He is survived by his beloved wife Sheryl, son Nigel (Kim DUFFY) and daughter Nicola (Brad BULL;) grandchildren Courtney, Riley and Bryson, and nephew Mathew. Born in Cardiff, Wales, a graduate of the University of Wales at Cardiff and the University of Toronto, he spent three years with the Royal Welch Fusiliers and taught French in England and Toronto, as well as at Appleby College, St. Columba College and St. Andrew's College. He will be remembered for his love of languages, rugby, travel and music. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Died peacefully in the embrace of her family at Tall Pines Long-term Care Centre after a lengthy illness fought with courage. Deeply cherished wife and life partner of Earl DUFFY. Loving▼ and greatly loved mother of Colleen JOHNSTON (Brian), Kevin (Sherry), Paul (Wendy), Karen NEMEZ (Greg), Shawn (Josie) and Neil (Leslie). Devoted grandmother of Melissa, Kylah, Emily, Caitlin, Katherine, Nicole DUFFY, Nicole NEMEZ, Conor, Beth, Madeline, Nelson, Christina, Michael and Carson. Chris was the 9th of 10 children born to Joe and Lily HEENAN of Tottenham, Ontario. She is now re-united in heaven with her parents and her sisters Hilda, Marguerite, Theresa, brother Patrick and two brothers who died in childhood. She▼ will be greatly missed by her sister Cecilia (Jean SOARE) and brothers John and Don (Bernice) and many nieces and nephews. Chris had her early education in Tottenham and Colgan and at the age of 15 proceeded to St. Joseph's Convent School in Toronto. In 1952, Chris obtained her R.N. designation at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. While she was at school in Toronto she met and captured the heart of Earl DUFFY from Nelson, British Columbia. It was the beginning of a great love story. Chris and Earl married in 1954 and spent the next 50 years building a wonderful and rich life together. Chris was a remarkable woman and through the years displayed her immense versatility and talent. She was a skilled antique collector with a keen eye for beauty. She made her mark as an entrepreneur - in 1983 Chris and Earl formed Totson Corporation and developed, patented and marketed a new and better milk container to the Canadian market. Her other passions included music and bridge. However, her greatest passion and joy in life was always her family. She was a partner to Earl in his business career - always there as a sounding board, advisor and confidante. Her devotion and loyalty as a mother and grandmother were unparalleled - her family was always her greatest source of pride. While she lived in the Toronto area for most of her life, she never forgot her small town roots - she was always an authentic and warm person with a genuine interest in other people. She possessed great grace, poise and beauty - grit and determination. She profoundly touched the lives of those who knew her and will be missed more than words can say. She leaves a phenomenal legacy for all of us. Our family takes comfort in having a guardian angel looking out for us. In Fredericton, on Tuesday, July 19, 2005. Daughter of the late William and Agnes (DUFFY) SIMCOCK. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Col. William SIMCOCK and his wife Mary (CRAKER) SIMCOCK., brother-in- law Joseph BOWLEN and niece Sabina McGRATH.
She is survived by two sisters Mary (Joseph) BOWLEN of Fredericton, Agnes PODOLSKY and her husband Terry of Oakville, as well as nieces and nephews: Cathy BOWLEN, Kelly BOWLEN, Cathy BEACH, Eva TAILOR/TAYLOR, Bill PODOLSKY, Michael PODOLSKY, Tara PENCAK, Mark PODOLSKY, their families, and relatives in British Columbia, England, Italy, New Zealand and Australia.
Born in Fredericton she was an honours graduate in Economics and Politics from the University of New Brunswick.
Upon graduation she took up a position with the federal civil service in Ottawa and spent several years in economic analysis and research within agencies of the Department of Finance. In 1948 she was awarded a Beaverbrook Overseas scholarship and spent two years at the London School of Economics from which she received the degree of M.Sc. (Econ.) having specialized in international trade. This was followed by a short period of lecturing in Economics at the University of New Brunswick and Carleton University, Ottawa. She rejoined the Department of Finance and was appointed Secretary to the Federal Sales Tax Committee. With the completion of this work she transferred to the Treasury Board and over a period of years was the Board's program officer for a number of different federal departments and agencies. With the creation by the federal government of a regional development agency, she joined the Atlantic Development Board at its inception as senior economist, subsequently becoming Director of the Program Division. When the Board was followed in 1969 by the Atlantic Development Council she became secretary to the Council and served in that capacity for five years.
