Meg passed away peacefully at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. Meg joins her cherished husband Selby Beaufort STEWARD/STEWART/STUART (1978.) Loving and devoted mother of Jane GOULD and her late husband Keith of Burlington, Ann WESTELL and her husband Ian of Burlington, Sydney GERCSAK and her husband John of West Vancouver. Meg will continue to live in the hearts of her grandchildren, Alex BAKER (Mike,) Alison DECOSEMO (Jeff,) Julia and Lindsay WESTELL, Sean and Tyler GERCSAK. Always known for her love and kindness with children, Meg will be deeply missed by her great-grandchildren, Ashely, Emma and Katelyn BAKER and Megan DECOSEMO. A special thank you to Dr. Dennis BRANNAN for his medical guidance and support. Cremation and a private family interment has taken place in accordance with Meg's wishes. After a short but fierce struggle with pulmonary fibrosis, Larry died peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 10th, 2005. He was a son of the late Donald Wilfred MacHUM and Mary Gibson (MERRITT) MacHUM. He is survived by his wife, Judith BRANNEN, by four children -- Greg MacHUM (Ann) of Fredericton, Lauren COSMAN (Mike) of Saint John, Geoff MacHUM of Halifax and Grant MacHUM (Jane) of Halifax, as well as by three step children Lisa ALWARD (John BALL) of Fredericton, Peter ALWARD of Lethbridge and Gavin ALWARD (Mary) of Halifax. In addition, he is survived by 13 grandchildren (Melissa, Michael, Emily, David and Heather MacHUM, Jonathan and Justin COSMAN, Andrew and Matthew MacHUM, Henry, Alexander, Amelia and Mary MacHUM) and by five step grandchildren (Hilary, Jack and Peter BALL and Olivia and Emily ALWARD.) His sister, Kathryn GILLESPIE of Calgary, and brother, Donald (Sandy) MacHUM of Edmonton, along with five nieces and one nephew also survive. At Larry's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A family celebration of his life will take place at a later date. His remains have been cremated and his ashes will be scattered, as he wished them to be, over the Bay of Fundy. He loved his wife, his children, his beautiful garden and walking through the Yorkshire Dales. After a 2½ year battle with melanoma, Florio, in his 49th year, passed away as he wished at home, on Tuesday, September 27, 2005. He leaves behind his wife Jayne, his two sons, Marino and Marco, his mother Maria, and his only brother Silvio and sister-in-law Dorothy. Cherished uncle to Olivia and Elizabeth. Son-in-law to Ethel BRANNIGAN. Florio was known for his devotion to his wife Jayne for 25 wonderful years. His strength and determination helped him through this terrible illness. He fought his cancer head on and took every treatment available, even going to the U.S.A. He successfully ran A. Valente and Sons Construction Co. Ltd. for 25 years with his brother and partner Silvio. He was very respected in the business community and was a man of his word. He had a passion for racing and was always shining up his Porsche or Trans-Am. He was blessed with many great Friends and appreciated all the support they gave to him, especially these past few months. Special thanks to Vivian and Cosimmo, Kathleen and Paul, Lisa and John, Diana and Dominic, Marie and Dino, Bruce and Barb, Gerry and Antonella, Nancy and all the guys at Nino D'aversa. Passed away at the Trent Valley Lodge, Trenton, on Monday, May 30, 2005, after suffering the effect of Parkinson's disease. She was 92 years old. Beloved wife of the late Blake BRANSCOMBE and the late Dan MacFADYEN. Amy was born March 21, 1913, the daughter of homesteaders Samuel and Kate MARKS in Saskatchewan and one of 14 brothers and sisters. She was the first female President of the Ontario Public School Association and served as Chairperson on the Kirkland Lake and Timmins Public School Board. She leaves behind her children, Ivan and his wife Beryl of Trenton, daughter Heather NORD of Barrie, Sam and his wife Valerie of Mississauga, Harley and his wife Angela of Toronto. Mrs. Arbutus Georgina MacLEAN, age 79, of Kingsway Lodge, St. Marys and formerly of Stratford passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness at her residence on Tuesday January 18, 2005. Arbutus was born in McKillop Township, daughter of the late Joseph SMITH and the former Roma DIEGEL. In 1951 she married D. Ross MacLEAN and the couple lived in this area except from 1964 until 1971 when they lived in California. Ross predeceased her October 5, 2000. She was a former employee of Smith-Wagner Stationery and was a childcare worker for a number of years.
Arbutus was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Beloved mother of Brenda HOFF and fiancé Randy FISHER, Leamington, Brad MacLEAN and wife Kathy, London, Bonnie HUDSON and husband Bob, London, Bevin MacLEAN and wife Lisa BRANT, Stratford, Beverley MacLEAN, Arizona. Halifax, died peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2005 following a long courageous battle with cancer, 3 days after his 69th birthday.
Fred was the loving husband and best friend of Natalie, much loved father of Cathy (Greg) BRANTON, Mark and Julie (Rob) GREENAWAY, cherished grandfather of Sarah and Jason BRANTON, Michael, Gordon, and Kathleen McKEON, Quin and Joshua GREENAWAY. "Favorite" brother of Bette, Louis (Mary), Jim (Renalta), Sister Patricia, Jill, Jack (Rickie), and Barry (Mary). Well-loved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Thanks to special Friends Linda and Nick VILLANI for their tender care and loving support during Fred's final days. Many thanks to Dr. Paul McINTYRE, Ruby MacDONALD, and the wonderfully caring staff on the Palliative Care Unit 7A at the Victoria General Hospital.
Fred greatly appreciated the loving attention and support of all his family and Friends throughout the course of his illness.
Fred's favorite passions were, first and foremost, playing with his grandchildren, and enjoying golf, squash, and bridge games. He will be sadly missed for his joie de vivre, positive attitude and limitless energy.

Born August 7, 1921, in Oshawa, died in Hamilton October 25, 2005 in his 85th year. He was the loving husband and best friend for 56 years to his wife Frances, who predeceased him by 19 days. He was the loving father of Chris ROBINSON, friend of his wife Isabelle MIKOSZA and grandfather of their sons Denys and Nicolas. He leaves a sister, Frances BRASH, of Oshawa.
He served as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 2 in Britain and India. Retired from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources after 31 years as a Professional Forester.
