Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Saturday, November 26, 2005, Paul Patrick HOUSTON, B.A., M.E., age 69, of Grand Bend, formerly of London and Ingersoll. Born October 13, 1936 in Sault Ste. Marie and moved at an early age to Ingersoll. Paul was a teacher, physical education specialist and principal in the London and Middlesex Separate School System for 37 years before retiring full time to Grand Bend, in 1991. Although he was a very private individual, Paul was well known to many in Grand Bend residents and vacationers for his dry sense of humour and his familiar glass of coke at local restaurants and bars. Survived by brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Dianne HOUSTON of Campbellville, nieces and nephews Maureen HOUSTON of Belleville, Chris HOUSTON of Italy, Mark HOUSTON of Calgary, Sarah HOUSTON of France, Christine HAWKRIGG of Etobicoke and Vincent HOUSTON of Stoney Creek and their families. Paul's quiet presence will be missed by all. Predeceased by parents Patrick and Margaret (CONNELLY) HOUSTON of Ingersoll and brother Bernard HOUSTON of Stratford. Resting at T. Peacefully, after a brief illness, went home to be with his Lord and Friend Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 20, 2005, at the age of 76. Howard was born in Craighurst, Ontario in 1929. He moved to Toronto in 1943 and from there to Elmira in 1994. Beloved husband of Ena (née NEILL,) loving father of JoAnne (David) FRIES of Greenville, Wisconsin, and Neil (Yvonne) OSTRANDER of Elmira, and cherished grandfather of Brian, Jonathan, Michael, Brett, and Jennifer. Howard will also be remembered by his sister Kathleen (John) ROSS. Howard was predeceased by his parents Harvey and Annie OSTRANDER, sister Irene CONNELLY, and brother Ray OSTRANDER. On March 7, 2005, Mary Ethelwyn CONNER passed away peacefully at the age of 96 years.
She is survived by her three sons, Richard (Margaret) of Huntsville, Ontario; Robert (Nina) of Edmonton; and Kenneth (Lorraine) of Vancouver, B.C.
There are eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband John in 1956.
Mary was born in the Stonewall, Manitoba area and lived in Manitoba until her move to Edmonton in 2001. She was a dietician at the University of Manitoba until her retirement.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service by request. A family memorial will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba at a later date.

Neil NICHOLS and her children Michael, Dale, Sherri and her husband Gary DAVIS, Susan and her husband Richard CONNERY, Lori and her husband Phil OUDI- REIMERINK and by her grandchildren, James and Erin, Elyse and Steven; Austin and Cassandra all of Toronto and Ashley, Nicole and Neil of Connecticut and by her mother, Regina OUTHOUSE and the late Carmen OUTHOUSE and her brother Carmen of Digby and her sister Lucille of London, Ontario and their families. Doris had many other Friends, àunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will also miss her greatly.

Passed away in Saskatoon, on Monday, May 9, 2005, aged 93. Neil was born and grew up in Fort Qu'Appelle, teaching in several schools in Saskatchewan prior to his service in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 2. He graduated from Queen's University in 1951, receiving an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree. He moved to Montreal and taught high school English and History for the Protestant Central School Board. Neil was predeceased by his wife, Annetta KYLE of Winnipeg in 1972 and four older brothers, Alex, Thomas, William and Eric. After Neil's retirement in 1973, he returned to the Qu'Appelle Valley and lived there until he moved to Saskatoon in 2000. He will be sadly missed by his niece, Barbara, and Bill CONNERY of Saskatoon and their family, James, Darcy, Jenna and Ryan CONNERY, Rhonda and Robb BROCKMAN, Carla, Chad, Bailey and Aidan SAWATZKY, Candace, Rob, Laurie and Matthew MITCHELL, and by his nephew, Tom, and Sarah FARQUHARSON of Toronto, and his family, Barbara FARQUHARSON, Robert and Spencer DRINNAN, and Scott, Bess and Christopher FARQUHARSON. He will also be missed by his brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Marjory KYLE of Toronto. Pat was born in Middlesex, England on April 3rd, 1937. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, August 21st after a courageous battle with cancer. Her husband, the Honorable Norman A. CAFIK (D.P.S., P.C.,) her five children (Monica, Juliana (Mark), Anthony, Yvonne (John) and Michael (Jeannie), and 13 grandchildren survive her. Her mother, Ruby CONNIFF and brothers Anthony (Mary) and Phillip (Marilyn) also survive her as do a large extended family in England and Canada. She is pre-deceased by her father, Alf in 1987. Growing up in Middlesex, Pat attended the Acton Poly Technical College where she majored in French. Upon graduation in 1959, Pat ventured to Canada to visit a friend. Soon after, she landed a job, met and became engaged to Norm, and immigrated to Canada. Norm and Pat began their married life in 1960 in Pickering, Ontario where Norm served as the federal Liberal Member of Parliament and as a Cabinet Minister from 1968 to 1979. In 1977, Pat became a Canadian citizen. While busy with political life and raising five children, Pat thrived in her 20-year career as a public servant in the Federal Government of Canada. In 1979, Norm and Pat relocated their family to Burnaby, British Columbia and in 1989, retired to their waterfront paradise in Sidney. In Sidney, Pat would sing in the church choir, visit the sick, and volunteer in local sporting events. Pat was a kind and loving person who was deeply devoted to her family, and the church community. She will be deeply missed. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24th at St. Elizabeth's Parish, 10030 Third Street in Sidney. The funeral will follow on Thursday, August 25th at 2 p.m. also at St. Elizabeth's.

