CORNELIUS, Elphius
To my Dad Elphius, who passed February 21, 1989.
As we stood by your bedside, 16 years ago today
Your tired heart stopped beating
And you were no longer in pain.
You did so many things for us
Your heart was kind and true
And when we needed someone
We could always count on you.
Maybe we can't touch your hand
Or see your smiling face
You are no longer in our lives to share
But in our memories you are always there.
They say time heals everything
But we know that this is not so
Because it hurts so much today
As it did 16 years ago.
Your resting place we visit
Place flowers there with care
But no one can know the heartache
When we turn and leave you there.
J.R. and family

CORNELL, Brian L.
In loving memory of Brian L. CORNELL, father of Michael, who passed away suddenly January 9, 2004.
Too Soon
You left this earth too soon for me,
There's so much I wanted to say.
You were my hero, my best friend,
And I miss you every minute, everyday.
I have your picture up on the wall,
I keep it soundly in its frame,
And everyday I sit and stare,
But it just never feels the same.
You left this earth too soon for me,
There's so much I wanted to do.
Takeyou to seethe Blue Jays play,
Go see a hockey game or two.
Sometimes I stop and listen,
To hear your footsteps across the floor.
Oh, howI'd give up everything Ihave,
Just to hear your voice once more.
You left this earth too soon for me,
There's so much you'll miss in life.
What I wouldn't give to have you beside me
When I make my girlfriend, my wife.
Oh, I've dreamt of the days when you'd be a grandpa,
And watch my children as they grew.
You'd teach them all the lessons of life,
All the things your father taught you.
You left this earth too soon for me,
There's so much to thank you for.
You made me the man I am today,
Taught me to fly and watched me soar.
I miss you so very much it hurts,
Some days I don't want to go on.
I try to convince myself it's a dream,
I don't want to believe you're gone.
Even though you left too soon for me,
You'll never hear me say goodbye,
Because the love between a father and son,
Is a love that could never die.
I'll always remember your smiles and laughter,
And the wonderful times we had.
I'm honored and proud to be your son
Because forever you'll be my Dad.
Love Michael and Samantha
