was also important to Debbie. She will be remembered and missed
for her quiet presence, and smiling face and wonderful sense
of humour. It was an honour and a privilege to have been part
of her life and she taught us a lot. The family would like to
thank the doctors and nurses at Alexandra Hospital and in the
Critical Care Trauma Centre of Old South Victoria Hospital for
their compassionate care of Debbie, and the rest of the family

life. He travelled extensively in his career and was blessed
with many Friends. He was born in Nipigon, Ontario, graduated
from University of Toronto and saw service in the Canadian Army.
On his return from Europe he taught one year at Ridley College,
St. Catharines, Ontario and then started his career with the
Department of External Affairs in 1946. His many postings included
Ambassador to Turkey, Ambassador to Yugoslavia and High Commissioner
to India. He had a wide range of interests throughout his life.
He was an enthusiastic golfer and a member of the Royal Ottawa
Golf Club. He enjoyed music, art, dancing and entertaining with
Friends. Thank-you to the doctors and staff at the Perley and
a very special and sincere thank-you for the extraordinary kind,
warm and loving care given by his special nurses. They were there
for him when family was not able. Funeral Mass will be held at
Notre-Dame Cathedral, Sussex Drive, Ottawa on Tuesday, August
23, 2005 at 10: 30 am. Interment Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of
