She was born on March 28, 1921 in Fullarton Township to Elmer and Olive (DOW) SCOTT. She married Nelson Garnet BRYDGES on November 29, 1941. Survived by loving husband of almost 64 years Nelson BRYDGES, Sarnia and also by her loving daughters who will miss her very much Geraldine and her husband Donald STEWARD/STEWART/STUART, Mooretown and their family Carolyn and Joe STONEHOUSE, their children Tyler and Nathan MATER, Beau, Brett and Ben STONEHOUSE, Corunna and Brian and Pat STEWARD/STEWART/STUART and their children Matthew, Michael and Kate, Mooretown, and Bonnie and her husband Ross GENNOE, Strathroy and their sons (Audrey's special grand_sons) Rob GENNOE, Point Edward and Dan GENNOE, Strathroy. Recognized by his peers as being a pillar of the Canadian broadcasting industry, Bob's career spanned over forty years. Before retiring to Nova Scotia in 1993, Bob was Senior Vice-President and General Manager of the Weather Network/ MeteoMedia. Bob is survived by his wife Lise (POITRAS,) daughter Joanne (Gordon) MUIR, son Robert Jr. (Sherri JONES), Alexander, William, Mahal and Destiny, brother John (Ginette LEVASSEUR,) brother-in-law Guy POITRAS (Marie-Claude THIBODEAU,) sister-in-law Huguette POITRAS (Real GENOIS,) as well as many nephews and nieces. Rose is survived by her son Valentino RUFFO of Milton, Ontario. and her daughters-in-law Patricia RUFFO and Beverly MacLAREN, her granddaughter Joanna RUFFO (Etobicoke,) her stepdaughter Maureen YOUNG (David) of Etobicoke, her stepsons John O'LEARY of Toronto, and Councilman Michael O'LEARY (Mary) of Acton, Ontario.; her siblings Evelyn BARAN (Michael) of Unionville, Val MANCUSO (Pat) of North York and Sam MANCUSO of Hanover, Ontario, sisters-in-law Vera and Evelyn. Sam was a long time Canadian Sales Manager for McGraw Hill Inc. Born in Northern Ireland, he resided in Toronto as well as Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Spain. He often vacationed in Mexico to fish and escape the snow. According to his wishes he was cremated in Mexico. Beloved father of Hanne-Petra and Jim CHAMBERS, Bright's Grove, Rosie DEMARS, Chatham, Bernie and Lori ZILLIGES, Sarnia. Very sadly missed by grandchildren Elise CHAMBERS, Lorelei ROSS and friend Mike, Joey and Kim DEMARS, Jimmy and Tracy DEMARS, Bernadette and Carl LATFORD, Bernie and Tanya ZILLIGES, Brett ZILLIGES and friend Stephanie, Ashleah GENOVY, and Matthew GENOVY. Erich was born in Germany to August and Marie (MAYER) ZILLIGES. He immigrated to Canada with his family in the early 50's, and worked as a mason in Sarnia most of his life. Erich and Friedhilde retired to the home they built at Colpoy's Bay. Their last years were spent near family in the Sarnia area. We continue to treasure the wonderful memories we all share. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Cremation to follow. VAISEY- GENSER, Florence Marion (née BERRYHILL)
Marion passed away at the Riverview Health Centre on October 22, 2005 after a struggle with lung cancer. She was predeceased by her husbands Edgar VAISEY in 1961 and Lawrence GENSER in 1997 and her son Jacques VAISEY in 2003. She is survived by: her sister Dorinne THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON and her family; daughter Jill VAISEY and her husband Peter DICKOF and their children Carla and Raymond DICKOF daughter-in-law Tasha NATHANSON and her children Saskia, Ariana, and Bronwyn VAISEY; step-daughter Irene CORNE, her husband Bob and their children Lesley and Jeff WOLMAN, Janet and Michael KATZ, Maureen and Avi SLAMA, and Eric and Aimee CORNE, and their children (Marion's great-grandchildren) Yale and Serena WOLMAN, Ariel, Liav and Neeve SLAMA, and Ira CORNE; and by her step-son Steven GENSER. Marion was born to Florence and Dolph BERRYHILL in Winnipeg on April 3, 1929. She graduated with a B.Sc. from the University of Manitoba in Home Economics in 1949 and an M.Sc. in Nutrition from McGill University in 1951. She went on to teach in Halifax, Corvallis and Guelph before joining the University of Manitoba's Home Economics Faculty (now Human Ecology) in 1965 where she taught and did research using sensory methods to evaluate foods such as canola oil. She joined the administration of the University in 1980 as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and served as the Associate Vice President, Research from 1983-91. She published many papers and received a number of awards throughout her career. After her retirement in 1993, she was honoured with Senior Scholar and Professor Emeritus status. Elegant and erudite, sharp witted and well spoken, successful professionally and charming personally, Marion was an inspiration. She worked gladly to further causes as diverse as women in the sciences and Canadian food products. She served on national science committees and even appeared on Korean television to promote flax seeds for her beloved prairie provinces. She loved her family, playing cards, and ending the day with a nice bowl of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce or - joy! - raspberries from the garden. We will all miss her terribly. A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg at 1: 00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29th at Saint John's College Chapel, 92 Dysart Rd. A reception is to follow in the Cross Common Room. Parking is available across the street. In lieu of flowers, and in recognition of the tremendous help provided to Marion by the W.R.H.A. Palliative Care Program, the family suggests that donations be made to the 'W.R.H.A. Palliative Care Fund' at A8024-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2H 2A6.

