In loving memory of Julius
FELKAI, 61 years, of Toronto, Goulais
River, Heron Bay, Copper Cliff, Lively, Tillsonburg, and Budapest,
who passed away Monday, January 24th, 2005 at 11: 55 pm. He was
a wonderful man -- generous beyond measure, with a compassionate
heart. He reached out to strangers and readily helped many that
crossed his path. He valued and loved children and was patient.
His unique, witty, offbeat sense of humour has given his family
memories that will be remembered for generations. He was born
in 1943 Budapest, Hungary and immigrated to Tillsonburg, Ontario
at the age of 13 years old. He attended Ryerson College and obtained
a Civil Engineering degree. His work (construction sub-contracting
business) took him throughout Northern Ontario including North
Bay, Sudbury, Elliot Lake, Timmins, Sault Ste. Marie, Marathon,
Hemlo, Manitouwadge, and Thunder Bay. His surviving family, who
will cherish his memory, miss him deeply. He was a loving father
to Sally -- expectant mother (partner Troy

Thomas (partner Julia
WOOD,)
Susan (fiancee Brant

grand-daughter Ruby. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, by his
mother, Magda
STEINER, and by his siblings Frank and Maggie.
He has been welcomed into God's house by the saving grace of
Jesus and is at peace after many years of discomfort from diabetes,
high blood pressure and the long-term effects of a vehicle accident.
He was admitted to hospital after falling on ice on January 14,
2005 and ten days later suffered cardiac arrest from septic shock.
The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 29th at 10: 30

corner of Mount Pleasant and St. Clair Avenue), and he will be

I Remember -- Wilfred "Bill"
BIGELOW
By Kittie-Marie
FELLS,
Friday,
April 1, 2005, Page S7
Kittie-Marie
FELLS of Toronto writes about heart surgeon Wilfred
(Bill) BIGELOW, whose obituary appeared on Wednesday.
I often met Dr. Bill, who was a neighbour and friend, when we
were walking our dogs in the park and
in Rosedale ravine in Toronto.
He was crazy about his black lab. He was informed and sensitive
about all things natural and it was a privilege to birdwatch
with him.
Sometimes, after trekking back up the hill, he would check out
my pulse. He told me, as we watched joggers going by, that he
felt walking and then gradually running uphill was a much more
effective way to condition the body than the jolting movements
of jogging. My white dog and I follow his advice.
