of her work, and her paintings are represented in art collections
across the country. She also taught art for numerous summers
at the University of Saskatchewan art schools. In 1990, Reta
received both a Lifetime Award of Excellence in the Arts, and
also the Saskatchewan Order Of Merit. The family wishes to acknowledge
Friends for their steadfastness and the Sunnyside Nursing Home
in Saskatoon for their wonderful care, which certainly helped

age 18, then taught Mathematics in Sydney, Nova Scotia and was
later awarded an LL.D. by Dalhousie. In 1932 she married her
one and only love, 'Gerry'

Toronto and raised their four children. With an intense passion
for life and art, she was highly respected as a promoter, collector
and philanthropist for Canadian Art. She was a founding member
of the Art Gallery of Ontario Women's Committee and a Trustee
and also an early catalyst and President of Toronto's Junior
League. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral

Maude maintained close
ties with her large extended family and Friends in Nassau returning
every year as long as she was able. She often provided a Canadian
home base for siblings, nieces and nephews in transit or in transition
in their lives. In recent years and especially in the last year,
Maude has been helped by loving Friends, Joyce

in North Toronto workers. Maude took great pride in managing
her own financial affairs until her death with the loving support
of Philip COWPERTHWAITE and the kind help of Lyndie
McPHUM of
the Royal Bank. This network allowed Maude to stay in her home
to the end. Her family is grateful for all the caring support.
The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home
- A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue
East), from 10: 30 a.m. until the service in the Chapel at 11:00
a.m. on Saturday, April 2. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers

GODSOE and her family are deeply grateful to all others who cared
for and supported her - especially Hyacinth
POWELL, with her
for 24 years. "Marg"
GODSOE will forever be loved and remembered
for her generous heart, incredible strength, enthusiasm, wit
and brilliant mind. Such an inspiration to everyone she met,
she graduated with highest honours from Dalhousie University
at age 18, then taught Mathematics in Sydney, Nova Scotia and
was later awarded an LL.D. by Dalhousie. In 1932 she married
her one and only love, "Gerry"
GODSOE and soon after they moved
to Toronto and raised their four children. With an intense passion
for life and art, she was highly respected as a promoter, collector
and philanthropist for Canadian Art. She was a founding member
of the Art Gallery of Ontario Women's Committee and a Trustee
and also an early catalyst and President of Toronto's Junior
League. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral
Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton
Avenue East), from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18. Flowers
are gratefully declined. If desired, memorial donations may be

Recently of Woodhall Park, passed away peacefully, on Thursday
April 14, 2005, at Peel Memorial Hospital. Beloved wife of the
late Garth. Loving mother of Cordrey and Janice and son-in-law
Brian MOAKLER. Cherished Nana of Tracey-Lee, Carl, Chris and
Alex. Violet will be sadly missed by family and special Friends.
Guests will be received at the "Brampton Chapel" of the Scott
Funeral Home, 289 Main St. N. Brampton (just south of Vodden
St.) from 7-9 p.m. on Monday April 18 and from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
on Tuesday April 19. A Service will be held in the Chapel on
Tuesday at 12: 30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed
