George Arthur "Art" of R.R.#4 Saint Thomas, on Sunday, January 2, 2005, at Extendicare, Port Stanley, in his 84th year. Dearly loved husband of Anna L. (MILLMAN) LANG and loved father of Dennis "Denny" and his wife Janet LANG of Union and Donna and her husband Karl CROCKER of R.R.#4 Saint Thomas. Loved grandmother of Kelly and her husband John VANDERWYST, Christine LANG, Laura McKENZIE, and Brent CROCKER and his fiancee Crystal PAYNE. Dear great-grandfather of Taylor and Trent VANDERWYST and Karlie-Anna McKENZIE. Art was born at Yarmouth Heights on August 11, 1921, the son of the late Arthur and Violet (DENNIS) LANG. He was a retired farmer and also drove for Sterling Fuels. He was a life member of Plains Baptist Church and a past Deacon and Trustee. Art was Past Member of Saint Mark's Masonic Lodge #94 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons and Past District Deputy (1967). He was a member of the Hi-Ro Shrine, the Provo Corps and the Scottish Rite and was also a member of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. Art served as Santa Claus for over 26 years. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Wednesday afternoon and then to Plains Baptist Church for funeral service at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Plains Cemetery. Brother of Eugene HINZ and his wife Patricia of Chatham, Sandra KOKE of Blind River, and the late Robert HINZ of Chatham. Born in Perth County, January 27, 1934, son of the late Lorne HINZ and Florence (COLLINS) HINZ. Doug had been a long time employee of C.H.L.O., and had been an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Saint Thomas. He spent many years with the Kinsman Club and the K-40 Club of Saint Thomas. The family will receive their Friends at the R. E. Allen Funeral Chapel, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and evening. Funeral service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, corner of Elm Street and First Avenue, Saint Thomas, Thursday afternoon at 1: 30 p.m. Interment will be made in Saint Thomas Cemetery. After 2 years in Vancouver she moved to England were she taught French and English in London, retiring a few years ago. Daughter of Dorothy (ROBERTS) O'NEIL and the late Aljoe W. O'NEIL (1978) and niece of Olive BOND. Dear sister of Marjorie (Darrell) DENNIS, Sheila (Tom) MARTIN, and Douglas (Sandy JEFFERSON) O'NEIL, all of Saint Thomas. Born in Stoney Point, on February 16, 1912, daughter of the late Melina (DUPUIS) and Joseph LEFRANCOIS, she was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church. HEATH, Howard Edgar Wesley
Passed away peacefully into the hands of the Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, after a short illness, in his 101st year. Howard was born in Ethel, Ontario on September 17, 1904, the son of the late Wesley and Lavina (ZURBRIGG) HEATH of Listowel. Howard was a barber all his life. He came to Saint Thomas in 1929 working in partnership with Earl COOK until the war. In 1940 he went to the Air Force Technical Training School which had taken over the Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital building and operated the Barber Shop there for 6 and a half years. After the war he operated his own barber shop on Ross St. for 27 years, retiring after 40 years in 1972. He was a life member of Talbot Lodge #546 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons receiving his 50 year jewel in 1992. He was Past Patron of Central Star Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #57. He was a member of Grace United Church for over 70 years and an elder over 30 years, serving on various boards and committees.
Survived by his loving wife Beth HEATH (POOLE) (BEAL) and predeceased by his 1st wife Eva (ANDERSON) HEATH. Beloved stepfather of Sandra SIBBLEY and Jim and his wife Cathy BEAL, all of Saint Thomas. Loved brother of Helen GUNN of Milverton. Predeceased by 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Special uncle to Betty (Jack) SOUTHEN of Ilderton, Darrell (Marjorie) DENNIS of Saint Thomas, Harry (Conney) JOHNSON of Sarnia, Allen (Shirley) JOHNSON of Strathroy and Joanne (John) MAGDA of Windsor and numerous other nieces and nephews. Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Lantana, Florida. She was in her 100th year. Dorothy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she resided until her marriage in 1962 to A. Everett LOGAN of London, Ontario. She and Everett divided their time between London and Palm Beach, Florida until Everett passed away in 1978. Since then Dorothy has lived year-round in Florida. Daughter of William Walter DENNIS and Helen Hurley DENNIS, Dorothy▼ was predeceased by her step-daughter Suzanne (LOGAN) CARROLL. She will be sadly missed by her son-in-law Jim CARROLL, his wife Mary Alice and his family; Craig and Cindy CARROLL, all of Toronto, Paula and Matt SCHWINDT of Burlington and Diana and Douglas ADAM/ADAMS of Edmonton, Alberta. Mac was born in West Zorra Township, Oxford County on May 31, 1921 a son of the late LeRoy Carl INNES and the former Mary Genetta GREEN. He had farmed in Zorra Township, Oxford County most of his lifetime. Mac was predeceased by his 1st wife, the former Dorothy Catherine MEADOWS, on Janaury 13, 1969; his 2nd wife, the former Betty Jacqueline "Jackie" (PARKER) DENNIS, on May 7, 1993 and by his brothers, Robert INNES and Ronald INNES. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy and husband Colin KITTMER of West Lorne, Joan and husband Robert BEAN of R.R.#2 Embro one son, Keith and wife Ruth Ann INNES of R.R.#3 Embro; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Jean INNES of Stratford and Joyce INNES of Ingersoll along with several nieces and nephews. DENNIS, William Clinton " Bill" (1951-2005)
Bill Dennis, much-loved son of Frances and William DENNIS, and dear brother of Anita, died suddenly in Calgary, Alberta from a heart attack after hip surgery, following a fall on the ice on February 4, 2005 at the age of 53 years. A long-serving employee of Foremost Industries, Bill was recently honoured for more than twenty-five years with the company. He loved his job and wanted to get back to it as soon as possible. Although his parents were Canadian, Bill was born and educated in England. His first part-time job was as a Photofinish Operator at London's White City. He began full time employment at Simpson's, Piccadilly in 1970. Three years later Bill came to Canada and started his career with Mannix Ltd. in Wabush, Quebec, a remote northern outpost close to Labrador City. He later moved to Hewitt Equipment in Montreal. In January 1977 he came to Calgary to join Seismic Drills International as Partsman and Purchasing Agent. When this company merged with Foremost Industries in 1986 he became Production Partsman with a range of duties including his favourite, the precision accuracy of punching track belts for the new rigs coming off the assembly line. His head was full of numbers and he was a walking inventory of the parts used in Foremost's complicated array of all-terrain vehicles and equipment for the oil industry. Bill was a charismatic character who made Friends easily and loved to joke and sing in Karaoke contests. He never married but was always close to his sister. They were planning a cruise in a few weeks time, where he would indulge in his love of dressing up in formal attire borrowed from his father, with whom he also shared a passion for old musicals. Bill DENNIS of Oakville, Ontario, writes about Red HORNER, whose obituary appeared on April 29.
