother Jim, and survived by brother Gordon and sisters-in-law Grace and Mini. He will be dearly missed by son Robert, daughters Judy and Barbara (ANDERSON) and son-in-law Bill. Numerous nephews and nieces spread across Canada will recall his affection and interest in their lives. Ralph was born and raised in Safe Harbour, Newfoundland, and subsequently gained degrees from Dalhousie and McGill Universities. His career as a United Church Minister spanned over 40 years at churches in Newfoundland, Quebec, and Ontario. His upbringing in a setting of frequent hardship, large families, and a community where everyone helped each other was to shape his future. His love of the church as a calling to serve others was the mainstay of his life and he cherished his role as minister in each community he served. He was a warm person with a quick sense of humour, and above all, a devoted father whose love and interest in his children was the highlight of his life. In between serving his churches he also managed to indulge a lifelong interest in building things by overseeing the construction of one church, and erecting with his own hands several beautiful cottages in Ontario. His legacy to his children and all who knew him was that a simple abiding faith and an enthusiasm for helping others will yield an abundance of riches. The family wishes to thank family physician Dr. F. COGAN, and Homecare nurse Jonathon for the kind attention and care administered to Ralph, and Ralph's lifelong friend Reverend Lind BARBOUR for his support and encouragement. They also want to acknowledge the wonderful support provided over 8 years to both Ralph and Vera by Homecare worker Judy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or the United Church Missions and Service Fund. A memorial service is planned at Manor Road United Church at 2: 00 p.m. on Saturday April 30, 2005.

Born in Belmont, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Alie Gertrude (COLLARD) TAILOR/TAYLOR. Beloved husband of the late Leonard Leslie (Barney) WISEMAN (2000.) Dear mother of Shirley FIELD of Wallaceburg, Joyce WISEMAN of Wallaceburg, Wayne WISEMAN of Windsor and the late Barry WISEMAN (1994.) Sister of the late Shirley GILLINGS, Wilfred TAILOR/TAYLOR, Stuart TAILOR/TAYLOR, Harold TAILOR/TAYLOR, Clifford TAILOR/TAYLOR and Max TAILOR/TAYLOR. She was a past member of the Chatham Horizons Shuffleboard Club and was the first woman inducted into the Canadian Shuffleboard Hall of Fame. Muriel was an avid sports fan. In his 90th year, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 20th, 2005. The World War 2 Veteran is survived by his loving wife Wilma (née CALDWELL) of 56 years; children Paul and Diane (nee PEGG,) Lynda (née LEWIS) and Chris GILLION, Janice (née LEWIS) and Brian GILLION; grandchildren Paul, Darcie, Stephen, Melissa, Michael, Melynda, Ashley and Shannon; and great-granddaughter Ryann LEWIS. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Saturday, August 27th, 2005 at 3 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Arthur Edgar OSTRANDER, a resident of Maple Manor Nursing Home, Tillsonburg, passed away at the Nursing Home on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at the age of 98 years. Born in Brantford, Ontario, he was a son of the late George and Emmeline (GILLIS) OSTRANDER. Beloved husband of the late Gladys Marie (KETCHABAW) OSTRANDER (1983.) Loving father of James OSTRANDER and wife Beatrice of Dundas and Mary Ellen ENGLISH and husband Stan of Woodstock. He will be sadly missed by his 6 grandchildren as well as 9 great-granchildren. Mr. OSTRANDER's family will receive Friends at Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (842-5221) on Saturday, January 29, 2005 from 1-3 p.m., followed by Funeral Serviced for Arthur in Ostrander's Chapel at 3 p.m. with Pastor Bryan BUTCHER officiating. At London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, on Saturday, April 16th, 2005, Margaret Carson "Margie" (MacKENZIE) SCOPES of London in her 83rd year. She was born in Campbellton, New Brunswick on January 7, 1923 to the late Arthur MacKENZIE and the late Anna (MacBEATH) MacKENZIE. She was predeceased by her husband George and her five sisters Muriel LEBANS, Jean GILLIS, Anne KELLER, Lois PRICE, Helen JARDINE and her 1 brother Robert MacKENZIE. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She attended First Baptist Church, London. She had been a child care supervisor with the Children's Aid Society and a loyal member of Y's Menettes Service Club of the Young Men's-Young Women's Christian Association. Cremation has taken place, with interment of cremated remains in Woodland Cemetery, London. A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, 568 Richmond Street (at Clarence Street), London, on Wednesday April 20th at 1 p.m. with Reverend Sheldon W. DYCK officiating. YOUNG, Muriel " Beth" Evelyn (née TEED)
Relict of Andrew Laurence YOUNG, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at her apartment at Fountains of Mission, in Calgary, Alberta. Born 1919 in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late John F.H. TEED and Mrs. Muriel TEED (WETMORE,) of Saint John. Also predeceased by her two oldest children Margaret (David WRIGHT) and Andrew (Karen ANDREWS,) and one sister Hazel HAZEN. She will be sadly missed by her three sons: Ian (Angela ROMANY) of Ottawa, Ontario, Tom of Parsboro, Nova Scotia, and Kenneth (Shirley PASMORE) of Calgary, Alberta, and daughter Nancy (Randy HENDERSON) of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Grandmother of thirteen and great-grandmother of two. Sister of George, Hugh and Eric TEED, Mary GILLIS and Gloria TRIVETT. Sister-in-law of Elizabeth and Lois TEED and Reverend Don TRIVETT. Beth also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins to mourn her passing. Educated at Edgehill School for Girls in Nova Scotia, she graduated from McGill University in 1940. Beth taught at her alma mater in Nova Scotia for several terms before joining the Royal Canadian Navy at their Naval Intelligence Headquarters in Ottawa. Promoted to officer in the Wrens, she remained in Ottawa until the end of the war. In 1946, she was invited to join the International Air Transport Association's head Office in Montreal, where she met her future husband, Laurence YOUNG. Married in November 1947, Beth and Laurence had a marriage full of exciting travels, momentous events and interesting people. The traditions that were so much a part of Beth's life are a legacy carried on in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Visitations in Calgary will be on Wednesday, October 12, from 3 to 6 p.m., at McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home, Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Will later rest at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, New Brunswick with visitation on Friday, October 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Trinity Anglican Church, Charlotte Street, Saint John, New Brunswick, on Saturday, October 15, at 11am. MacNEIL, James Angus " Jimmy"
(Long time member of Ironworkers Local 721, Member of Knights of Columbus) Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on October 26th, 2005 at Lakeridge Health-Whitby. Born in Dunvegan on June 25th, 1931. He was the son of the late John Alexander and Mary Sarah (GILLIS) MacNEIL. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Florence. He will be sadly missed by his children Ian (Cheryl) MacNEIL of Aurora, Catherine (Nick) DIDOMENICO of Toronto and Wendy MacNEIL (Michael) of Whitby. He will always be in the loving memories of his five grandchildren; Nicholas, Jacob, Morgan, Jordan and Victoria. He will be sadly missed by sisters Allena PHILLIPS of Margaree, Christine (Frank) SKERRY of Halifax, Anna (Tom) YOUNG of Halifax and sisters-in-law Marion and Theresa. Jimmy is predeceased by his brothers Jim Angus, John Archie, Alex Dan, Lewis, and sisters Mary Sarah, Elizabeth Anne and Maggie Flora (in infancy). Jimmy will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and Friends. He was a man who worked hard all his life, a great friend to many and a devoted family man.
