REMENDA, Nestor F.
It is with great sadness the family of Nestor F. REMENDA of Regina, announces his sudden passing on December 4th, 2005 at the age of 83 years. Nestor is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ina, his daughters, Jeanne REMENDA (Ken LABORDE) of Saskatoon, Margaret COWIE (Donald) of Regina, Victoria REMENDA (Michael O'CONNOR) of Kingston, Ontario, and Susan PENROSE (John) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, seven grandchildren, Shannon, Sarah, Graeme, Jillian, Thomas, Curtis, and Claire, his sister Sonia BRENNE (Keith) and brother Lionel REMENDA (Kathy.) Nestor was well-known as a dedicated and caring teacher by thousands of Regina high school students and colleagues, by students in rural Saskatchewan and Africa, by students of the Gabriel Dumont Institute, and by students at the University of Regina. He was an enthusiastic baker of bread, golfer, curler, traveler, adventurer and musician. Nestor was a great supporter of the arts, music, his beloved city and province. Nestor also served our country in the Navy during World War 2. He was a joyful and giving person whose service to his church and greater community was of great importance to him. His life was an inspiration to his family and Friends. A celebration of his life was held on Friday, December 9th 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. at Whitmore Park United Church, 336 Durham Drive, Regina. Dear father of the late Richard BOOTH (1985) and his wife Joan of Tillsonburg and Bernice and husband Joe CUZZOLINO of Oakville. Loving grandfather of Barry BOOTH, Kim CRONMILLER and her husband Steve, Brandon and Brianna CUZZOLINO and great grand_son Dylan CRONMILLER. Survived by his sister Marion CARTER of Ingersoll, Anna and Archie LONGWORTH of Ingersoll, Merle and Archie BRENNEMAN of Woodstock. Predeceased by his brother Finlay (1936). Russ served in World War 2 from 1941-1945 overseas with the Signal Corps; was P.P. of Optimist Club of Tillsonburg (1967-1968); was a P.M. of King Hiram Lodge #78 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons Tillsonburg; a member of the O.E.S., Tillsonburg; a member of Mocha Temple London; a member of the Hillbilly Outhouse #1, Saint Thomas; a P.P. of the Tillsonburg Fair Board (1971-1972); a retired teacher and co-ordinator of Masonry and Carpentry at Fanshawe College, Simcoe, retiring in 1988 and a soldier of The Salvation Army since 1999. At age 84 years, Stuart JEWELL died peacefully at Fairfield Manor East in Kingston on Friday, December 9th, 2005, leaving behind his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Livingston. He is also survived by 4 successful daughters, Suzanne JEWELL of King City; Diana JORDISON of Ancaster; Kathleen BRENNENSTUHL of Campbellville and Nancy McMARTIN of Ottawa; and by 2 grand_sons, Christopher and Ross, and 4 granddaughters, Heather, Laura, Michelle and Christine. Mr. JEWELL was a member of The Canadian Army Radar Training Centre during World War 2; is a Commander Retired of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons and a Past Master of Seymour Lodge #272 A.F. and A.M. During his Engineering career with Marconi and Westinghouse he was a prolific designer with some 28 patents to his name and won the Engineering Medal for Engineering excellence.

He leaves behind his brothers Jeffrey STARLING and Blue BRENT and their families, and countless family members and Friends who loved him very much. Chris was an easy person to love and lived his life with fervour. He will truly leave an emptiness in all the lives he touched. Much loved mother of Linda BRENT and her husband John. Adored and cherished Nana of Kathleen. Survived by her sister Laura WALSH of England; sisters-in-law Mary KEATING of Manchester, England and Merle MASSEY of Scarborough. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in England and the United States. Longtime employee of F.P.E./Pioneer Electric and A.G. Simpson. Former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 285. She volunteered at Woburn Junior Public School and for the Canadian Cancer Society for several years. BRENTNALL, John Hugh (1926-2005)
John BRENTNALL of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at the age of 79 years. John was born on April 27, 1926 in Motherwell, Scotland. He served overseas during World War 2 with the Cameronians from 1944 to 1947. Although John immigrated to Canada in 1951, Scotland has always remained home in his heart. He worked in Toronto and retired from Ontario Hydro. John moved to Calgary in 2000 to be closer to his children and grandchildren. John is survived by his son John; his daughter and son-in-law Carole and Barry; five grandchildren, David, Brent, Sean, Laura, and Maureen; his sisters, Ann, Sadie, Jane, May, and Betty; and his brother Tommy. John was predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-two years Maisie; and his brother Jimmy.

Bill's sudden passing on April 3, 2005 has brought great sorrow to his family. Born January 9, 1948 in London, Ontario to Bill and Lil TITUS. He met Carol, his wife of twentyeight years and together decided to come to Moose Jaw where they married in 1976. He enjoyed working for himself as a handyman on everything from shingling a roof to renovating a basement until his arthritis prevented him. Bill had a large heart and a wild spirit. Predeceased by his parents and a brother, D'Wayne, foster son, ‘Roddy' and best Friends Don GOULD and Bob BRENTNELL. Bill will be greatly missed by wife, Carol; sisters: Donna HARVEY of Collingwood, Drene (Jose) DACRUZ of Cambridge and Diane (Larry) PARADIS of London, and brother, Danny (Irene).
