Suddenly on Saturday, June 18, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, Donald Geale DICKSON/DIXON at age 78. Don's absence will leave a huge void in the life of Ross BUCKBERROUGH, his partner for over 50 years. Don was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Kathleen, sister Elizabeth (Hugh BENNETT,) brother Geoffrey (Jeannie HENDERSON.) Sadly mourned by his sister Sydney BURK/BURKE of Toronto, his nieces Katie (David) HOFFMAN of Smith's Falls, Polly BURK/BURKE of Sooke, British Columbia, Kelly (Elide) BURK/BURKE of Ajax, Patricia (Ted) SAUNDERS of Yorkshire, England, Julie (Peter) NORDHEIMER of Gravenhurst, Vivian (Bob) WHITE/WHYTE of Toronto, Peter DICKSON/DIXON of Toronto and many others. A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Mark's Church, Niagara-on-the-Lake at a future date. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Mark's Church for the upkeep of the DICKSON/DIXON family plot which was very important to Don. 51, of Toronto, died suddenly of a heart attack on Saturday, May 7, 2005, at home in Toronto.
Service and burial will be on June 18 at 1 p.m. at The Belleville Cemetery (Sec B6, Plot 93), R.R.#2, Trent Rd, Belleville, Ontario.
A native of Belleville, "Sandy", son of George Vermilyea FAULKNER, M.D., M.C., British Chindit and Philippa Burrows FAULKNER, R.C.A., spent his childhood in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Returning to Canada, he was raised in a then pristine Glanmore. A designated National Historic Site, Glanmore, as of 1971 has been been under local management.
With his family, Sandy moved to Toronto, then travelling to England, where he was employed at Sotheby's. After returning to Canada, he was employed by The Toronto Transit Commission for 20 years, receiving commendations for safety. He was educated at the Grafton School, Berryville, Virginia, U.S.A.; St. Barnabas School, Niagara Falls; and Loyalist College, Canada.
A kind and gentle soul, his interests were varied, including Art, United Empire Loyalist history, Antiques, Politics. He loved his family and his country. As described by his Friends and co-workers, Sandy was simply 'a nice guy".
Survived by his sister, Anne, nephew Timothy, of Canada, his Aunt Sheila, Cousin Jane of the United States, we will always carry him in our hearts with an abiding love. Never forgotten.
A sincere 'thank you' to the E.M.T.s/ Paramedics who, as they do for all, made heroic, clear and focussed efforts to keep him alive.

Passed peacefully at her home in Pickering, December 13, 2005, surrounded by family and friend Linda SIMPSON. Loving daughter of Captain Fredrick GRIFFIN (Toronto War Correspondent) and Luella (FLOOD), Griffin Irondale Pioneer. Loving mother of Sue BUCKINGHAM (Lorne,) Steven FERNS and Kathleen FERNS. Devoted grandmother of Jason BUCKINGHAM. Mom served proudly March 19, 1943-December 24, 1944 in the Royal Canadian Air Force's Women's Division. Gram will be missed by Jason for her love and hours of discussions on history and debates on politics. Many thanks to Mom for handling her difficult time with grace and courage. Thank you to all our Friends for their love and support, visits, flowers and cards. A special thanks to Lorne, Jason and Linda for your love and support. If not for that I would not have been able to fulfill Mom's wishes of staying at home. Mom's true love was Irondale, where a celebration of life will be held in Kinmount in June. Much loved father of Helen (Brian) MANERY, of Wiarton; Shirley WOODS, of Saint Mary's Sharon (Gordon Jr.) SMITH, of Wiarton; Sheila (Stanley) McNEIL, of Wiarton and Wayne (Susan) BUCKLAND, of St. Catharines. Cherished grandpa to Wendy and Teresa WOODS, Christa BOONE, Scott MANERY, Michael SMITH, Katie BUCKLAND and great-grandpa to Carter and Madelyn BOONE, Keith and Aidan MANERY and Jesse McCOY. Lloyd was a World War 2 Veteran, a Gunner in the 5th Medium Artillery and member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #208. Lloyd enlisted in 1941, landing in Sicily and fought at Casino, Po Valley, from Florence, Italy to Marseilles, France, from there to Belgium