When I was an impressionable young altar boy at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on St. Clair Avenue West and Clifton Road in Toronto in the 1940's, an act of kindness occurred that tempered some of the "rough-tough" descriptions of Red HORNER.
At the time, the curate was Reverend John BRENNAN, a man with connections at the Granite Club down the road on St. Clair. In those days, the Granite Club was a place of almost unattainable grandeur for a teen-aged lad, so when about 30 teen-aged altar boys were informed by Mr. BRENNAN that we were to be dinner guests of Red HORNER, you can imagine our collective excitement. Mr. HORNER, who was a parishioner, played host in a private dining room at the club and I have never forgotten the thrill.

Also survived by his loving children: Peter (Carol-Ann), Seanah, Paul (Deborah), Anne and Janet (Dennis), his grandchildren: Michael, Steven, Lesley, Kevin, Brian, the late Katherine, David and Alison, and his great-grandchildren: Christian and Taylor. Howard was a man of many interests and talents. A World War 2 veteran and former vice-president of Redpath Sugar, he was an avid reader and music lover, an accomplished golfer and curler, and a talented carpenter and cabinetmaker. But above all these, Howard was a devoted husband and father who could envision nothing better than an evening around the dining room table with his wife and children. No prior visitation. GUSELLE, Robert " Bob" Deighton Wilson
Born in Toronto the 14th of June, 1925 to Reginald and Millie GUSELLE, who had immigrated to Canada from England. Bob grew up in Arnprior, Ontario and enjoyed summers spent canoeing and camping with brothers Roger, Clifford and Brian in Algonquin Park. Dr. GUSELLE graduated from Queen's University Medical School in 1950 and interned at the Montreal General Hospital. He also completed post-graduate studies in medicine in London, England, at Hammersmith Hospital and Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital and worked with Dr. Sheila Sherlock, whom he called the "Liver Queen of England". In 1954, after finishing his studies, he returned to Canada where he dedicated the next 40 years of his life to his family medical practice at the Oshawa Clinic. He spent 28 of his 40 years there as Medical Director. During his tenure, the Clinic grew to the second largest private clinic partnership in Canada. Dr. GUSELLE will be remembered for his unfailing commitment to his patients, until his retirement at age 69. He was a caring, compassionate doctor, a rare breed, who gave everything he had to his patients. Not only did he make house calls, but would also take calls at home from patients who had a concern that just couldn't wait until the next day's office hours. In retirement, Dr. GUSELLE was able to spend more time focusing on his other passions: travel, gardening, World War history, the log retreat he spent many years restoring, and, of course, his family. Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife Kathy (TOTTEN) GUSELLE, children Pamela, Patricia, and Christopher GUSELLE, grand_sons Timothy and Andrew SCHJERNING, and Ry GUSELLE, sons-in-law, Pascal DENNIS, Eric SCHJERNING and daughter-in-law, Alexandra WALSH. He was predeceased by brothers Roger, Clifford and Brian GUSELLE. Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Lantana, Florida. She was in her 100th year. Dorothy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she resided until her marriage in 1962 to A. Everett LOGAN of London, Ontario. She and Everett divided their time between London and Palm Beach, Florida until Everett passed away in 1978. Since then Dorothy has lived year-round in Florida.
Daughter of William Walter DENNIS and Helen Hurley DENNIS, Dorothy▲ was predeceased by her step-daughter Suzanne (LOGAN) CARROLL. She will be sadly missed by her son-in-law Jim CARROLL, his wife Mary Alice and his family; Craig and Cindy CARROLL, all of Toronto, Paula and Matt SCHWINDT of Burlington and Diana and Douglas ADAM/ADAMS of Edmonton, Alberta. Also by her step-daughter Gloria (LOGAN) ELLENTON, husband Harold of Waterloo and their family; Jennifer of Erin, Ontario, Susan and husband Robert ANDERSON of Victoria, British Columbia, Bob ELLENTON and Faith MOOSANG of Vancouver, British Columbia, Kristy ELLENTON and Mike STROH, Elizabeth ELLENTON and Kelly TOWNSEND all of Waterloo and eleven great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was an avid golfer, still playing even when she was in her late eighties. Her vitality and longevity were admired by family and Friends.

Mark's energy, professionalism and enthusiasm was instrumental in building Orion into one of Canada's largest independent securities firms. In his family life, Spark was larger than life. He was passionately devoted to Fil, Brad and Mitch and enthusiastically encouraged, taught and coached his boys every step of the way. He will be sadly missed in Oakville Hockey circles both as a coach and player.
