After a long, private battle with cancer Renee Marie passed away on Monday, June 13, 2005. Beloved wife of Stan, and mother of her dearest son Jonathan and his wife Kimberly of Utica; grandmother of her darling Jonathan Andrew. Survived by her brother Hector (wife Sharon) of Bedford, and by her sister Jessie (husband Reginald) of Sydney, as well as by her nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins in Goa. She will be remembered with great love by her many Friends for her great integrity, humour and fun, compassion, sense of fair play and justice. Surrounded by her family, it is with sadness that we announce the death of a wonderful mother and grandmother, Pat FRYER, at the age of 82. Pat was the loving mother and mother-in-law of John and Pat with whom she made her home, Ruth and Larry BLACKMORE, Tom and Charlene. She was the much loved grandmother of Lisa and Stephen FRYER, Mark▼ BLACKMORE, Kelly and Joe CORDEIRO, Scotty BLACKMORE, Hayley▼ and Iris FRYER and the great grandmother of Nickolas and Jacob CORDEIRO. She▼ also leaves her wonderful niece Elizabeth HAMILTON, who was such a great friend and help to her for many years, and her adored cat Posey.
Pat was a rug hooker extraordinaire, and loved to do crosswords, and passed that love on to some of her children and grandchildren. She was an adventurous woman who finally realized her wish to para-sail at the age of 79 in the Dominican Republic when on vacation with Pat and John. She will be sorely missed by all her Friends and relatives.
The family wishes to thank the healthcare staff in Emergency and Intensive Care Unit at Credit Valley Hospital, most particularly, Tracy, Joanne and Doctors PRICE and KUMAR for their wonderful care of this outstanding lady as well as their compassion and assistance to the family during this difficult time. We also wish to thank Dr. John McLEAN for his long term and excellent care.

KAIN, Keith C.
On Tuesday, May 31st, 2005, local musician Keith KAIN passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre with his music partner Barbie and her husband Bruce CORDICK by his side. Keith, who was on a world cruise, had performed on stage to a full house when later that night he suffered a heart attack. He was airlifted to Dubai, The United Arab Emirates where he stayed for two months before being airlifted to London, Ontario. Keith worked for the Ministry of Transportation retiring as head district accountant and then started his second career in music. Playing fiddle since the age of seven, he formed three bands and produced two CD's titled "Cousins Showband" and "Fiddling with Keith". He completed a successful tour of Newfoundland promoting his first CD in 1996 and played at "Fiddlers of the World," in Halifax in 1999. He also performed on Prince Edward Island at the Rollo Bay Festival. He wants to thank his fellow musicians, his fans who supported him, his close neighbours, family and Friends. Also, Trevor and Ina LIMBRICK and Ted MORRIS who predeceased him, for making it possible to do what he loved best, play music. Keith lived a full happy life and, along with his partners Barbie and Bruce, traveled extensively, created the Fiddlefern Gardens in Sauble Beach and volunteered his time in helping and entertaining others. Keith will be remembered for his smile, one line jokes and as he would say, "My Fiddling and Farming". A private family service has been held. C.D., M.D. (U of T '36), D.P.H., F.R.C.P.C., F.A.P.H.A., M.R.S.H., beloved husband of Elizabeth Agnes (ALEXANDER,) and father of children, Robert William Francis, Peter Lionel, Lynda Diane (MacAuley), Stephen Lawrence and Susan Alice (Ryan), died in his 98th year Tuesday morning at 8: 00 in Surrey, British Columbia, while holding the hand of his loving wife. He is succeeded by many cousins, of which Dr. William ROBERTSON and Robert HARRIS were among his best Friends, as was his brother-in-law, Alfred HARRIS. Eleven▼ grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren also succeed him. All of his brothers and sisters, Queen Alice Pearl (HARRIS), Francis James, Antoinette Ellen (ROBERTSON), Emma Edith, Lily Willys (COOK), and William CORDINGLEY; and also Ethel (Harris) ELKERTON and his eldest son, Bill (Robert William Francis), predecease him. He worked throughout the Middle East, Pakistan and India helping to set up public health systems during and after the Second World War before settling in Toronto to direct the Ontario Ministry of Public Health Laboratory. Dr. Elkerton, Lt. Col., C.D., M.D. (U of T '36), D.P.H., F.R.C.P.C., F.A.P.H.A., M.R.S.H., beloved husband of Elizabeth Agnes (ALEXANDER,) and father of Robert William Francis, Peter Lionel, Lynda Diane (MacAuley), Stephen Lawrence and Susan Alice (Ryan), died in his 98th year, 8: 00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2005 in Surrey, British Columbia, while holding the hand of his loving wife. He is succeeded by many cousins, of which Dr. William ROBERTSON and Robert HARRIS were among his best Friends, as was his brother-in-law, Alfred HARRIS. Eleven▲ grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren also succeed him. All of his brothers and sisters, Queen Alice Pearl (HARRIS), Francis James, Antoinette Ellen (ROBERTSON), Emma Edith, Lily Willys (COOK), and William CORDINGLEY; and also Ethel (HARRIS) ELKERTON and his eldest son, Bill (Robert William Francis), predecease him. He worked throughout the Middle East, Pakistan and India helping to set up public health systems during and after the Second World War before settling in Toronto to direct the Ontario Ministry of Public Health Laboratory. Margaret Guest (DUGGINS) CORFIELD died in Parkwood Hospital on Saturday, August 20, 2005, in her 84th year. She is survived by her husband, William, two sons, Geoffrey and Paul, and a granddaughter, Megan Marie. A daughter, Leslie Margaret died in 1992. Two sisters, Irene EAMAN and Marian FINN, predeceased her. Margaret was a Past President of the Women's Canadian Club, founding President of the United Church Women at Byron United Church, and active in several charities. Cremation and inurnment at Woodland Cemetery has been completed. Reverend Charles SCOTT, a longtime friend, will conduct a memorial service in Byron United Church, Boler Road and Commissioners, at 2: 30 Friday, August 26, with visitation at 2 p.m. and Friendship gathering afterwards. Margaret was born in St. Catherines on May 25, 1922, daughter of Walter Arthur and Ethel DUGGINS. She graduated from St. Catharines Collegiate, where she met Bill CORFIELD and they were married on November 14, 1942. Born on January 31, 1919 to Albert and Alice (BAILEY) CORFIELD of Zealandia, Saskatchewan, Cliff served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an airplane mechanic and navigator during World War 2. A sports fan, he played amateur baseball for Crosstown Motors and worked as an auto mechanic in Toronto, and then in Fredericton, retiring in 1984. He is survived by his children, Bill, Saint John, New Brunswick, Judy SUGAR, Reno, Nevada, Ken, Grimsby, Ontario, June, Toronto, Marilyn PIERCE, Burlington, Ontario, Dale, Milton, Ontario, Kathy, Toronto 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, second wife, Thirza (Teddy,) Toronto, and brother, Harold SPARKS, Zealandia. His first wife, Carrie, and brothers, Abe and Norman, preceded Cliff in death.