Subsequently she took an assignment with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, retiring as Director of the West European Division of the International Directorate. Following retirement Kay lived for a time in Oakville, studying, traveling and doing volunteer work. She returned to Fredericton some years ago.
The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Friday, July 22nd, 2005 at 12: 00 noon.

Ross was predeceased by his "bonnie" wife Jean STENSON (née WILLARD,) his partner, Catherine DUBOIS, and two of his beloved children, Willard Ross STENSON and Lynda CUSHING. He is survived by his dear sister, Verna STENSON of Montreal, and loving daughters Gail CARSON and Gloria BISHOP. Ross was the fond "Patron" of nine grandchildren: Allison BISHOP and Leith BISHOP (Glen WATSON); Dorothy CARSON (Rob CRABTREE), Melissa CARSON and Brennan CARSON (Sue); Stephan STENSON; and Ross CUSHING (Jen), Blake CUSHING (Holly), and Nicholas CUSHING. His nine great-grandchildren Shea and Trevor BISHOP- DUFFY, Hayley BISHOP, John, Megan and Blake CARSON, Duncan, Justin and Miranda CRABTREE gave him particular pleasure in his final years. A memorial service will be held in his beloved Montreal on October 6, when he will be remembered for his great integrity, fine piano-playing and bad puns.

She was the best wife, mother, and grandmother. Susan, born in Cape Breton, was the eldest of eight. DUFFY, M. Christene▲ (née HEENAN) (December 12, 1930-April 8, Died peacefully in the embrace of her family at Tall Pines Long-Term Care Centre after a lengthy illness fought with courage. Deeply cherished wife and life partner of Earl DUFFY. Loving▲▼ and greatly loved mother of Colleen JOHNSTON (Brian), Kevin (Sherry), Paul (Wendy), Karen NEMEZ (Greg), Shawn (Josie) and Neil (Leslie). Devoted grandmother of Melissa, Kylah, Emily, Caitlin, Katherine, Nicole DUFFY, Nicole NEMEZ, Conor, Beth, Madeline, Nelson, Christina, Michael and Carson. Chris was the 9th of 10 children born to Joe and Lily HEENAN of Tottenham, Ontario. She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents and her sisters Hilda, Marguerite, Theresa, brother Patrick and two brothers who died in childhood. She▲ will be greatly missed by her sister Cecilia (Jean SOARE) and brothers John and Don (Bernice) and many nieces and nephews. Chris had her early education in Tottenham and Colgan and at the age of 15 proceeded to St. Joseph's Convent School in Toronto. In 1952, Chris obtained her R.N. designation at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. While she was at school in Toronto, she met and captured the heart of Earl DUFFY from Nelson, British Columbia. It was the beginning of a great love story. Chris and Earl married in 1954 and spent the next 50 years building a wonderful and rich life together. Chris was a remarkable woman and through the years displayed her immense versatility and talent. She was a skilled antique collector with a keen eye for beauty. She made her mark as an entrepreneur; in 1983 Chris and Earl formed Totson Corporation and developed, patented and marketed a new and better milk container to the Canadian market. Her other passions included music and bridge. However, her greatest passion and joy in life was always her family. She was a partner to Earl in his business career - always there as a sounding board, advisor and confidante. Her devotion and loyalty as a mother and grandmother were unparalleled, her family was always her greatest source of pride. While she lived in the Toronto area for most of her life, she never forgot her small town roots - she was always an authentic and warm person with a genuine interest in other people. She possessed great grace, poise and beauty - grit and determination. She profoundly touched the lives of those who knew her and will be missed more than words can say. She leaves a phenomenal legacy for all of us. Our family takes comfort in having a guardian angel looking out for us. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 11, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham (905-936-3477) with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. James Church in Colgan.
