Kathleen Helen McEVOY, a resident of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at the Sydenham Campus on Monday, January 10, 2005 at the age of 88. Prior to retirement, Kathleen was a decorator with Libbey Glass. Beloved wife of the late Daniel J. McEVOY. Loving daughter of the late Alfred George and Evelyn Clarinda (CARROTHERS) NOTTLEY. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Myrtle Jeanne FLEET, Byron▲ CLIFFORD and Patricia NOTTLEY and the late Freeda URUSKI and Reta Evelyn TROJAND. Kathleen will be missed by her 17 nieces and nephews. Gord was a gentleman of quality and great integrity. He was the founder and owner of Strathroy Glass Company for many years which flourished under his guidance. Gord was a Past President and life member of the Strathoca Shrine Club, Strathroy; involved with Meals on Wheels for 10 years, and a longstanding member of the United Church of Canada. He will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, (2 blocks north of Oxford), where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 28th, 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev. Born in Sparta on June 20, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Harry MARSHALL and the former Myrtle BANGHART. Louise was a long time resident of London and moved to Stratford in 2001. She had taught school in London for most of her life and was very active in Wesley-Knox, Byron and Colborne Street United Churches. She was an avid bridge player. Beloved wife of Ralph Edward LASHBROOK for 62 years. Dear mother of Nancy and husband John PATTERSON of Stratford. Special nana to Tom PATTERSON, Dr. Wendy MARTIN and Julie PATTERSON. Survived by her sons Gary (Wendy) COCKMAN, Port Franks, Ontario and David (Tracy) COCKMAN, Beamsville, Ontario, and her grandchildren Tom (Keri), Attica, New York, Spencer (Julie CARROTHERS) and Kristin (Robb BURT) of London, Scott and Justin of Whistler, British Columbia. Also survived by two great-granddaughters, Emily and Savannah and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Mary Agnes (DAVIS) and Robert K. NASH, also by her son Rick COCKMAN (1980.) LENNAN, Dorothy " Dot" (née CARROTHERS)
"Heaven has just become richer as Dorothy "Dot" LENNAN has been received into Heaven with love, after a long, courageous battle with cancer". Dorothy died at Bluewater Health Norman Street Site, Sarnia on December 5, 2005 at the age of 84. Dorothy was an Audit Supervisor at Sears for 25 years, was president of the Sarnia Pilot Club and was a volunteer at Bluewater Health, Norman Street Site, for 12 years. She was also involved in the Relay for Life, was a valued member of the Women's Missionary Society, volunteered with Community Living at Wawanosh Enterprises and was an active member of Laurel Lea-St. Matthews Church. Dorothy met the challenges of her illness with much love and altruism. God sent angels to care for Dorothy in the persons of the very caring and concerned nurses of Palliative Care, until God was ready for her. Loving and devoted wife for 63 years of Roy E. He will be greatly missed by all. Died Sunday November 13, 2005 at Southlake Regional Hospital, Newmarket. He was born there when it was called York County Hospital on March 6, 1933. During his life he travelled far and wide, including a 3 year teaching stint, with his wife, in France and Belgium. They also had a 10 month adventure in Australia and New Zealand after retirement. Prior to that time he spent his whole career with the Scarborough Board of Education, where he enjoyed most of all working with the vastly multicultural school population. A determined life long learner dedicated to his family including his wife Carolyn of fifty years and his five children including John, Michael, Vicki, Sarah and Sandy and their families as well as his loving sister Mary Jane CARROTHERS and family. Rosemary SCHUMAKER, area manager for Welcome Wagon, died from cancer on September 3, the company's head office announced in a letter this week.
SCHUMAKER was with Welcome Wagon for 26 years, serving as area manager for the last 23.
Jackie CARRUTHERS, regional manager for Ontario and Quebec, said that SCHUMAKER will be missed.
CARRUTHERS noted that the new area manager is Bobbie WHITTINGTON, a hostess, field assistant and assistant to the regional manager. WHITTINGTON has been with the company for 15 years.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 10: 30 a.m. at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery.

Loving father of David (Helen) of Shelburne, Julie (Dan) TIMBERS and Jane CARRUTHERS all of Lefroy and Liz (CARRUTHERSWayne ROBSON) of Shelburne. He will be loved and remembered by his grandchildren Scott, Dean, Sara, Danny, Kathleen, Karli, Matthew and great granddaughter Daniella. Dear brother of Mary (Roy) EARDELEY, Tom CARRUTHERS all of South Africa and the late Alf, Percy and Henry.
