Loving grandmother of Bernice and her husband, David WRIGLEY, Kelly WRIGHT and his wife, Susan and Sherry and her husband, John BRADSHAW. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father James F. BRADSHAW of London, on August 27, 2005 at London Health Sciences Centre. Beloved son of the late James F. BRADSHAW and Sylvia Leah Kemkes BRADSHAW of Harris, Saskatchewan where he was born. Surviving are his wife Florence of London, daughter Lois and her husband David HOLDEN of London, sisters Helen (George) MARCHANT of Toronto and Norah (Gustaf) KRISTJANSON of Surrey, B.C. and a number of nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by daughter Amy (1996), brothers Ralph (1996) of British Columbia and Lloyd (2004) of Calgary. James was employed by Lafarge Canada prior to his retirement. He will be missed by his many Friends, neighbours, relatives, the Lafarge Alumni, the 49er's, all who were so very special to him. A private family service was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, on Monday, August 29, 2005. Cremation has taken place. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. After a lengthy illness, Evelyn BARBER (née BRADSHAW,) age 75, died peacefully in her family's arms, at Bluewater Health, Mitton Site on Friday, November 4, 2005. Beloved wife and best friend of Douglas BARBER for 54 years. Loving mother of Jill BARBER and her partner John MOFFITT, Pamela and her husband Charles LUTZ, and Darrin and his wife Ann BARBER. Proud grandma of Alexander, and April, Heather and Jackie, and Alexis. Dear sister of Frank (deceased 2000) and his wife Helen BRADSHAW and their children Rick, James and Michael. Sister-in-law of Bob and Carolyn BARBER, London, and their children Brent, Greg, Jennifer and Rebecca. Evelyn will be fondly remembered by her tennis, golf, bridge and church Friends in Sarnia, and by her Friends at Water Oak Estates in Florida. The family of Donald Keith McDONALD, of Petrolia, is saddened to announce his death on December 4, 2005 at Bluewater Health - C.E.E. Site, Petrolia. Born April 6, 1918, he was the youngest of 13 children born to Murdock and Mary Louella (BOWLES) McDONALD. He was predeceased by all his siblings, brothers, Lyle, Melbourne, Elmer, Wilfred, Leslie (Ruth) and Howard (Nora) McDONALD, sisters, Mabel (Wilber) BRADSHAW, Annie (Allan) McDOUGALL, Eva (Howard) RICKEL, Lucy (Homer) ANDERSON, Vera (Marvin) Rice and Dorothy (Edward) WILKINS. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Mavis (née SMITH) of 52 years, his sons, Shaun (Nanette) and Timothy; granddaughters, Kylie McDONALD and Laura McGREGOR- HAYES, step grandchildren, Alyssa and Brandon; daughter-in-law, Carol McGREGOR and foster son Brian WOLFE. He was predeceased by foster son, Edward McGREGOR (1989.) Beloved wife, for 57 rich and wonderful years, of the late Stanley E. KERR, who died seven years ago. Cherished mother of Sheila (Dennis O'NEILL,) Kitty (Julian HAY,) and David. She adored her grandchildren: Carolyn O'NEILL (Lorne ROTHMAN), Kathleen O'NEILL Carter (Tony), Jennifer McCARTHY, Alex McCARTHY, Andrea, Roxanne and Austin KERR; and her great-grandchildren: Quinn and Arielle ROTHMAN, William Stanley CARTER and Annabel Viola CARTER. She attended Brown School and Havergal College, became a nurse at the Toronto Central Hospital, and after staying home with her children, engaged in a 40-year successful career in real estate at Johnston and Daniel. She continued to be involved in her many activities right up until the day she died. Not only was she involved in organizations such as Lawrence Park Community Church and the Serenata Singers, but also, played excellent bridge, threw dinner parties for Friends and family at her house, enjoyed the Muskoka cottage and travelling. She always kept in touch with Friends in good times and bad. She left this message for us: "Let not your hearts be troubled. After a post-lung transplant struggle, infection finally brought this valiant warrior down.
