KRITZWISER, Kay -- I Remember
By Frances GAGE, Wednesday, December 21, 2005, Page S7
Sculptor Frances GAGE also writes about Kay KRITZWISER.
What a wonderful memory I have of Kay. She covered the construction and shipping of my statue Discovery of the Hands for what is now Fanshawe College in London, Ontario To make it I had to rent a now-razed coach house at Davenport and Dupont in Toronto. My biggest surprise came when it was safely loaded on to Robert FLAHERTY's flat bed, on it's way to London, and I saw tears in her eyes. She was a great mix of tough and sweet.

In loving memory of my father Robert (Bob), who passed away October 15, 2004. Always a smile instead of a frown, Always a hand when one was down, What wonderful memories you left behind, So treasure him Lord in his place of rest, For on this earth he was one of the best. Put your arms around him Lord, Tell him we care, For all that he suffered, And all that seemed unfair. Love your loving daughter Lynn and son-in-law Pete.

In loving memory of my husband Robert (Bob), who passed away October 15th, 2004. It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn't go alone, For part of me went with you, The day God called you home. I think of you in silence, And often speak your name, Now all I have is memories, And your pictures in a frame. These memories are my keepsake, With which I'll never part, God has you in his keeping, And I have you in my heart. Lovingly remembered always, your wife Ina.

LAWSON, Kenneth E. (July 20, 1933-November 24, 2005)
It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the sudden passing of Kenneth LAWSON on Thursday, November 24, 2005. Daughters Camille with love Alan, Laura with husband David, Lorraine with husband Michael along with grandchildren Sarah, Matt, Lisa, Philip, Carly and Will, precious Friends Maria, John, James and Nereida FLANNERY, family members Lynn LAWSON and Mark QUIGLEY, dear friend John LUNDAGER and cousin Annemarie GOLDSCHMIDT and friend and minister Reverend Hugh REID will miss Ken's presence immensely.
Ken led by example. He was a natural athlete and took great pride in his athletic achievements. He was a passionate learner graduating from both the University of Toronto and Harvard Business School. He was a visionary in the Canadian travel industry and travelled to over 125 countries in the course of his long career.
Ken's deep spirituality and sense of human worth were demonstrated by his legacy of caring for those less privileged. Ken was a valued contributor to his church, Kingsway Lambton United, and in particular the Outreach Committee.
He will be profoundly missed because he touched so many hearts with his compassion, zest for life and winning spirit. You never wondered what Ken was thinking; he taught us that you "play it where it lies". He lived his life true to his Albertan and Danish roots. All who knew him celebrate his life. He is safely home.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, at Windermere, just east of the Jane Subway. A Celebration of Ken's life will be held at the Kingsway Lambton United Church, 85 The Kingsway (at Prince Edward), on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 2 p.m. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Outreach Committee, c/o Kingsway Lambton United Church.
