It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of our dear mother Pat at Niagara Arms Nursing Home, St. Catharines, on Tuesday April 19, 2005. Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband Porky April 6, 1995. Survived by her son Gordon (Heather) LANGFORD of Burlington, her daughter Pam (Mike) RAPSEY of St. Catharines. Granddaughters Melissa CAMERON, Jennifer (Dan) LEBLANC of St. Catharines, Susan LANGFORD of Toronto and grand_son Christopher (Michelle EGAN) LANGFORD of Toronto. Her beloved great-grand_son Jackson Hubert Edouard LEBLANC. Dear sister to Myrtle DILAMARTER and niece Patty TROMSDORF of St. Catharines, sister of the late Murray, AUBREY and George MORRISON. Also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Service of Remembrance for Patricia LANGFORD will be held at Saint John's Anglican Church, 80 Main Street, Port Dalhousie on Friday April 22, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m. Family will receive Friends at the Church from 1: 00 p.m. until service time. He was born in Holland 72 years ago son of the late Harry and Henrika THOONEN. He is survived by his dear wife of 47 years the former Elizabeth (Elsie) GRIMMINCK. Dear father of Dr. Rosemary DUBOWCHIK and husband Dr. Eugene of Connecticut, Ed and wife Kathy of Ilderton, Henry of Kitchener, Fred and wife Lori of Guelph. Proud grandfather of granddaughter Anna. Also survived by brother Jerry and wife Liz THOONEN of Aylmer, as well as several sisters, nieces and nephews in Holland. FRISHETTE, Dr. W. Allen
Of Saint Thomas passed away at London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Friday, October 28, 2005, in his 70th year. Beloved husband of 45 years to Jean (DUBYK) FRISHETTE. Dearly loved father of David A. FRISHETTE and his wife Brenda of London, and Karen L. FRISHETTE and her husband Thomas LITTLE of Saint Thomas. Dear brother of June RADNEY and her husband Marvin of Seabrook, Texas. Also remembered by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Port Burwell, Ontario, December 2, 1935, son of the late William and Alice (ALLEN) FRISHETTE. He spent three summers (1952-1954) as a construction worker, helping to build the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. Dr. FRISHETTE was a 1954 graduate of the Saint Thomas Collegiate Institute (S.T.C.I.). He won multiple awards that year, winning a scholarship in physics and chemistry from the University of Western Ontario and two bursaries, one from the Atkinson Foundation and one from the Dominion-Provincial Fund. Dr. FRISHETTE went on to attend the University of Western Ontario Medical School, graduating cum laude in 1960. In his final year he was awarded the Kingswood Scholarship by the medical school faculty. Dr. FRISHETTE interned at St. Joseph's Hospital in London. He served two years postgraduate work in pathology at the Regional Laboratory in London and two years in postgraduate work in pathology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He worked for a year as a pathologist at the Veterans' Administration Hospital, Ann Arbor, and one year at Victoria Hospital, London. In 1969, Dr. FRISHETTE commenced working as a pathologist at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital and in 2001 retired as Chief Pathologist. He was interested in auto racing throughout his whole life. Dr. FRISHETTE was also a great lover of animals and wildlife, and leaves behind a home full of pets that will miss him dearly. At Dr. FRISHETTE's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private family graveside service will be held at Elmdale Memorial Park, Saint Thomas. Memorial donations to Pets Friends for Life gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas.
