Dear sister of Hazel PAGE of London. Predeceased by 3 sisters Norma EDEN, Letta HENRY and Rena CAMPBELL and a brother Ray FILMORE. Loved▲ grandmother of Melanie, Kimberley, Kenneth, Peter, Ellie and Michael and by 6 great grandchildren Aidan, Willa, Vidal, Chase, Ben and Hailey. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Margaret was born in Dunwich Township on May 31, 1918, the daughter of the late Elthem and Annie (HILLMAN) FILMORE. She▲ has lived in the Dutton and Saint Thomas area all her life and was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Marion died peacefully, on Saturday morning, October 22, 2005, at the North York General Hospital just before her 83rd birthday. She was predeceased by her loving husband Keith, her granddaughter Katherine, and her brothers Alex and Ian FILSHIE. She is survived by her children, Beth, Donald and his wife Claire, and Sandra and her husband Jean, and by her three wonderful grandchildren Elizabeth, Daniel and Emilie CLOUTIER/CLOUTHIER. She will be fondly remembered for her curiosity, her interest in crafts, especially weaving, and her enjoyment of a good game of cards, scrabble or dominoes. We thank the staff at West Shore Village in Port Perry and the staff at Cummer Lodge in Toronto for caring for our Mom in her last years. Alvin was a wonderful grandpa to his five grandchildren, Tori-Lynn and Brock McAFEE and Nathan, Jenae and Aliya DRISNER. Dearly beloved son of Stan McAFEE, of Owen Sound and the late Muriel McAFEE. Lionel died peacefully on Saturday February 5, 2005 at his home in Copper Cliff, Ontario in the company of Aileen (FILTEAU,) his beloved wife of 60 years and his eldest son John.
Lionel was the eldest child of the late Adelard Pierre ROY and Marie Louise ROY (METIVIER.) He was predeceased by his brothers Art and Bob and is survived by his brother Tom and sister Velma (FALLON.)
Lionel leaves his loving children John and his partner Pikun Peter and his fiancé Catherine J. EPLETT; Jennifer (SMITH) and her husband Tom; and Diane; and his grandchildren Thomas and Emily SMITH and Katherine MARK.
Lionel served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 2. Lionel and Aileen were married in 1945. He attained his degree in Business Administration from U.C.L.A Following his retirement from Inco in 1974, Lionel spent many years working as a volunteer with Canadian Executive Services Overseas consulting in the field of computer based information for business and government. Lionel's volunteer work took him and Aileen to Malaysia, Borneo, Ecuador, Colombia, Zimbabwe and China.
In accordance with Lionel's wishes, no service will be held and there will be a private interment.
