their loving care and guidance during Maria's illness. Family

at the age of 88.

SIMPSON, and elder
brother of Derek, D'Arcy was born in Eastbourne, England and
educated at Westminster School in London. During World War 2,
he served in the British Army (Royal Army Service Corps) in Scotland
and England, and
in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany, and
was released as Major. He was married in 1943 and emigrated with
his family to Canada in 1952. D'Arcy had a successful career
at Morden and Helwig Insurance Adjusters, where he held several
senior positions and retired as Secretary-Treasurer after 30
years of service. Predeceased by Mary (Mae), his beloved wife
of 53 years, he is survived by son Ian (Carole) of Winchester,
England, and grandchildren James (Paris, France), Richard (London,
England), and Caroline (Edinburgh, Scotland); and by daughter
Muriel (Michael
DENEGA,) and granddaughter Kristen, all of Toronto.

D'Arcy will be remembered by those who knew him as a cultured
and generous English gentleman, with a quick wit and wry sense

Bob grew
up in Niagara Falls and graduated from Stamford Collegiate. After
high school, Bob began his career with The Royal Bank of Canada
in 1940 in Niagara Falls, a career which spanned five decades
and culminated in his retirement as Vice Chairman of the bank
in 1985. Bob and his family travelled extensively during his
career, including stints in Hong Kong, New York, Nassau, Bahamas,
and London, England. His career with the Royal Bank was interrupted
only by his service from 1942 to 1946 as a Flying Officer with
the Royal Air Force Ferry Command during World War Two. In 1985,
Bob founded his own consulting company of which he was President
until 1996. Bob was also a Director of several leading corporations
in Canada and abroad including Cambridge Shopping Centres Limited,
Prudential Assurance of Canada, The Philadelphia Fund, Eagle
Growth Fund, Continental Can Company Inc, Munich Reinsurance,
Tiedemann/ Goodnow International Capital Corp,
MICC Investments
Limited, Commodore Computers, Dominion Bridge, R.A. Utting and
Associates Inc., and Managing Director of Roywest Banking Corporations
Limited. Bob was also a former Chairman of the Board of Halco
Shipping, Avcorp Industries, Optimal Robotics Corp, the Mortgage
Insurance Company of Canada, Canadian General Insurance and Arbitrage
Associates Ltd. We will remember his love of music, especially
the operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan, his resounding laughter
and tremendous sense of humour, especially for British comedy,
his legendary ability as a captivating storyteller and his belief
in the power of positive thinking. Above all, Bob will be remembered
for his love of his family and pride in their accomplishments
and for his tireless efforts and dedication to whatever cause

DENISON of Winnipeg, Manitoba,
on October 14, 1915. Eileen grew up in Winnipeg surrounded by
her many dear cousins, and graduated from Rupertsland/Balmoral
Hall. She married, and was predeceased by (1977), Clifford Parnell
WILSON in Ottawa 1940. They lived in Winnipeg (1940-1058,) Calgary
(1958-1960) and Ottawa (1960-1967) as they followed Clif's career
as a historian. They retired to Victoria where they "didn't have
to shovel snow" in 1967. In every city, Eileen was active with
the art gallery, her church and with many other community organizations.
She shared a love of music with Clif and was a strong supporter
of they symphony and the opera wherever she lived. She loved
to travel, visiting almost every continent (too much snow in
Antarctica) and is the veteran of many cruises. She will be remembered
for her love of letter writing, bridge, crossword and jigsaw
puzzles, Victoria Beach, golf, swimming, gracious dining and
giving to her family. She was generous in so many ways. She is
survived by, and devoted her life to, her children, grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and their families across North America:
