Passed away, suddenly, on Tuesday, October 11, 2005. John William KELLY, in his 64th year. He was the loving father of Karen and her husband Rico VETTOR, and Kevin and his wife Tracy (née BREESE) KELLY. John was the dear grandfather of Kelsey, Jacob and Isaac, and the late Nicholas (1991). He is survived by his brother Mike (Joan) KELLY of Granton, and sisters Mary (Joe) JOLLEY of Guelph, Catherine (Jim) DANDY of Fergus, and Elizabeth (Betty) (Phil) GILES of Glencoe, and sister-in-law Verla KELLY. John will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, and by many close Friends. John was the dear son of the late P. James KELLY (1974) and Doris (née WHITE/WHYTE) KELLY (1994.) he was predeceased by sister Bridget (1943), and by his twin brother Joe (1979). Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, where family will receive Friends on Friday, October 14, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 10: 00 a.m. Private interment at St. Patricks Cemetery, Lucan, at a later date. Passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 10th, 2005, surrounded by his family. Blair HARBER, beloved husband of the late Mabel, in his 86th year. Loving and cherished father of Judith Elizabeth YOVANOVICH, Blair Lawrence (his wife Norma Jane) HARBER, Patricia Helen (her husband John) TRIBOU, Kenneth George HARBER and John Edwin (his wife Lucie) HARBER. Sadly missed by his grandchildren David, Amanda, Evan, Andrew, Paul, Alex, Katy, Michael, Jillian, Sara, Julie and Stephanie. Predeceased by his son Brian and by his sister Elizabeth DANDY and his brother Edwin Ted HARBER. Mr. HARBER was the founder of Harber Manufacturing in Fort Erie and a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church. With sorrow, the family of John D'Angelo announce his peaceful passing on September 10th after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Shelley (née WIGHAM.) Profoundly loved by his mother, Ancilla and father Ivo (deceased). A good friend to William (Bill) and Anne WIGHAM (Calgary.) John was a man of honour and high standards. A graduate of University of Toronto (Honours, B.Sc.) and University of Western Ontario (M.B.A.) his work in the world of technology and finance brought him great satisfaction and garnered him many life long Friendships. His thirst for knowledge was unquenchable and his love of writing culminated in the book he believed in each and every one of us. John will be remembered as an old soul by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the entire care team at Princess Margaret Hospital, especially Dr. David HEDLEY, Dr. John KIM, Dr. Dori SECARRECCIA, Dr. BRYSON, Dr. Madeline LI and the compassionate professionals on the 16th floor.
John will be cremated as he wished. His grandchildren, Paige and Chaylene have lost a bright shining light in their lives. Born in Ealing, England, April 1, 1922. He served with the Royal Marines from 1940-1945 and came to Canada in 1950. Mr. STAFFORD was retired from the Ford Motor Company of Canada. It is with great sadness that Ron DANIEL passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday June 9, 2005 surrounded by his family. Loving▼ husband and best friend of Shirley DANIEL for over 50 years. Beloved father to Derrick DANIEL and his friend Barb MOLNAR of Tillsonburg, Rhonda PATTERSON and her husband Bob of Brampton, and Heather KENNEDY and her companion Michael WALZACK of Milverton. Ron was a loving grandfather to several grandchildren. Marie and had conducted Mass when he was attacked by a band of Iroquois warriors. Dressed in his vestments, he caused a diversion that allowed some of his congregation to escape. He was killed and his body mutilated. His church was set alight and his remains were thrown into the flames.

Boy's killing stuns neighbours

St. Catharines, Ontario -- Stunned residents of an apartment building where a child was killed on the weekend believe the boy was hit by a stray bullet that came through the ceiling from the apartment unit above.
Niagara Regional Police identified the victim as Jordan SMITH, 8, who lived with his mother on the second floor of the apartment complex.
Police spokesman Constable Sal BASILONE said an autopsy conducted at Hamilton General Hospital confirmed the boy died of a gunshot to the back.
Police were searching for a St. Catharines man, Brian Stephen DANIEL, 29, who is considered armed and dangerous.
He is wanted on one count of criminal negligence causing death.
The apartment where the boy lived and the unit directly above have been cordoned off and both were being maintained as a crime scene.
"Everyone was startled and absolutely shocked by this," said Jan ZGAZAR, 33, another resident of the non-profit housing project known as Moonstone Cooperative Homes.
"This is a quiet place. Nothing like this has happened before. This is very abnormal. People have been up all night. They were crying and hugging each other."
A group of women gathered in the courtyard of the complex said police have told them little.
"She was a very good mother. She never went anywhere without that boy," said one neighbour, referring to Jordan's mother.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Joan FLANNERY, his sister Betty DANIEL of Thornhill and brother Kenneth of Louisiana. He is survived by his much loved children, Maureen (Wayne SQUIBB,) Marilyn▼ (Robert▼ KRAM,) Gary (Lorri METCALFE) and Greg (Dr. Vivian LIU;) and his adored grandchildren, Cristin (Adam LAZIER,) Jessica,▼ Elizabeth,▼ Geoffrey,▼ Jonathan, James, Jaclyn, Allison, Bryan, Jordan and Clare. Born in Toronto, graduating from commerce at Malvern, Jim joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942. During his career he served several terms as Chairman of the Canadian Welding Society and The Ontario Welder's Supply Association. Jim and his wife Joan were active golf and curling members of The St. Catharines Golf and Curling Club for over 55 years. He served several years on the Board of Directors, becoming an Honorary Member in 1999. At his Tribute it was stated: 'Jim is a mild-mannered man of integrity and gentlemanly qualities. Many of our older members have known him for decades and what we have written will not be news to them. Stray bullet kills sleeping boy, 8,
Shot fired from apartment above, neighbours say

