Doris was welcomed to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 13th, 2005, in Kitchener, Ontario. She was born in Glenelg Township, Grey County on October 19th, 1923. Dear mother of Douglas (Judy), Kenneth (Lois,) both of Elora, Peter (Pat,) Carol (Colin) KIDDLE, both of Kitchener, and Robert (Jocelyne) of Welland. Grandmother of Laura (Jeff) HUFFMAN, Heather ECKHARDT, Rob ECKHARDT, Kendra (Jeff) BALTUS, Connie (Paul) FLORICA, Kevin (Tracy) ECKHARDT, Dwayne (Justine) ECKHARDT, Paul ECKHARDT, Jackie (Rob) DITTMER, Tony KIDDLE, Krista ECKHARDT and Matthew ECKHARDT. Loving great-grandmother of twelve. Doris is survived by her brother Mitch (Eve) ROBBINS, of Hanover and her sister, Lucy QUARRIER of Markdale. It is with deep sadness we announce her passing on Friday, May 20th, 2005 at Elgin Manor peacefully and surrounded by her loving family in her 78th year after a lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Dearly beloved wife of Harold Wynne for over 50 years. Dearly loved mother of Jo-Anne, Ruth BASKEY, Robert and wife Janice all of Saint Thomas, Mary Jane and husband David HOWELL of St. Catherine's. Much loved mother-in-law of Richard BASKEY of Sparta. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Griffin, Jason, Holly and Jamie BASKEY and Madison HOWELL. Dear sister of Dorothy MILLER of London, sister-in-law of Shirley BRYANT and husband Horace of Texas, the late Rosemary FARLEY and husband Richard of Brantford. Marjorie was born in Delaware Township on September 17th, 1927. The dearly loved daughter of the late Robert and Mabel FORSYTH) IRELAND. Marjorie came to Saint Thomas in 1954 and resided in Fingal since 1974. She was an active member of the First United Church and the United Church Women and a tireless worker for the St. Thomas Figure Skating Club for many years. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Tuesday morning and then to First United Church, St. George Street, Saint Thomas for funeral service at 11: 00 a.m. Private interment in Fingal Cemetery. Slipped away peacefully on Christmas Day. Dorothy was born 15 January, 1919 in Taber, Alberta, the younger daughter of Lionel Trelawney and Margaret Agar WESTLAKE. She attended the University of British Columbia, graduating in 1941. She met her husband, David Burrard SMITH, there and in 1942, they married in Ottawa. In their almost 64 years together, they lived in Ajax, Ottawa, Rome, London, Lobo and finally Chelsey Park Retirement Home in London, Ontario. She was the much-loved mother of Stephanie (George BRYANT,) Janet▼ (Fred CHANDLER) and Duncan (Sandra;) grandmother (DeeDee) to Margaret (Dominic STONES,) Jennifer, Susan (Geoffrey GOW,) Eleanor, Darryl and Tamara and great-grandmother to Emily, Gillian and Alexandra. They gave her endless satisfaction, a satisfaction they all returned many-fold. Dorothy worked as a hospital technician in Vancouver, Tranquille, Calgary and Ajax. In 1961, she graduated from Ottawa Teacher's College. She became a dedicated and successful teacher first in the Ottawa area at Bells Corners, Rockcliffe Air Base and Meadowvale, then in London at Orchard Park, St. George, Empress, Victoria, Riverview and Special Education. In retirement, she turned to art and painting and she was an active member of the London Brush and Palette Club. She and David traveled widely. Their rural retirement home in Lobo Township outside London with its woods and pond was a great delight. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7th, at 3: 00 p.m. at the Unitarian Fellowship of London, 557 Clarke Road, London. Queries can be directed to Stephanie BRYANT (416-762-6039). Now at peace after a courageous battle with Scleroderma lasting many years, he will be deeply missed by his wife of 52 years Grace, daughter and son-in-law Judy and Frank SPAHICH, and grand_sons Kevin and David SPAHICH. Dear brother of Helen PEZZETTA, Shirley MESSENGER, Doris GAY, and Don BRYANT. Predeceased by brothers Jim, Gord, Butch, Jack and sister Evelyn. Ken's faith in God gave him strength and the will to keep going. Despite the painful disease, which necessitated a liver transplant over 7 years ago, Ken and Grace continued to travel to visit Friends and family and enjoy their camping trailer in beautiful parks along their way to Nova Scotia each year. For their 50th anniversary they travelled by train to Vancouver, visited his sister and Friends, and enjoyed an Alaskan cruise. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 938 having driven the big rigs for over 45 years. He was previously in the Royal Canadian Navy. We urge you to discuss organ donation with your families, as the success of Ken's transplant added many good years to their life together. Dear father of Kathrine ROBERTSON (Kenneth), Ann OSMAR (Terry), Gwen BRYANT, Peter (Karen) and Keith (Gayle). Loving grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 2. Gordon was born in Eston, Saskatchewan in 1919. son of the late Allan and Emily WEBSTER. Brother of the late Freeman and Louise CATHERWOOD. He moved to Marie, Prince Edward Island in 1930, joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1940 as a flight sergeant. In 1943 married Marguerite CARR in St. George's United Church in Toronto. He was stationed in Moncton and then Goose Bay Labrador till the end of the War. Returned to Toronto, obtaining his chartered accountant degree (C.A.) from Queen's University. Moving to Thornhill, he became chief Accountant for Ontario Department of Highways and then Controller for Ontario Department of Labour, retiring from there in 1984. He was a member of Thornhill and Bracebridge United Churches. He loved fishing, bridge and was a member of South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club. Cremation has taken place. It is with great sadness the Imai and Bryant families announce the passing of Evelyn on Thursday, December 15, 2005. Beloved mother of Richard IMAI and Vincent IMAI. Loving grandmother of Sean, Tracy, Sarah, Wendy and Alexander. She is survived by her brothers John BRYANT, Richard BRYANT, and Raymond BRYANT. She will be greatly missed by her family and Friends. The family will receive Friends at The McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax (Pickering Village), 905-428-8488 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2005. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
