Wife, Barbara Eileen (née CRUICKSHANK,) daughter, Alison Emily, son, David Wilson and his wife Lori (née MILEC,) trust and obey the Lord's will and continue to walk by faith and allow His spirit and gift of healing to lift us up today, tomorrow and always. John will also be greatly missed by his in-laws, Allan, Eileen and brother-in-law, John CRUICKSHANK. Please join us for a Celebration of John's Life. A Memorial Service is to be held on Saturday, November 19th at Shallow Lake Community Church. There will be a chance to visit with the family from 1: 00 p.m. on, with a short service to begin at 2: 00 p.m. John's church family could not have been more loving and supportive of him from the first day he stepped through their doors. It was there, with Divine help, that John learned to feel peace at night and hope each morning. In lieu of flowers, at John's request, offerings to Shallow Lake Community Church or to the Palliative Care facility at Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton would be warmly appreciated. The care received in Southampton for John and our family by the doctors, nurses and staff was wonderful and we thank them sincerely for their compassion and caring. We are especially thankful for all the emotional, physical and spiritual help provided to us in these last weeks of John's life by all of our Friends and family. We have all felt comfort and security from your expressions of love and we will continue to remember you in our prayers. God bless you. PULKER, Lorna Olive (née BROWN) (1928-2005)
On Tuesday, February 15th, 2005 at Humber River Regional Hospital - Church Site. Past President Ladies Auxiliary Branch 527 Royal Canadian Legion. Past Officer of the branch. Volunteer Driver for Cancer patients to Princess Margaret Hospital, Meals on Wheels and an avid curler at one time. Lorna did not "go gently into that dark night" - would have just as soon stayed here. Predeceased by her husband George who loved her much, as she did him. Predeceased by her dear brother Fred. Survived by her mother, Anne BROWN and her sister Barbara PARSONS. Survived by her dear children Lance (Fiona), Andrea (Peter NICOL), Stella (Doug CRUICKSHANK). Lorna had a unique close affinity with her youngest child, Stella. Like many families, Lorna regretted not seeing enough of her grandchildren, Tara, Aaron, Lindsay and Ashley but loved from a distance. Lorna was a Loving "Bubba" to Dana, Drew and Reid, who helped to bring her up, and perhaps had some influence in their lives, and great-grandchild Dylan, rarely seen but loved. If Lorna has omitted anyone who would normally be mentioned here, it was and is by design. Lorna wrote her own obituary and so it stands! That's all she wrote. Visitation will be held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre (275 Lesmill Road, 416-441-1580) on Friday February 18, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humber River Regional Hospital - Church site would be greatly appreciated.