Dale guided the three women in his life Gloria, Dawn and Ashley for 33 wonderful years. His force will keep them on their toes as he continues to live in their hearts and minds.
Although this lover of fine food and wine, this connoisseur of all things elegant and excellent, was forced to retire from the social scene months ago, his huge talent as a private investigator extraordinaire was in demand to the end with faxes and emails still coming in for his services.
In New York are brother David, wife Bea, children Scott, Todd, Nikki and Michael and extended family. In Toronto are family matriarch and cousin Lillian BRADSTREET, her children Paul, Michael, Brian and Dawn and their families. Across Canada, there are many relatives, Friends and business associates who he valued.
Thanks to all those who have shared his journey, and encouragement to those still travelling.
A celebration of Dales's life for family and Friends will be held in the autumn.

Sharp-shooter, plane aficionado, science buff. Born June 2, 1992, in Guelph, Ontario Died August 23 in Toronto of complications from Epidermolysis bullosa, aged 13.
It's hard to celebrate the life of a 13-year-old boy. Alex never had a chance to become the doctor that he wanted to be. He was too busy looking forward to Grade 8 and trips up to Kincardine, Ontario, to ever think that he might vanish from the planet so soon.
Yet Alex rose above the dire predictions that plagued his life. In the face of a painful and debilitating disorder, he found joy. Alex's laughter was so authentic, so uplifting, that strangers would often stop on the street and smile when they heard it. He liked to entertain, sometimes adopting a silly voice or changing the wording of television commercials to get a chuckle out of his dad Al and 10-year-old sister Maddy.
Alex had struggled with pain since coming into the world with no skin on his lower left leg and large blisters enveloping his fingers. The diagnosis: Epidermolysis bullosa, a rare genetic disorder in which layers of the skin don't hold together, instead separating into blisters. Milder forms cause pain. But Alex had recessive dystrophic Epidermolysis bullosa, the most severe and cruel form of Epidermolysis bullosa, other than those forms which take away life in infancy.
Thus began a war against an enemy his family could never defeat. There were the three hours of painful dressing changes at night, repeated hand surgeries until Alex's fingers fused and became useless. The trips to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children numbered in the hundreds, thanks to endless blood transfusions, physiotherapy, counselling, and emergencies. Worse, perhaps, were the psychological battles -- learning to live with the stares of strangers, keeping Alex's spirits up in the face of all his pain and helping him come to terms with physical limitations that eventually forced him to move around in a wheelchair.
But through this all, a little boy grew up to at least sit on the cusp of adulthood. Alex loved his X-box computer-game console, toy guns and cherished airplane collection. He adored movies and using his computer to whisk around in the disability-free world of cyberspace. Yet he was also thoughtful beyond his years. He would debate about the influence of Wal-Mart and the need for fair global trade. He talked about his place in school, preferring the company of smart "silly girls" to uber-cool cliques. He liked to shop without help, telling his dad: "You can't be shy if you're handicapped, you just won't make it." A fan of military history and Canada's peacekeepers, he even took Remembrance Day more seriously than some war veterans.
Then again, Alex was a veteran -- of a different kind of war. When he went to the hospital for the last time on August 23, he was suffering from another of the bacterial infections that sometimes plagued him because of his open wounds. He asked his mother Jocelyn for a drink of water, sipped it, and quietly said: "I don't feel so well." Those were his last words before dying of septic shock.
As they numbly left the room that night, his father was struck by the gear that Alex kept close at hand in his wheelchair for self-defence: the fan to keep him cool, Teflon-coated bandages that would not stick to skin, antibiotic cream, elastic bandage wrap, needles to puncture new blisters, scissors, pillows, syringes for administering antibiotics throughout the day, and even a little bowl in case the drugs made him queasy. As Al put it: "Maybe he was a little soldier after all, with hospital Identification bands as ribbons for each of the campaigns he had fought at Sick Kids just to survive."