St. Catharines -- An 8-year-old boy is dead after he was shot while sleeping in his apartment bedroom and neighbours believe the bullet was fired from a unit directly above him.
Police and paramedics arrived at the low-rise co-op complex around 12: 50 a.m. yesterday and found a bleeding Jordan SMITH being cradled by his mother. He was taken to St. Catharines General hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Niagara police confirmed yesterday afternoon that their investigation is focused on the SMITHs' apartment -- on Roehampton Ave. near Welland Ave. just north of the Queen Elizabeth Way -- and the one directly above it.
Several neighbours said Jordan and his mother had lived in the building for about two years. They said a young man living upstairs was playing with a gun when it went off.
Last night, police said a 29-year-old St. Catharines man is being sought on a count of criminal negligence causing death.
The shooting is Niagara's 10th homicide of the year.
Vladimir ZGAZAR, who lives next door to the SMITHs, was getting ready for bed when he heard what he thought was a gunshot. "We were looking out the window and we could still hear the echo," ZGAZAR said. "It makes me sick. If you want to shoot a gun, why not take it somewhere else where innocent people won't get hurt? Why not go to a shooting range?"
Yesterday, people in this 130-unit complex returned to the courtyard like they do most sunny Saturday mornings. Children played on a jungle gym while parents sat on benches and talked. One man erected a small flagpole on a picnic table, then raised a Canadian flag halfway.
Neighbours said a family of four -- two parents, a teenage girl and a young man -- live upstairs from the SMITHs.
ZGAZAR's brother, Patrik ZGAZAR, whose 10-year-old son was one of Jordan's playmates, was outside the building minutes before the police arrived. He didn't know anything was wrong, but he saw the young man who lived above the SMITHs run from the complex with two Friends.
Another neighbour, Liz AUDETTE, saw the man's three other family members taken away in cruisers just before 3 a.m.
Lynda ZIMMERMAN, who taught Jordan music and drama in Grades 1 and 2 at Carleton Elementary before she moved to a new school this year, was shocked at the news, when contacted by the Toronto Star. She described Jordan as friendly and athletic. "You couldn't have asked for a nicer kid."
A post-mortem conducted in Hamilton confirmed Jordan died as the result of gunshot wound to the back.
Police are looking for Brian Stephen DANIEL, 29, of St. Catharines.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving children, on October 16, 2005 at the age of 81, Jim passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital following a very brief illness. Jim was predeceased by his mother Lillian BURK/BURKE (1975,) father John MOFFATT (1929) and brother Jack (2004). Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Joan FLANNERY, his sister Betty DANIEL of Thornhill and brother Kenneth of Louisiana. He is survived by his much loved children, Maureen (Wayne SQUIBB,) Marilyn▲ (Robert▲ KRAM,) Gary (Lorri METCALFE) and Greg (Dr. Vivian LIU;) and his adored grandchildren, Cristin (Adam LAZIER,) Jessica,▲ Elizabeth,▲ Geoffrey,▲ Jonathan, James, Jaclyn, Allison, Bryan, Jordan and Clare. Born in Toronto, graduating from commerce at Malvern, Jim joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942. Following his discharge, he moved to St. Catharines where he co-founded and presided as president of Niagara Welder's Supply until selling his interest to Union Carbide in 1991. During his career he served several terms as Chairman of The Canadian Welding Society and The Ontario Welder's Supply Association. Jim and his wife Joan were active golf and curling members of The St. Catharines Golf and Curling Club for over 55 years. He served several years on the Board of Directors, becoming an Honorary Member in 1999. At his Tribute it was stated: "Jim is a mild-mannered man of integrity and gentlemanly qualities. Many of our older members have known him for decades and what we have written will not be news to them. However, we would bet that every one of them considers themselves to be one of his Friends and you can be sure that they carry that distinction with pride. That is the essence of Jim MOFFATT." Jim▲ was also an active member of the Niagara Falls Club, Rotary Club and Rodman Hall. Visitation Thursday, October 20, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the Hulse and English Funeral Home and Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines, 905-684-6346. Funeral Mass Friday, October 21, 2005 at 1 p.m. at The Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 67 Church Street, St. Catharines.
