A proud Firefighter of the Toronto Fire Department from August 1957 to December 1992. He will be sadly missed but forever remembered by his wife, family and many, many good Friends. The life of Robert (Bob) McCRONE ended peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 21st, 2005. Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1921. Bob immigrated to Canada in 1948, where he began his new life as a carpenter with the East York Board of Education. He soon met and married his life partner, Pearl Marie in 1952. Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years Pearl. Beloved father of Mark, David, Keith, Donna, Darlene and Lee. Loving father-in-law of Bonnie, Elaine, Helen, Jim, Chris and Laura. Devoted grandfather of Russell, Bronwyn, Andrew, Ian, Melanie, Christopher, Caitlin, Bradley, Bryan, Blair, Stephen, Christine, Jeffery, Jason and Matthew. Bob will be sadly missed by his sister and brother-in-law Alice and Tommy DE HAAS and family. Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2005 in Toronto. Born in Cedar Springs 84 years ago, son of the late Finlay McGUIGAN and Fern CLAUS. Nick will be sadly missed by his beloved wife the former Eileen MANNERING. Dear father of Gillian (Gil) ADAMSON and Randy WOOD, Hugh and Nancy McGUIGAN, Sheila McGUIGAN and Don TRIMM. Proud grandfather of six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren all of Toronto, brother of Peter and Shirley McGUIGAN of Blenheim. Nick was a fifty year jewel member of the Kent Masonic Lodge and was a former Zone and District Commander for the Canadian Legion. He was a World War 2 Veteran, serving with distinction with the 12th Field Regiment, 43rd Battery. He had a long career with the City of Toronto where he became the City's first Noise Control Co-ordinator. Resting at the J.L. Ford Funeral Home in Blenheim for visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and where a Legion Memorial Service will be held at 7: 00 p.m. and a Masonic Memorial Service at 8: 00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11: 00 a.m. with Padre Bill TERRIS, Legion Chaplain officiating. Interment in Craford Cemetery. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Sunnybrook, especially the K wing. Florence passed away peacefully at the Rosedale Hospice in Calgary on April 20, 2005 at the age of sixty-seven. She was born in Three Hills, Alberta and moved to Drumheller at an early age. After completing her education in Drumheller, she married Ron and moved to Calgary where they raised a family of seven children. Florence was a kind and considerate person and never missed an opportunity to help or say a kind word to someone. She was always available for charity work and supportive of many worthy causes. Her courage and sense of humor, even during her failing health, was truly an inspiration to all who knew and lover her. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Ronnie and Arnold and sister Shirley BOUGHTON and is survived by sisters Joyce (Jim) KIRKEBY, Geraldine (Dennis) CLAUSEN and brother Gerald (Judy) HANSON. Florence will be sadly missed by her husband Ron, children, Michele RADICS (Chris BENCUN), Andrew, Gerry (Joelle), Peter, Joanne (Steve CRANWELL,) Matthew and Keith. Also left to mourn, her are brothers-in-law Jack (Iris) WINKELAAR and Robert BOUGHTON and many other relatives. Florence dearly loved and cherished her grandchildren Kendra, Lukas and Mikayla BENCUN, Jordan and Logan WINKELAAR and Liam CRANWELL. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Rosedale Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care of Florence during her illness. Also, many thanks to her physician Dr. Lansing. At Florence's request there will not be a formal Funeral Service, but a Celebration of her Life will be held by family and Friends.