Loving grandmother of Vickie KUIPERS and husband Jamie of R.R.#2, Aylmer, Barbi MORRIS and husband John of Aylmer, Dori and Ralf of Germany. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Born in Osseningken, Germany on July 1, 1921 daughter of the late Rudolph and Erna GENSKI. Erica came to Canada in 1957 and worked at Durkee's Department Store in Aylmer for a number of years. His hobbies were cooking and fishing, so the King has gone on his last long fishing trip. He leaves behind a loving wife, Lorraine and sons Tim (Bonnie GENT) and Brett, sisters-in-law Beryl MILLAR of Calgary, Lois COLBECK and brother-in-law Les COLBECK of Burlington, brother-in-law Bob MILLAR (Anne▼) and several nieces and nephews, and also a long list of relatives and Friends who delighted in his happy nature and unfailing good humour. With deepest love and sadness, the family of Ruth GENT (BLOCK) announces her passing on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in her 85th year. After surviving an unexpected heart attack on April 9th, she went peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning. She was the beloved wife of the late Newt GENT for over 64 years. Ruth was the loving mother to Marilyn ARNOLD and Bonnie GENT, mother-in-law to Tim KING and the late Don ARNOLD. Devoted grandmother to Cindy, Tina, Wendy, Tammy, Don and Mike and their spouses. Cherished "G.G.M." to 12 great-grandchildren. Ruth was the last of 13 siblings to pass in the Block family. She will be deeply missed by the remaining family on both the Gent and Block sides and her many nieces and nephews. Ruth will also be in the thoughts of many, many Friends she and Newt made over the years. A remembrance gathering will be held on Sunday, April 24th between 2 and 4 p.m. at Skinner and Middlebrook Ltd., 128 Lakeshore Rd. E. Who passed away April 29th, 2005 at York Central Hospital. The first announcement regarding the passing of Mr. DE PASQUALE, is being re-issued in order to correct a grave error. Due to one person's lapse of thought, a great injustice did occur. I regret that due to time constraints, and both mental and physical exhaustion on my behalf, the omissions of Mr. DEPASQUALE's beloved deceased wife Mrs. Maria "Mimzie" DE PASQUALE (née GENTILE), and the persons of the Gentile, Famiglietti and Regina families, whom shall greatly miss 'Uncle Nick'. I wish to acknowledge to all parties concerned, the error made in the first issue of the death announcement was done so with absolutely no malice intended. Peacefully, with his family at his side on Sunday, January 30, 2005 at London Health Sciences Centre (Westminster Campus), Stuart Frederick JONES of R.R.#1 Port Stanley, after a courageous battle with melanoma, in his fiftieth year. Born December 11, 1955, in Saint Thomas, Stuart was the beloved son of M. Rose JONES and the late C. McLean "Mac" JONES (1981.) Stuart was a proud lifelong resident of the Boxall community, and a candidate for the honour of being crowned the next "Old Grouch." A graduate of Parkside Collegiate Institute, Stuart received his honours B.Sc. in Crop Science from the University of Guelph in 1978, and returned home to farm with his father and brother. An active member of his community, Stuart was a loyal friend and neighbour, a proud Aggie, and a devoted father that seldom missed a game.