At London Health Sciences Centre, South Street Campus only one day after her 80th Birthday, Margaret Elizabeth (METCALFE) left this life on February 21st, 2005 to join her beloved husband James A. WATSON (1989) in Heaven. Also predeceased by daughter Patricia (1953,) grand_son Glen CONNOLLY, and parents Ellen (JOYNT) and Walter Sr. METCALFE, she was the last to survive her siblings John, Walter, Geraldine, Albert and their spouses.
Born in Quebec City, she moved to Montreal and later London, where she eventually employed at Westminster Hospital (now London Health Sciences Centre) Pharmacy Department until retirement. Margaret was adored and is survived by daughter Judy-Marie of London, step-daughter Barbara CONNOLLY of Calgary, niece Lois DICKSON/DIXON of Oakville, several nephews and their families, and her much loved canine "babies" Holly Jo Beans and Mr. Doodlebug. Treasured "Mummy", "Nana" and friend to many she unofficially adopted, including Gilles who provided care and support in her last weeks. Margaret lived a life of grace, loyalty and generous spirit. She was, and now will forever be, our angel. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, at King Street, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. She taught at North Dorchester and also worked at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. Kay was a member of Centre Street Baptist Church over 50 years, the Mission Circle, Keenager Seniors Group, Club #37 and Valleyview Drop-in Centre. Tracey FLAGG, beloved mother of Ashley and Brandan and beloved daughter of Jim and Helen of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 after a short, courageous battle with cancer at the age of 38 years. Tracey attended Bishop Grandin High School and then the University of Calgary. In the early nineties, Tracey decided to venture into the financial market where she became a very successful Financial Advisor with the Royal Bank Dominion Securities. She was an avid scuba diver, skier, traveler and a terrific soccer mom. Besides her loving children and parents, Tracey is remembered by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura and Paul CONNOLLY of Calgary, and Carrie and Carey MENDES of Houston, Texas; as well as her brother Scott and his fiancée Bonnie LUMLEY of Okanagan Falls, British Columbia. At Rene Goupil House, Pickering, Ontario (Jesuit Infirmary) on Monday, May 16th, 2005 in his 88th year and 66th year in religious life. Father was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 24, 1917. son of the late William CONNOLLY and Eileen BARTLETT. Predeceased▼ by his sister Madeline O'DEA and survived by his two sisters Hildegarde WYRZYKOWSKI and Sr. Margaret CONNOLLY, R.S.C.J. and many nephews and nieces. He entered the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) on October 5, 1939 and was Ordained on June 22, 1952. He spent 30 years working in the education of youth at Campion High School, Regina; St. Paul's High School, Winnipeg; Loyola High School, Montreal and was one of the founding Jesuits of Gonzaga High School,▼ Saint▼ John's,▼ Newfoundland. Father CONNOLLY was associated with athletics at Loyola High School, Montreal and St. Paul's High School and was treasurer for a 10 year period of the St. James-Assiniboine Athletic Conference in Winnipeg. This association was recognized in the naming of the Connolly Field at St. Paul's. Father also worked in Halifax; was assistant Pastor at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Toronto; Regis College, Toronto and Pedro Arrupe Residence, Toronto. In 2004 he moved to Rene Goupil House, Jesuit Infirmary, Pickering. At Rene Goupil House, Pickering, Ontario (Jesuit Infirmary) on Monday, May 16th, 2005, in his 88th year and 66th year in religious life. Father was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 24, 1917. son of the late William CONNOLLY and Eileen BARTLETT. Predeceased▲ by his sister Madeline O'DEA and survived by his two sisters Hildegarde WYRZYKOWSKI and Sr. Margaret CONNOLLY, R.S.C.J. and many nephews and nieces. He entered the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) on October 5, 1939 and was Ordained on June 22, 1952. He spent 30 years working in the education of youth at Campion High School, Regina; St. Paul's High School, Winnipeg; Loyola High School, Montreal and was one of the founding Jesuits of Gonzaga High School,▲ Saint▲ John's,▲ Newfoundland. Father CONNOLLY was associated with athletics at Loyola High School, Montreal and St. Paul's High School and was treasurer for a 10 year period of the St. James-Assiniboine Athletic Conference in Winnipeg. This association was recognized in the naming of the Connolly Field at St. Paul's. Father also worked in Halifax; was assistant Pastor at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Toronto; Regis College, Toronto and Pedro Arrupe Residence, Toronto. In 2004 he moved to Rene Goupil House, Jesuit Infirmary, Pickering. Friends may call at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel, 467 Sherbourne Street (south of Wellesley) on Wednesday, May 18th from 2 to 4 p.m. and again at the Manresa-Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Centre, 2325 Liverpool Road North, Pickering from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, May 19th at 11 a.m. at the Manresa-Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Centre.
