He served on The Catfish Creek Conservation Authority, for over
forty-one years. He was the livestock evaluator for his township
for many years. Phin bought and sold livestock from his Cloverdale
farm for over forty years. Visitation will be at the Verhoeve
Funeral Home, 262 Broadway, in Tillsonburg, on Friday April 22,
from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and again from 12:30 until

and London Community Foundation. He was past president of the
U.W.O. Alumni Association, London Regional Art Gallery and founding
member of U.W.O. Spring Festival and Foundation Western. George
received the U.W.O. Alumni Award of Merit in 1985. He served

of death with great equanimity, expressing gratitude for the

1945, she served in the Residence and Immigration Ministry in Toronto,
Ontario, Halifax, Nova Scotia and Edmonton, Alberta. As a Registered
Nurse she served in Health Care in Saint John's Hospital, Edson,
Alberta and
in Peace River Auxiliary Hospital in Peace River,
Alberta. On retiring from the active ministry, she returned to
the Motherhouse in Toronto and provided nursing support services
to our Sisters at Scarborough Retirement Centre. Sister Rita
will be remembered for her guidance and support for the young
women in her care, her welcome and practical assistance to Newcomers
to Canada, and her compassionate care for the sick and elderly.
Wherever she served she found creative ways to assist the sick,
the poor, the isolated and the lonely, bringing peace, tranquility
and love to all. Friends may call at LaSalle Manor, 61 Fairfax
