On Saturday, October 1, 2005, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Algoma, Ontario, Robin Douglas "Rob" CHIEF of London in his 30th year. Beloved son of Keith and Elaine CHIEF. Sadly missed by his best friend Deana. Loved brother of Brandy CHIEF (Bill,) Rocky CHIEF all of London, and Paul DOXTATOR (Adrian) of Cornwall. Uncle of Damon, Savannah and Nevada. Cherished nephew of Jack (Shirley), Priscilla, Raymond (Arliss), Bob (Darlene), Fred, Pat (Dave), Bev (Kenneth) and Ruth. Also will be sadly missed by many cousins. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Richard SHAEFFER; proud, loving and committed life partner of Alexander DUNCAN for close to 50 years. Jim passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15th, 2005 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Jim was survived for two short weeks by his loving life partner Alexander DUNCAN. The loss of Jim was more than Alex could bear. Jim was predeceased by his parents Howard and Gladys SHAEFFER, his brothers Robert H. SHAEFFER, Donald D. SHAEFFER, Dale F. SHAEFFER, and brother-in-law George CHRISMER. Jim is survived by sister Barbara HUMMELL (Kermit) of Miamisburg, Ohio and brother Theodore SHAEFFER (Jo Ann,) sister Betty M. BELL (Harold,) and sister-in-law Wanda R. SHAEFFER, all of Lancaster, Ohio. As well, sister Virginia CHRISMER of Columbus, Ohio, and many devoted and loving nieces and nephews. Jim will be affectionately remembered and deeply missed by the Duncan family who were proud to call him brother-in-law and uncle. He was one of the most generous people we ever knew. Rarely did anyone leave Uncle Jim's empty handed. Sincere thanks to the staff of the Greater Niagara General Hospital and to special friend Paul BARBER for their compassion, love, and support. Gwen's Friends will remember her quick wit and warm smile, as well as her bravery and determination. CHRISTENSEN, Leif (1934-2005)
After a valiant and brave 3-year struggle with terminal cancer, Leif died peacefully at the Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong on Wednesday, March 9th, 2005, with his wife Suzanne and daughter Lisa by his side. He was a proud and loving father of Lisa Mary, of Hong Kong, David James and Sotiria, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Anne of Guangzhou, People's Republic of China. Born in Aarhus, Denmark on September 16th 1934 he migrated to Toronto in 1953 where he met his loving wife, Suzanne Louise McGRATH. Together with their children, Lisa and David, they moved to Halifax in 1975. Leif and Suzanne then moved to China in 1993. Leif was a hardworking, loyal, and respected businessman with a wonderful sense of humour. He will always be remembered by his Friends as "the king of puns". He loved travelling, work, and hosting parties, especially the ever-famous annual, Christmas Danish Cold Table Luncheon. He will be dearly missed. Peacefully, at the William Osler Health Centre, Brampton, on Monday, March 21, 2005, at the age of 67 years. Gerda, beloved wife of Vagn Ivar. Loving mother of Mona, Claus (Susan) and Lisa. Cherished "Farmor" of Allison and Ryan. Dear sister of Tage (Mickey) and Mogens (Mona), and sister-in-law of the late Helen. She will be missed by nieces, nephews, relatives and Friends in both Canada and Denmark. Visitation will be held at the Scott Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 289 Main St. N., Brampton, 905-451-1100 on Thursday, March 24, 2005 from 10 - 11 a.m., followed by Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation. Former Pharmacist of Dale's Pharmacy of Brampton, passed away on April 7, 2005 at Extendicare Halton Hills, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Jessie Ann. Loving father of Susan and her husband Claus CHRISTIANSEN. Proud Papa of Allison and Ryan. Brother of Zelda HALL and Elaine PUGHE. Predeceased by his brother Ron MILLER. Al was a long-time member of the Rotary Club and was actively involved in Probus and his local Seniors' Centre. Friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 289 Main St. N., Brampton (905-451-1100) on Monday, April 11, 2005 from 1-2 p.m. with a service to follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Private interment at Woodlawn Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorial donations made in Al's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Extendicare Halton Hills for their continuous care and support.

Peacefully, in her 44th year, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 7, 2005 at the Henderson General Hospital. Beloved wife and best friend of Vito for 20 years. Loving mother of Alexandra. Cherished daughter of Augusto and Lea GATTO. Loving daughter-in-law of John and Joanne AMATO. Sister and sister-in-law of Laura GATTO, Linda and Keith CHRISTIANSEN, Paul and Vesna AMATO, and John and Rosanna AMATO. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and Friends in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy. Lucii had a passion for living and for her work and currently held the position of Visual Director for Laura Canada.
