Gord was a gentleman of quality and great integrity. He was the
founder and owner of Strathroy Glass Company for many years which
flourished under his guidance. Gord was a Past President and
life member of the Strathoca Shrine Club, Strathroy; involved
with Meals on Wheels for 10 years, and a longstanding member
of the United Church of Canada. He will be greatly missed by
all. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00
p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North,
(2 blocks north of Oxford), where the funeral service will be
conducted on Friday, January 28th, 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev.

"Heaven has just become richer as Dorothy "Dot"
LENNAN has been
received into Heaven with love, after a long, courageous battle
with cancer". Dorothy died at Bluewater Health Norman Street
Site, Sarnia on December 5, 2005 at the age of 84. Dorothy was
an Audit Supervisor at Sears for 25 years, was president of the
Sarnia Pilot Club and was a volunteer at Bluewater Health, Norman
Street Site, for 12 years. She was also involved in the Relay
for Life, was a valued member of the Women's Missionary Society,
volunteered with Community Living at Wawanosh Enterprises and
was an active member of Laurel Lea-St. Matthews Church. Dorothy
met the challenges of her illness with much love and altruism.
God sent angels to care for Dorothy in the persons of the very
caring and concerned nurses of Palliative Care, until God was
ready for her. Loving and devoted wife for 63 years of Roy E.

Gord was a gentleman of quality and great
integrity. He was the founder and owner of Strathroy Glass Company
for many years which flourished under his guidance. Gord was
a past-president and life member of the Strathocha Shrine Club,
Strathroy, involved with Meals on Wheels for 10 years, and a
longstanding member of the United Church of Canada. He will be
greatly missed by all. Visitation was held on Thursday, from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland
Road North (2 blocks north of Oxford), where the funeral service
was conducted on Friday, January 28, 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev.
David CARROTHERS officiating. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Died Sunday November 13, 2005 at Southlake Regional Hospital,
Newmarket. He was born there when it was called York County Hospital
on March 6, 1933. During his life he travelled far and wide,
including a 3 year teaching stint, with his wife, in France and
Belgium. They also had a 10 month adventure in Australia and
New Zealand after retirement. Prior to that time he spent his
whole career with the Scarborough Board of Education, where he
enjoyed most of all working with the vastly multicultural school
population. A determined life long learner dedicated to his family
including his wife Carolyn of fifty years and his five children
including John, Michael, Vicki, Sarah and Sandy and their families
as well as his loving sister Mary Jane

cancer on September 3, the company's head office announced in
a letter this week.
SCHUMAKER was with Welcome Wagon for 26 years, serving as area

that SCHUMAKER will be missed.

and nephews and her international family of exchange students,
for whom she was also 'Mom.' Verna was a Life Member of Shelburne's
Trinity United Church Women and Silk's Ruth Sayres Women's Institute.
In recognition of her dedicated community service and support
of the Shelburne Rotary Club's Youth Exchange Program, she was
named a Paul Harris Fellow (Rotary International) in 1987. Verna
was humbled by the compassion and kindness shown during her illness
by Friends, nurses and caregivers, and she wished to thank all
who helped the family during this difficult time. The family
suggests donations in Verna's memory be made to the Progressive
Supranuclear Palsy Society or charity of your choice. Cremation
has taken place. The family will receive Friends at the Doney
Funeral Home, 318 Main St. E., Shelburne on Tuesday from 7-9
p.m. and
on Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. Funeral service in the Funeral
Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m.
