Special grandmother of McKenzie, Grayham, Lisa (Scott), Sarah (Chris) and Sieta (Ryan.) Former wife of Mac, and his wife Carolyn, McKENZIE, of Oliphant. Sister-in-law of Richard (Dick) JOHNSTON, of Picton, Donald (Dudley) McKENZIE, Ann McKENZIE, Marjorie (Dick) SELMAN, all of Olpihant, and Cicely (Red) CRAWKER, of Kirkville. Also survived by niece, Diane HAYES and her partner, Doug KIRBY, nephew Rob and his wife Nancy JOHNSTON, and by several McKENZIE nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by two sisters, Irene JOHNSTON, Florence HASTED, and one brother-in-law Murdoch McKENZIE. Bruce passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 2, 2005. His beloved wife Marg and sons Alex and Scott were with him. He will be fondly remembered by his mother Elinor, brothers Gordon (wife LeeAnn), Stephen (wife Mila) and his nieces and nephew Jennifer, Thomas, Emily, and Sarah. Bruce worked for many years in the marketing industry, rising to the level of Vice President, Marketing at the Corning, Noma, and Metex companies. He also worked for Boyle-Midway, Clearnet and A.T&T over the years. Bruce will be missed by the many Friends he has made through work, as well as on the basketball court, golf course and curling rink. Alice Winona KEATING, age 76, a resident of Big Bras d'Or and formerly of Toronto passed away peacefully Monday, December 5, 2005 at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Born in Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late William Edgar and Marion (REID) GOSSE. She resided most of her life in Toronto, where she married, raised her six children and then retired to Cape Breton Island seven years ago. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and grandmother. She is survived by: brother Gerald Edgar GOSSE, Newfoundland; sister in spirit Kay GOSSE, Calgary; her six children: Karen KEATING, Toronto, Jeannette (Lolek) MORAWIECKI, Big Bras d'Or, William KEATING (Michelle,) Toronto, Gale McGOWAN (Erick,) Penn., U.S.A., John KEATING, Big Bras d'Or, Marion CRAYMER (John,) Mississauga; grandchildren: Jennifer, Bryan, Jonathan, Justin, Kathryn, Sarah, Colton, Sam, Dora, Katelyn, Rebecca and Matthew.
