Bill worked at the Sydney Steel Plant in the Bar and Rod Mill
from 1937-1983, when he retired. He was a Veteran of the Second
World War and served overseas from 1941-1946. He spent countless
hours on the soccer field and at gymnastics events cheering for
his grandchildren and will be missed terribly. He was devoted
to his wife and family. His family invite you to celebrate Bill's
life at a memorial celebration and mass at Holy Redeemer Church,
Sydney, Nova Scotia on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 11 a.m.

many years as Secretary of the McMaster Alumni Association. For
her most significant commitment to the University, Margaret was
presented with McMaster's Distinguished Service Award. Margaret
was an active member of Ryerson United Church, Hamilton and was
a life member of the United Church Women Her volunteer activities
centered around St. Peter's Hospital, the Y.W.C.A., the Canadian
Cancer Society and the March of Dimes. Margaret was also active
in the work of OptiMrs Club. Her interests in her family history
led her to be a pivotal member of the executive of the Shaver
Family Annual Reunion where she served as Secretary for many
years. Margaret enjoyed the arts and she supported the Art Gallery
of Hamilton, the Dundas and the Southampton Museums, and the
Royal Botanical Gardens. Her love of travel took her to Greece,
Great Britain, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, Morocco, the Danube
and all over North America. Of all, her favourite spot was her
cottage in Southampton, on the shore of Lake Huron. Friends may

(now T.C.D.S.B.) for the next 23 wonderful years. He also taught
a wide variety of psychology and counselling courses for Humber
C.A.A.T., York University and the University of Toronto. The
undisputed 'Mayor' of University City, Norm was President of
the University City Community Association, President of the Board
of Directors of York Condominium Corporation #54 for 17 years,
Chairman of the North York Secondary Plan Committee for York
University, and was Master of Ceremonies for numerous Canada
Day celebrations in University City. His theatrical experience
included 25 years with T.C.D.S.B. Staff Arts as both a performer
and technical producer and 8 years with Spotlight Music Productions
as a performer. He set a shining example of courage by performing
8 different shows while confined to a wheelchair over the last
4 years. Norm fought a crippling Parkinson's Plus disorder, Multi
System Atrophy, for 7 1/2 years with grace, courage and determination.
Norm's quality of life was greatly enhanced by a dedicated group
of 15 Friends and neighbours who conducted speech therapy sessions
with him on a regular basis for over 3 years. Our deep appreciation

p.m. Parking adjacent to the funeral home. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's Basilica, 83 Power Street,
Toronto (Queen/Power Streets) at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September
10th, 2005. Cremation will be held at the Saint John's Norway Crematorium.

Brother of Donny, Paul, Gerald,
Donna, Ronnie, Dorothy and Lorraine. Also survived by sisters-in-law,
brothers-in-law, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Peter was
an employee of Wolverine Tube for over 30 years. Friends will
be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd (1 block
east of Egerton), on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service
will be held in the chapel on Saturday February 12, 2005, at
2: 00 pm with Reverend Cordell
PARSONS, of Grace United Church, officiating.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated
by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to
Mr. BROWNRIGG.
