Passed away peacefully, in the Golden Years Nursing Home, Cambridge, on January 19, 2005. Loving wife of William (Bill) KNIGHT, devoted mother of James, Robert and Jo-Anne (JUDGE,) sadly missed by their spouses Elizabeth, Eileen and John; and grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, April, Angela, Patrick, and Joseph; sister Helen (CRUMBACK) brother Albert and their spouses George and Audrey and predeceased by her parents Edwin (1963) and Gladys (2000). Doris attended Humberside Collegiate and graduated in 1940. As a young woman, Doris was a respected member of the office staff at Grinnell Company in Toronto. Later, she held a position at Butler Metal Company in Preston. Her generous spirit and caring nature were woven through her relationships with Friends and family and her volunteer service. She will be missed by all who knew her. CRUMP (1974;) dear mother of Ernie and his wife Marilyn of Cambridge and Ross and his wife Jennifer of London; loved grandmother of Ian, Meagan, Joshua, Carrie and the late Aaron (1997); loving great-grandmother of Bella, William, Kayla, Frank, Cora and Erica; dear sister of Agnes SLACK and her husband Ron of St. Catharines and Henry and his wife Vivian LENGYELL of Chatsworth. She was predeceased by six brothers, Steve, John, George, Frank, Joe and Martin and two sisters Anne and Kay.

Betty was better known in the community as the first women to be a partner in a brokerage firm in Toronto (Tom and Barnt), was one of the first women traders on Bay St. She would often be seen playing cribbage or enjoying an afternoon at Casino Rama.
Born in the Humber area of Toronto to Stanley and Mabel REED she was the sister to Ernie (Mississauga) and Phyllis (Punta GORDA.)
Betty peacefully passed away in her sleep at Valley Farm Seniors home in Pickering. She is survived by her son Jeff CRUMP (Pickering) and daughter Nancy HARRISON (Whitby.) She will be missed by her grand children, Shannon and Vanessa HARRISON, Lauren and Darren CRUMP, and daughter-in-law and son-in-law Jenny CRUMP and Michael HARRISON. Passed away, peacefully, at her home in Waterloo, on Monday, November 7, 2005.
Beth taught high school for the Scarborough Board of Education and retired from Woburn C.I. in 1985. Her interests were gymnastics and intramural sports. She enjoyed working with stained glass, cottage life and nature with her husband Jack who predeceased her in 1990.
Beloved mother of Ann WONG (Joe) of Calgary, Barbara CRUTCHLEY of Winnipeg, Robert CRUTCHLEY (Maria) of Ottawa and Gord CRUTCHLEY of Scarborough. Adored grandmother of Michael and Carolyn, Jennifer, Jonathan and Christopher, Nicole and Michelle. Dear sister of Ruth JACKSON and her husband Dr. Bruce JACKSON of Waterloo and sister-in-law of Ruth WHITE/WHYTE of Kanata. Remembered and loved by her many nieces and nephews.
