Aric, beloved husband of Audrey FLEAR, loving father of Sandra Massey, Dianne and her husband Bill Zima, Douglas FLEAR and his wife Cathy, and Denise DILABBIO, he will be forever cherished in the hearts of his 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Embraced in the "Community Cloak" of her family and Friends, Shelley Thomson/Buonastella passed away, Wednesday August 17, 2005 at the Toronto General Hospital. Her fierce battle with non-smokers lung cancer ended, as it began, with Shelley surrounded and protected by her family, her Friends and the broad community she worked with and loved. A teacher and community activist, she was treasured by her husband, Orlando, and her two children, son, Sandro, Danya, her daughter and her dad, Murray (predeceased). She leaves a vast network of loving survivors beginning with her mother, Jessie THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, father and mother-in-law Fortunato and Filomena BUONASTELLA and her five sisters, brothers-in-law and their families: Nancy Donald (Gilbert LOFSTROM;) Linda FLEAR (Don); Marion SHERRY (Jim); Virginia THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON (Mike PHILLIPS) Pamela Thomson BARBADORO; and, Maurizio BUONASTELLA (Sonia.) He was a member of London Road West United Church, Huron Masonic Lodge #392 and Lambton Shrine Club. Dave lived and farmed all his life on the family farm in Sarnia Township where he was born. He retired to Wyoming (1994) where he enjoyed his last years. Beloved husband of Helen (BLUNT) and the late Agnes (FLECK) (1987.) Dear father of Ellen COCKSHUTT (Larry) and Elaine WALKER (Luke) and the late Barbara WHITFIELD (1991) (James.) Also lovingly remembered by Helen's children Shari and Bob EDGAR and Lori and Mark HALL. Born in Edinborough, Scotland she was a daughter of the late Edward and Jean (SCOTT) FLEETING. Beloved wife of Vern GREENHEAD. Loving mother of Sandra SIMMONS and husband Robert "Bud," Darcy STEEN and husband Glen both of Tillsonburg, Vickie GREENHEAD of London, and Robert GREENHEAD and wife Marlene also of Tillsonburg. On April 30th, 2005, at age 87, our dearest Mom passed away peacefully. Her soul went to heaven to meet her beloved husband Alvin and son Godfrey. She will be terribly missed by all of her children, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law: Joan and the late Raymond CORBIN, Wendy and Ross BURTON, Marcelle and Kurt FLEIG, Valerie and Werner KRAJEWSKI, Andrea and Patrick PEREIRA, Ian and Celine TEIXEIRA, Ann Marie and Bruce QUINCEY, Christopher and Donna TEIXEIRA, and Margaret ROSE and Robert SUTHERLAND. Twenty-two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren say "Thank you Granny, you were always truly glad to see us and spoil us". She also leaves behind her beloved sisters: Cora, Estelle, Doreen and Sheila; and a great many nieces and nephews. We know in our hearts that she is at peace and happy, but it is with great sadness that we say farewell for now. Mabel (McLARTY) HILLEGAS, beloved wife and friend of Arthur HILLEGAS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 10th, in Chesterfield, Michigan in her 96th year. Mabel was the last granddaughter of Archibald and Catherine McLARTY, one of the original pioneer families of North Yarmouth, Ontario. She is survived by her son Richard (Nancy), of Marine City, Michigan. Mabel was the dearly loved Grandma of Rick (Michelle) HILLEGAS, Scott (Chris) HILLEGAS, and Kristin (Joe) FLEIGER, and their families, all of Michigan. Loved by nieces, nephews and cousins in Ontario. She was predeceased by her brother Duncan A. McLARTY (1989) and her daughter-in-law Marlyn HILLEGAS (2002.) Cremation. Peacefully at his home, with his family by his side, Donald Edward VAIL, of Owen Sound, went to be with His Lord, on Friday morning, August 12th, 2005, in his 62nd year. Cherished husband and best friend of Jane VAIL (née BROWN.) Loving father of Don Jr. and his fiancée, Heidi WILSON, of Owen Sound, Jim, Mike and his girlfriend, Tracey HEATHERS, and Paul, all of Brampton. Don will be deeply missed by his two brothers, Bob and his wife, Fran, of Calgary, Alberta, Norm and his wife, Rosemary, of Stratford; his two sisters, Donna FLEISCHAUER and her husband, John, of Mount Brydges and Jannette MASSÉ and her husband, Joe, of London; his sister-in-law, Nancy FORGET and her husband, Leo, of New Liskeard. Don will be forever remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Lorraine VAIL. One of the joys of Don's life was serving this community of so many wonderful people as their Chiropractor. He lovingly served His Lord in church building projects and many other ministries throughout the years. Don thoroughly appreciated the beauty of this area, especially Georgian Bay and the many hours he spent fishing and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow fishermen. Friends and family will always remember him for his emphasis on the two most important things in life- our relationship with God and our relationships with each other.