Adevoted husband to Sandra Crinklaw JONES and much adored father to Emily and Grace JONES of Boxall. Stuart is also survived by his brother Stephen JONES and his wife Marion of Dutton, sister Jennifer JONES and her husband David GENTLEMAN of Vancouver. Treasured son-in-law to Murial CRINKLAW of Belmont, and brother-in-law to Elizabeth and Larry ARMSTRONG of Glanworth, and Jim and Bernadette CRINKLAW of Edmonton. Stuart was also a special uncle to Clint and Wade ARMSTRONG, Laura and Jessica JONES, John and Peter CRINKLAW and Alice and Elaine GENTLEMAN. Stuart will be missed by his uncles, aunts, cousins and Friends, and by the many children whose hearts were touched by his sense of humour, kindness, and his ability to make them feel important. Devoted mother of Mary Kay Buchanan BUTLER (Jack), Janet (Alan) FISHER, Bruce (Roxanne) CARRUTHERS, and Anne (Brad) FORD. Dearly loved and cherished by her grandchildren Kathy (Don) KAUFMAN, Karen (Dean) SCHRAM, Christa (Joe) KARR, Jeff FISHER, Andy and Kaylin CARRUTHERS, Nick and Chris FORD. Her four great-grand_sons, Kennedy, Karter, and Jackson KAUFMAN, and Cameron SCHRAM will also miss her. Also missed by Maurices children Joan (Terry) GENTLEMAN, Michael (predeceased by his wife Lois), John, Stephen and Tim, and grandchildren Darcy, Tessa, Megan, and Brendan. Predeceased by her parents Russell and Katherine ROEMMELE (1964,) her brothers Max (1978), Bruce (2001), and her sister Audrey (2003), Melissa FISHER (1975,) her son-in-law Duncan BUCHANAN, and her grandchildren Brenda and J.D. BUCHANAN (1976.) Survived by her brothers-in-law Ernie and Robert CARRUTHERS and sisters-in-law Clara CARRUTHERS and Fran Long CARRUTHERS. In earlier years, Eileen was a very active member of the Melbourne United Church and a teacher at Glencoe District High School. She never lost her sense of humour or the twinkle in her eye during her illness. Eileen will be missed but never forgotten by all who knew her. The family received Friends and relatives at the Elliott-Madill Komoka Chapel, 22568 Komoka Road, on Thursday, June 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life was held at the Melbourne United Church, 592 John Street, Melbourne, on Friday, June 24 commencing at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Melbourne United Church.

Formerly of Saint Thomas and Port Stanley, passed away at Chester Village Nursing Home, Toronto on Friday, November 4, 2005. Wife of the late Gilbert "Gib" JOHNSON (1989.) Mother of Beth JOHNSON and her husband William GENTLES of Toronto, and Bob JOHNSON and his wife Georgena GILBERT of Ottawa. Grandmother of Cassie JOHNSTON and her partner Brent KIRWAN of Ottawa, and Christopher JOHNSTON and his wife Megan COLLINS of Vancouver, British Columbia. Mrs. JOHNSON was the last surviving member of her own immediate family, having been predeceased by sisters, Margaret and Grace Coffey and brothers, Robert E. COFFEY Jr. and Thomas L. COFFEY. Born in Saint Thomas, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. COFFEY Sr. and the late Margaret (LOWERY/LOWREY/LOWRIE/LOWRY) COFFEY. Mrs. JOHNSON was a member of Holy Angels' Roman Catholic Church, Saint Thomas and the Catholic Women's League and a former member of the Saint Thomas Curling Club and Tonti Chapter, Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels' Roman Catholic Church, Saint Thomas on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17th, 2005 at the age of 68. Loving mother of Christine Anne, Andrew (Lesley) and David. Grandmother of Jonathan and Nicole. GENTLES, Jack (March 21, 1912-December 19, 2005)
Quite the character, Jack passed away after a brief illness at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre. Predeceased by his wife Gladys and daughter Hope. Beloved father of John (Julie) of Edmonton, and David (Edward) of Toronto. He will be missed by brother Roy (Margaret) of Cleveland, granddaughter Wendy (Karl) and great-grand_son Jared as well as grand_son Ted, and great-granddaughter Maya; plus his numerous nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Evelyn PAYNE. Jack loved his independence, he owned and drove taxi Number 59 for Peel Cab in Mississauga until he retired at age 76. He loved to garden and golf and tell rude stories. He had a great sense of humour, a sharp mind and the ability to put pen to paper. His family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Mount Sinai Hospital, Bridgepoint Health Centre and the George Hees Veterans wing at Sunnybrook and Women's College where he spent his last days. At Jack's request there will be no funeral. A Celebration in his Memory is planned for March 2006 at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel, 467 Sherbourne Street, Toronto. Details to follow.

Mr. Robert " Bob" CHAPMAN, passed away peacefully at L.H.S.C. University Hospital, London on August 21, 2005 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth "Liz" CHAPMAN. Loving father of Nancy CHAPMAN- HANSEN (Bob HANSEN) and Jon (Joy) CHAPMAN. Step-father of Catherine GENTRON (Glenn KITAMURA) and Steve (Deb) GENDRON.
