MYLES, Brock (March 24, 1955-August 27, 2005)
The family of Brock MYLES sadly announces his passing on August 27, 2005. Brock demonstrated amazing determination and optimism during his 11 month battle with brain tumor. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Alex MYLES of St. Bruno. Brock is dearly loved and missed by his wife Barbara; sons Peter (15) and Andrew (13;) brother Grant; cousin Judy; uncles Jack FINLEY and Edwin NICHOLSON and a large circle of family and Friends. Brock was born in Montreal and grew up in St. Bruno. He completed his B.Comm. at McGill and his law degree at Queen's University. He practiced law in Ancaster, Toronto and Saint John's. Brock was a dedicated husband, kind and loving dad, generous friend and avid sailor who valued quiet time at home and family trips, particularly to Prince Edward Island. He will be fondly remembered for his dry sense of humor, and his appreciation for cars, coffee and dark chocolate. Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday. A Memorial Service will be held at Gower Street United Church at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2005. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. Flowers are gratefully accepted. Margaret Guest (DUGGINS) CORFIELD died in Parkwood Hospital on Saturday, August 20, 2005, in her 84th year. She is survived by her husband, William, two sons, Geoffrey and Paul, and a granddaughter, Megan Marie. A daughter, Leslie Margaret died in 1992. Two sisters, Irene EAMAN and Marian FINN, predeceased her. Margaret was a Past President of the Women's Canadian Club, founding President of the United Church Women at Byron United Church, and active in several charities. Cremation and inurnment at Woodland Cemetery has been completed. Reverend Charles SCOTT, a longtime friend, will conduct a memorial service in Byron United Church, Boler Road and Commissioners, at 2: 30 Friday, August 26, with visitation at 2 p.m. and Friendship gathering afterwards. Margaret was born in St. Catherines on May 25, 1922, daughter of Walter Arthur and Ethel DUGGINS. She graduated from St. Catharines Collegiate, where she met Bill CORFIELD and they were married on November 14, 1942. The family appreciates the professional kindness of all members of the medical and health services. Beloved wife, best friend and lifelong dancing partner of the late Charlie, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the Continuing Care Centre, York Central Hospital in her 85th year. Marguerite is predeceased by her brothers, Jim and Bert. Marguerite's kind, gentle and caring nature will be fondly remembered by her loving daughters and their husbands, Gail and Bob BLACKBURN, Linda and Keith HOTRUM, by her grandchildren, Jennifer and Graeme FINNELL, Jeff BLACKBURN, Matt and Jesse HOTRUM, by her great-grand_sons, Ryan and Ben-Charlie FINNELL, by her sisters-in-law, Edna, Billie, Jean and Mary, and by her nieces, nephews, other family members and Friends. Judy was married for 50 years to the late Paul GODDARD, with whom she enjoyed camping, canoeing, skiing, sailing, and cycling. They raised seven children: Suzanne COOK (David,▼) John,▼ Sylvia CASHMORE (Jim), Eric (Anne FRANCIS), Ted (Tracy FADDEN), Mary REEVE, and Marjorie WINGROVE (Felix▼ BROWN.) She worked as a medical secretary for Ralph HULL for 17 years. Judy was also blessed with eleven grandchildren: Joey Lynne, Steve, Marlie, Jay, Tamara, Erin, Julie, Jessica, Matthew, Diane, and Reilly. Judy▼ enjoyed the companionship of Don SHEPPARD in her final years, travelling and socializing with a wide circle of Friends. She said a special goodbye to 85 Friends and family members by hosting lunch at a Stoney Lake resort last November, six months after her cancer diagnosis. Dozens of loved ones also came together to care for her at home for most of her final two months. Judy was a loyal friend with a great gift for listening empathetically. She always amazed us with her energy and gentle strength. Friends will be received at the Comstock Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough from 2-4 pm and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 31. We are sad to announce the passing of Mary Margare, born June 9, 1923 in Berkeley, California. She died peacefully in the early morning of December 7, 2005. She is predeceased by husband William Maurice (Maury) YOUNG. She is survived by her sons Rory, Rick, Charles of Vancouver and Julian of Victoria, British Columbia as well as daughters-in-law Jane, Sandy, Dale and Gail and grandchildren Catherine, Charles, Liam, Layne, Lisa, Callum and Theodore.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. in the First Nations Longhouse at University of British Columbia. In lieu of flowers please donate with love to the charity of your choice.

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Ruby on June 2, 2005, in Oakville. Born in Parry Sound District, November 19, 1924, but lived almost her entire life in the Toronto area. Loved wife of the late Norman Lief FINSANT (1989.) She will forever be in the hearts of her daughter Gail, son-in-law Ron, grandchildren, Tricia, Kristin, and her husband Mark. Predeceased by brothers Victor, Dennis and sister Grace. Survived by sister Dorothy, brother Frank, loving sister Irene, and many nieces and nephews. Her devoted friend Danny will also miss her. A Memorial Service will be held at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr Street), Oakville at 3 p.m. Monday, June 6th. A donation to the Lung Association or The Osteoporosis Society of Canada would be appreciated.