and Holland. Later he settled with his wife on a farm in Keppel Township. The family will receive Friends at the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton, on Tuesday from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7: 00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel, on Wednesday, January 5th at 2: 00 p.m., with Reverend David LEGGATT officiating. A Ceilidh will be held at a later date to celebrate his love of life. Bill attended Victoria Public School, and K.C.V.I. then worked in the Merchant Navy for a few years. After working in the logging industry in British Columbia and the advertising industry in Toronto, he returned to Kingston to attend Queen's University. He taught for 30 years in local elementary schools. Since his retirement he has been active in the Cataraqui Optimists Society, the Heritage Tattoo Society and the board of directors of the Fort Henry Guard Club of Canada. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fort Henry Restoration Fund, or the Canadian Cancer Society. On Friday, January 21, 2005, Harry peacefully slipped away to his eternal rest. Loving and cherished husband of Marion for 56 years. Dear father of Sherry (BUCKLE) and Mark DURIEUX, Calgary Walter and his wife Mandy (Cole), Toronto; Douglas of Hamilton, Christine (BUCKLE) and Dennis JACOBS, Enniskillen, James and his wife Diane (Camp), Indian Harbour, Nova Scotia. Beloved "Grandpa B." of Meghan, Matthew and Emma, Calgary; Andrew and Gillian, Toronto, Maxwell, Samantha, Rebecca, Spencer and Adrian, Enniskillen Tia and Mai Mai, Indian Harbour, Nova Scotia, Matthew and Madeleine COLE. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Harry, born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. October 14, 1924, served in England and Europe during the second World War. Discharged in 1946, Harry later graduated from the University of Saskatchewan and completed post graduate studies at the University of Toronto. He worked as a manager for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce at a number of Postings in Ontario, California and Nova Scotia until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and member of the Hamilton Golf and Country Club for more than 40 years. He became a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Hamilton after returning to Toronto to complete his career with the bank. Funeral Service from Central Presbyterian Church, 165 Charlton Ave. West, Hamilton on Saturday, January 29 at 11 a.m. Interment at a later date in Victoria, British Columbia. FOOTE, John William, M.D.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William FOOTE, M.D., (F.R.C.S.C) on April 26th, 2005 at age 67 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, and raised in Montreal, he was Assistant Professor of Surgery at McGill University, Chief of Urology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and a urologist at The Royal Victoria Hospital.
Survived by his wife Jennifer and his five children Andrew FOOTE, John FOOTE, Tim FOOTE, Valerie Foote ROGERS, and Rod FOOTE. Also survived by his sisters Joan Ann CRAIGIE, Jill CONROD, Jennifer GILFILLIAN, June SLAKOV, Wendy CUMMINGS, and Pam COUPLAND and nine grandchildren. Predeceased by his mother Joan Francis BUCKLEY and his father William Rodgers FOOTE.
John was an exceptionally kind and caring husband, father, grandfather, surgeon, teacher, and friend. He will be so very missed by many.

Peacefully, on Saturday, July 30th, 2005 at the Peel Manor, Brampton. Anne, in her 87th year, wife of the late Bob NICHOLSON. Loving mother of James (Glenna), Monica SOUTHON (Leonard), Karen BUCKLEY- SOMERS (Wyman,) Gail NICHOLSON and the late Thomas. Loved grandmother of Dave, Cheri, Lynn, Steve, Doug, Rob, Frank, Julie, Chris, Leanne and Bradley and great-grandmother of 12 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her brothers and sisters. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones and son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Ave., Georgetown, 905-877-3631 on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. Cremation.
